  • Great Island, Great Place

"My wife and I enjoyed a week's stay here in early March 2011. The penthouse apartment was very nice--clean, quiet, and well equipped. The view from the large, enclosed patio/living room was the best in the area. We purchased a supply of groceries so that we had our breakfasts there each morning. The managers met us at the airport and helped us arrange a rental car and transportation back to the airport at the end of our stay. They were very helpful even though they had planned their own vacation during our stay. In their absence, their daughter was available to help us. The location is perfect to really enjoy this island. A very nice beach is within walking distance, complete with a good restaurant and snack shop. We spent most afternoons there. If you like golf there is a very nice 18 hole course, also within walking distance. We rented a car and nearly every evening drove into Willemstad. There is free, safe parking in the Renaissance Hotel that is very accessible and from there its a short walk to great restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and plenty of shopping in both Punda and Otrabanda (areas on either side of the canal where large cruise ships and freighters enter the port.) Our favorite spot was a Cuban restaurant called Mr Congas and the Plein Cafe, a sidewalk cafe frequented by locals. We also spent time in the Mambo Beach area which is also great fun. (If you are there during the day, tell the security guard that you are going to visit Dolphin Academy and park in their parking lot even if you are not as Mambo beach parking area is pretty sketchy. If you are there a night, plan on parking in a lot near Hemingway's and then walk down the beach from there. Be sure to drive to Westpunt as there are many beautiful coves with wonderful beaches, complete with little cafes and dive shops that are well worth your time. It was a great vacation and our Blue Bay penthouse made it perfect. It is a great place and we highly recommend it to others. We certainly want to return again. Thanks for making it available."

  • Simply Stunning

"My family and I just spent a week in this house and found it to be perfect in every way. The pictures on this site, although beautiful, do not do the house justice. The layout of the home really accentuates its beautiful waterfront location, and I can honestly say that we spent more time in the outdoor living area than we did "inside." Sitting by the infinity pool and enjoying a cool drink while watching and listening to the waves crash against the rocky shore became my favorite activity and made it very difficult to leave the house and go anywhere else on the island. Snorkeling right off the deck was also pretty amazing and the large variety of coral I saw just offshore eclipsed most of the other snorkeling spots I visited during my stay. I have visited Curacao many times and stayed in houses all over the island including Coral Estates, Jan Sofat, and Piscadera Bay. However, I must say that this was by far my favorite location. My kids loved being able to walk down to the bustling Jan Thiel beach, and we enjoyed several meals at the many beach restaurants nearby. Of course, this was also the most expensive area we had stayed in, but it was worth every penny. In short, I would recommend this house to anyone but feel compelled to warn you that, after spending a few days there, you will never ever want to leave. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Excellent location for diving and snorkeling

"We had a very enjoyable stay with an extended family of 3 sisters and 2 husbands. The best snorkeling in North Curacao is right here. There are restaurants nearby but no markets. It is about an hour drive to Willemstad. We arrived late and the manager had the door open and the key ready for us to walk in. The manager also cheerfully repaired a few minor problems with the unit. Great place!"

Activities and Attractions at Curacao Villas

Curacao is one of the Caribbean’s top underwater and diving destinations. The pristine coral reefs will delight even the most experienced of divers. A highlight of Curacao diving is a site known as the mushroom forest. Here, you can experience a magical underwater forest of giant mushroom-shaped star coral. Some are as large as 10 feet.
