"We stayed three weeks at the 5* apt. To say it was superb does not do it justice. As it has been mentioned before, there are wonderful restaurants all in walking distance. If you want to cook at home, all the utensils & pots, pans, plates, etc. are provided & are in very fine condition. The pool is just great. Walking into town is 10 mins. & there are a multitude of fun things to do. Cindy & David are excellent hosts & very willing to cater to your needs.I really can't say enough about them..they are the best. The accomodations are really excellent-do yourself a favor & stay here..it's great."

  • Perfect

"Our week at Enchantment Villa could not have been better. The villa is exactly as shown in the photos. It is large and handles 6 people easily. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies, dishes and cooking utensils. Towels and beach towels are provided. The Wi-fi and cable a plus. The weather cooperated with no rain, sunny skies, and balmy evening breezes. The snorkeling and scuba excellent. The owner is more than helpful with suggestions of where to eat, etc. We hope to return to Enchantment Villa."

  • The perfect relaxing get-away!

"We travel alot and have had many great experiences with VRBO, but this house was simply perfect .... the view was spectacular, the house was extremely comfortable, the pool was great. The owners were extremely easy to deal with and responsive. We'll be back! The ideal place for a low-pressure relaxing week!"

  • Sirena Bay is spectacular, just like the people

"To anyone considering this property I would look no further. As others have said the pictures tell half the story and show half the beauty. From the moment my family (wife, three kids and my mother in law) walked through the doors we were taken by the beauty of the property. From the art (which is truly masterful and exquisite) to the comfortable bedrooms we were all mesmerized by its beauty. While the stay was not without it's problems (air conditioning in bedroom not working first night, toilet busting in pool house and dispensing its sewage on the floor) all issues were taken care of professionally and expeditiously. Mark, who is the caretaker for the property, is a most wonderful man. He made sure the property was running smoothly, answered all questions and made our stay so much better. (We will never forget our breakfast by the pool complete with fresh picked Gnips!). I cannot say how much we appreciated Mark (and his wonderful family!) and hope our paths cross again. Finally, Richard made our experience whole. From his pleasant demeanor, to his knowledge of the island to his transporting to and from the airport all he did was perfect. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and hopefully we see each other soon!"

Curacao Travel Tips

Traveling to Curacao Vacation Rentals

Getting to Curacao is easy. There are several daily non-stop flights directly to Curacao from major cities in the United States. Regular commercial flights are operated by several major airlines which means that you should be able to find reasonably affordable airfares. If shopping around for the best deal, you may consider routing via one of the nearby Caribbean destinations such as Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Bonaire, Trinidad & Tobago, or Jamaica. All these destinations have good international air links and frequently scheduled commercial flights on to Curacao. If traveling from Europe, there are daily flights between Curacao and Amsterdam. There are also good flight connections from major South and Central American cities. There is a local departure tax which is payable at the airport. The Curacao International Airport boasts modern facilities and the longest runway in the Caribbean. It has the capability to host almost any kind of aircraft.

Activities and Attractions at Curacao Villas

Curacao is one of the Caribbean’s top underwater and diving destinations. The pristine coral reefs will delight even the most experienced of divers. A highlight of Curacao diving is a site known as the mushroom forest. Here, you can experience a magical underwater forest of giant mushroom-shaped star coral. Some are as large as 10 feet. The diving conditions are ideal and typically, you can enjoy crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and calm swell conditions. Snorkelers can enjoy the underwater wonders on the shallower reefs. For those who simply want to relax and enjoy the sunshine, there are miles of beautiful sandy white beaches and persistent good weather.

On land, the islands have some unique attractions. The Hato Caves are an intricate network of limestone stalactites and stalagmites. There are also a number of cave drawings which are believed to dates back 1,500 years. For those who enjoy exploring nature trails, the Christoffel National Park has miles of scenic trails for visitors to enjoy. You can photograph wildlife or visit the beautiful cultivated gardens. Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful pastel-colored buildings are unique in that it is the only place outside of the Netherlands where such fine examples of Dutch colonial architecture can be found. Willemstad is a shopper’s delight with boutiques and galleries offering a wide assortment of high-end purchases. It is also an excellent place to enjoy an evening out as there are many fine restaurants in the town.

Visitors to Curacao Resort Rentals

Curacao attracts many European visitors to its sunny shores. On any given day, you can hear a wide range of languages spoken on the beachfront. Many North American travelers come to visit to enjoy the amazing natural wonders and warmer tropical climate. It is generally considered one of the more affluent Caribbean destinations and many of the resorts cater to the up-market traveler. In terms of diving destinations, it is a world-class spot and diving enthusiasts from all over the globe come to experience its underwater marvels. The landward natural attractions attract adventure enthusiasts and many make excellent photo subjects.

Best Time of Year to Visit Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Curacao

Curacao enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. Heavy rain falls tend to occur in May and again in October and November; these are generally the off-season months for travelers. The summer months can get very hot which is ideal if you enjoy water sports but perhaps too warm to laze on the beach. The peak travel season is during the moderately cooler months which are from December through April.
