  • Perfect vacation in Paradise!

"Let me begin by saying I'm a die-hard Hawaii-fan, Kauai to be precise. My friends were curious to see how On The Rocks, Virgin Gorda, would measure up to my impossible standards. Well, in four words, I was blown away. I am utterly in love with this place and all that it has to offer. I have a great deal of trouble relaxing and unwinding on vacation, but On The Rocks was the most relaxing vacation I've ever had. The house is stunning without being pretentious and there is no amenity overlooked. The bedroom suites are magical. The outdoor showers are a delight. The views are out of this world and the pool is perfect. We kayaked, swam, snorkeled, hiked, ate fabulous food, got massaged, boated to neighboring islands, and generally felt like adults at summer camp. I've been fortunate enough to visit On The Rocks twice, and I will return as often and as soon as I can!"

  • Mary et al.

"Paradise Dream Villa was awesome and the perfect spot for a vacation. We spent 7 sun filled days there last week and everything was excellent. Brenda the caretaker took great care of us getting us to the villa and settling us in. Everything you could need is there and taken care of. The location on the East End is convenient to St Johns and many other locations on St Thomas. The villa has amazing views and is so comfortable, it is hard to leave to explore! A pleasure to return to each day. We definitely hope to return!"

  • Paradise and relaxation

"We stayed with David and Amanda in the middle of April 2015 and we could not have had a better trip. The cottage, access to the beach and pool was perfect and exactly what we wanted. It was a great size, clean, comfy and had everything we needed. We wanted a more private and local feel to our stay rather then go to a hotel and we got both. We were able to cook some of our own meals or go out if we wanted. David and Amanda were wonderful too and so helpful. They gave us many suggestions regarding food, shopping, beaches, things to do etc. they made our stay so pleasant and we felt more than welcome on their property. We would come back for another vacation and stay here again. What a beautiful island, cottage and hosts. Thank you both so much for everything. We had a wonderful time!! Best wishes, Katie and Stephen"

  • A secluded spot with benefits!

"Loving our stay at "Gumbo Limbo"! Relaxing and laid back for those looking for relaxation, but who enjoy amenities like Wi-Fi, Sat./VHF radio and Direct TV. Island living at its best. Reluctant to give too positive a review as others will might consider this lovely retreat as a place to getaway. Beautiful furnishings, books to read and all the cookware/seasonings one needs to prepare any meal. Commanding view of the Sea of Abaco, Atlantic Ocean and Foots Cay. The Ocean and swaying curtains rock you to sleep at night. Words cannot describe this wonderful cottage."

Activities and Attractions at Curacao Villas

Curacao is one of the Caribbean’s top underwater and diving destinations. The pristine coral reefs will delight even the most experienced of divers. A highlight of Curacao diving is a site known as the mushroom forest. Here, you can experience a magical underwater forest of giant mushroom-shaped star coral. Some are as large as 10 feet. The diving conditions are ideal and typically, you can enjoy crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and calm swell conditions. Snorkelers can enjoy the underwater wonders on the shallower reefs. For those who simply want to relax and enjoy the sunshine, there are miles of beautiful sandy white beaches and persistent good weather.

On land, the islands have some unique attractions. The Hato Caves are an intricate network of limestone stalactites and stalagmites. There are also a number of cave drawings which are believed to dates back 1,500 years. For those who enjoy exploring nature trails, the Christoffel National Park has miles of scenic trails for visitors to enjoy. You can photograph wildlife or visit the beautiful cultivated gardens. Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful pastel-colored buildings are unique in that it is the only place outside of the Netherlands where such fine examples of Dutch colonial architecture can be found. Willemstad is a shopper’s delight with boutiques and galleries offering a wide assortment of high-end purchases. It is also an excellent place to enjoy an evening out as there are many fine restaurants in the town.

Best Time of Year to Visit Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Curacao

Curacao enjoys a year-round warm tropical climate. Heavy rain falls tend to occur in May and again in October and November; these are generally the off-season months for travelers. The summer months can get very hot which is ideal if you enjoy water sports but perhaps too warm to laze on the beach. The peak travel season is during the moderately cooler months which are from December through April.
