  • An Ideal Vacation

"Our first impression was positive. When we entered the grounds, we were greeted with a beautifully maintained property. The unit is all you can ask for - the views of the ocean from the living area and the master bedroom are magnificent, the furniture is very up-to-date, and new appliances had been installed in the kitchen the day before our arrival. Both bedrooms and the living area have TVs and DVD players. There are plenty of DVDs and books to choose from. Wayne and Kim have made sure to create a very comfortable and desirable atmosphere for their guests. In addition, Wayne and Kim were kind enough to recommend places of interest and local restaurants in Cabarete that helped us make the vacation a 10. Cabarete was great - beaches, restaurants on the beach, activities and music can be found throughout the town. We plan to vacation in the DR again."

  • Reluctant (wink) 5-Star Review

"We hesitate to brag about Amori House only because our selfishness does not want Ten Bay to become popular...can't it remain the secret of just a few? The seclusion in plain sight is awesome. Amori is the PERFECT spot for human battery recharge. Our return visit to old friend Ten Bay was greatly enhanced with the ability to reside on the beach. It truly does not get any better than Amori House with post card sunsets, best beach lounging in the Bahamas, no-drift floating in the bay, pressure free snorkling, calm kayaking waters, Causarina shade for book reading and just enough Wi-Fi to gloat on FaceBook. Ama is such a gracious owner to offer their home for others to enjoy and was great to work with in advance of our trip. Island Farms' Anne set us up for our stay and then had all the great veggies, pesto, sauces and breads to highlight our home cooked meals. Then there's Double Bay just a few minutes to the other side of the island for sunrises and beach lounging seclusion. Check out some of Eleuthera's other lonely, pristine, pink sand beaches on the Atlantic side (Whiteland was superb), but you'll find yourself back at Ten Bay treating yourself to 4 o'clock cocktails and Kalik."

  • Great location

"Great apartment for a comfortable family stay. Was perfect with our 18 month old daughter. Beach at the end of the boardwalk was calm and felt safe to have her play in. Evening walks along the boardwalk showcase the sunset and provide several dining/drink options. Beautiful to wake up to the sounds of the ocean every morning. Communication with owners was easy and recommend this particular villa in the building to anyone visiting Barbados."

  • Spanish Wells = Best kept secret on the planet !

"My husband and I just returned on Oct. 4th from Spanish Wells. We spend our 10th Anniversary at Western View Cottage owned by the wonderful Newbold family. I truly can't say enough good things about them or the island! It was exactly what we were looking for....beauty, solitude and a safe, quiet, and CLEAN place to decompress from hustle & bustle of daily life at home. The house was VERY spacious (more than we needed really) but was nice to be able to sprawl out :) We plan to rent the Coral Cove next year. Wifi was perfect so that very nice as that was a concern for us. Tyson took us fishing/lobster spearing where we caught 4 lobsters, black fin tuna, barracuda and lost a couple wahoo! What a blast and the highlight of our trip...THANKS Tyson! We also went to the neighboring Russell , Harbour and Eleuthera Islands and we absolutely loved learning the history of each. The beaches are the best we've ever seen (and we've been to many islands) and we had them all to ourselves each day we were there. We had a blast snorkeling and kayaking each day. The people are as friendly and helpful as the come always greeting you with a smile and wave. I've been to 13 countries and not one has left such an impression on me as Spanish Wells did. It was truly a breath of fresh air in an ever darkening world full of wars, crime and hate. I pray to the Almighty that it remains preserved in such a manner that it is today. Until we meet again Spanish Wells.....Much love & many Blessings to you all !! Kim & Ian Smaagaard Fort Knox, KY (Go Wildcats) !!"
