  • Good Times, Great Place

"Place was as described and as indicated in the photographs. We had a good time staying here. We spotted dolphins and a turtle during our stay. We would come back to this place!"

  • Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer

"We really enjoyed our stay at the house. We were two families of four (including a toddler) and we felt very welcome and right at home. The house was amazing! Franca was available to meet us the first day (even though our flight was late) and she was very quick and timely with our early-morning departure. She also responded to questions about groceries, beaches, etc throughout the week. We were sad to leave and would love to come back again. The whole process, from the first email to the owner to our departure from the house, was very easy and we always felt welcomed."

  • Very nice, peaceful location; comfortable digs

"I was really sad to have to leave Curacao and Marazul. The apartment was in such a beautiful, peaceful location. You really couldn't ask for anything more serene. I don't know if it's always so quiet but seems like the other guests were all couples and small families so it was very mellow. That was nice for us. We didn't mind the distance from Willemstad. We drove down there 4x (2x for snorkeling, 1x for the Klein Curacao boat trip, and 1x just to walk around) and we didn't really mind the schlep. The way the apartment is situated so you could either eat with a view upstairs or downstairs was so nice. I could have spent the day on the patio listening to the rustling trees and waves. There was a wonderful variety of beautiful birds flying around the property. And to be able to see the sunset from the balcony! Fabulous! The condo was very comfortable for two, might have been a little snug for another couple but doable. The condition of the condo was very good. Had a little trouble with the fridge freezing some fresh produce so take care there. Like most condo rentals, knives were very dull making chopping veggies a challenge. Being out on the quiet end of the island did mean more limited restaurant--and grocery shopping--options but we did pretty well. We ate 2x at Trio Pinotti which was my favorite place. Two fantastic meals there. (Highly recommend the coconut fish as many others on Trip Advisor did.) Ate once at Daniel which was also terrific but a long drive and too long dinner for a repeat. We also ate at Forti which was OK ("rustic" as the neighbor put it. I'll say! but I enjoyed eating a lionfish there and doing my duty to rid the Caribbean of the invasive species.) We also ate at Rancho El Sobrino which was fine. We didn't have the greatest conditions for snorkeling through the week but managed to see some amazing things. Right off Marazul we saw an octopus! We saw squid at Tugboat. The best snorkel we had was at Santa Cruz though which is not far at all from Marazul. It was really amazing. Snorkelers don't always get to see much of a variety of coral but this place was special--out around the rocky shelf point to the left side of the beach. Long swim but worth it. As for diving Watamula was great as recommended by Andrea and Chris. It was a great trip!"

  • A week in paradise

"Our stay at Villa Sea Paradise was outstanding. We had made arrangements for the local property manager to shop for us ahead of time which was money well spent. It was nice to have cold beverages upon arrival. The house and the view could not be more beautiful. The kitchen opens to the outdoor seating areas so you always have the beautiful view. The villa is appointed nicely. Nice glasses and cookware, comfortable outdoor and poolside seating with umbrellas for shade, as well as comfortable beds. There is a TV room in the front of the house with lots of videos, but we didn't want to spend time inside. The wind was strong the week we were there and we didn't get to access the water from the swimming platform until the last day. It's a nice area to snorkel, lots of soft corals. You can also access the water via a ladder at the Papagayo resort and swim back to the villa (just remember to lower the ladder!). Other nearby areas to snorkel include Tugboat, Directors Bay, Caracas Bay. We had a delicious meal at Pop's on Caracas Bay after snorkeling there. It took some time but it was well worth the wait. We also took advantage of being able to walk to the nearby restaurants and grocery store. Both the owner and local property manager were a pleasure to work with. They responded to all of our questions promptly. I would highly recommend this villa."

Activities and Attractions at Curacao Villas

Curacao is one of the Caribbean’s top underwater and diving destinations. The pristine coral reefs will delight even the most experienced of divers. A highlight of Curacao diving is a site known as the mushroom forest. Here, you can experience a magical underwater forest of giant mushroom-shaped star coral. Some are as large as 10 feet. The diving conditions are ideal and typically, you can enjoy crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and calm swell conditions. On land, the islands have some unique attractions. The Hato Caves are an intricate network of limestone stalactites and stalagmites. There are also a number of cave drawings which are believed to dates back 1,500 years. For those who enjoy exploring nature trails, the Christoffel National Park has miles of scenic trails for visitors to enjoy. You can photograph wildlife or visit the beautiful cultivated gardens. It is also an excellent place to enjoy an evening out as there are many fine restaurants in the town.
