  • Stay at Villallure

"This is just a beautiful house - I think my favorite features were the mahogany doors and windows that opened, and had the screens - especially the one in the master bath shower. The house is very well equipped and maintained, and the grounds are lovely. It sleeps 10, but is so spacious and has so many little niches where you can "get away" that you would never feel crowded. I had numerous pleasant conversations and emails with the owner, and she was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this house, and hope to bring a group here sometime."

  • Amazing Honeymoon

"Go to Eleuthera and stay here!! We could not have picked a better place to spend our honeymoon. We stayed at Pura Vida for 10 nights and it was an amazing trip. Everything is as described and so much better in person. The view from the house and on the beach is exquisite. The grounds are even more private than pictured. You cannot be seen from inside the house or in most of the backyard by any neighboring houses or anyone on the beach. We only saw 2 people on the beach the whole time we were there. We loved laying in the hammock or in the loungers and watching the waves or stars. I would definitely recommend renting a jeep. There is so much to explore of the island and the roads are not in the best shape. Have some conch fritters and enjoy 1 of the many beautiful beaches! We found that no matter how many beaches we discovered, none were more beautiful than what we already had in Double Bay. We brought back a large back of pink sand and plenty of amazing memories with us. We are already planning our return trip. :)"

  • Best vacation place yet.

"The condo and view were better than the pictures. The property was spotless and since we had an additional week rec'd a mid-term cleaning and the crew did a fantastic job. Kitchen has all everything. BBQ came in handy as did the beach chairs. Spent most of our time diving and having a great Dive shop like Dive Friends Bonaire was perfect and they will take you over to their Yellow Sub location for the boat dive. Cannot wait to come back again. I cannot say enough about Connie the owner very responsive as was Mark the Mark for any needs we had during our stay. My wife is a light sleeper and she was never bothered once with the airplane traffic. It is so quiet and peaceful day or night."

  • Great Penthouse Condo!

"We stretched our budget a bit when we selected this rental, but we're very glad we did! The condo is beautiful, with generously-sized rooms. With 5 adults, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The view from the lanai is fantastic, and the breezes made it comfortable no matter the temperature. It was convenient to be within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in town. The condo is exactly as pictured (except for the lack of mosquito nets, as mentioned by another reviewer), so what you see is what you get. The owner was helpful, answering my many questions about the rental and Bonaire in general (it was our first time to the island.) Sebastiono, the property manager was waiting for us when we got to the island and met us in the early morning hours when we left for home. One comment that has nothing to do with the condo itself: the local residents like to celebrate the New Year with LOTS of fireworks. We heard them periodically the entire week we were on the island, but the show at midnight was spectacular. Good thing the bedrooms were air conditioned, because the explosions made it was impossible to sleep with the windows open!"

Activities and Attractions at Curacao Villas

Curacao is one of the Caribbean’s top underwater and diving destinations. The pristine coral reefs will delight even the most experienced of divers. A highlight of Curacao diving is a site known as the mushroom forest. Here, you can experience a magical underwater forest of giant mushroom-shaped star coral. Some are as large as 10 feet. The diving conditions are ideal and typically, you can enjoy crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and calm swell conditions. Snorkelers can enjoy the underwater wonders on the shallower reefs. For those who simply want to relax and enjoy the sunshine, there are miles of beautiful sandy white beaches and persistent good weather.

On land, the islands have some unique attractions. The Hato Caves are an intricate network of limestone stalactites and stalagmites. There are also a number of cave drawings which are believed to dates back 1,500 years. For those who enjoy exploring nature trails, the Christoffel National Park has miles of scenic trails for visitors to enjoy. You can photograph wildlife or visit the beautiful cultivated gardens. Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful pastel-colored buildings are unique in that it is the only place outside of the Netherlands where such fine examples of Dutch colonial architecture can be found. Willemstad is a shopper’s delight with boutiques and galleries offering a wide assortment of high-end purchases. It is also an excellent place to enjoy an evening out as there are many fine restaurants in the town.

Best Time of Year to Visit Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Curacao

Curacao enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. Heavy rain falls tend to occur in May and again in October and November; these are generally the off-season months for travelers. The summer months can get very hot which is ideal if you enjoy water sports but perhaps too warm to laze on the beach. The peak travel season is during the moderately cooler months which are from December through April.
