"This is a beautiful house on an absolutely gorgeous bay. Having never been to the Bahamas before, i did not know what to expect but this vacation home exceded what i was hoping for in every way. We like to be very active on our vacations and Green Turtle Cay did not disappoint. We went scuba diving with Brendal's dive center and offshore fishing with The Rock fishing charters. We also rented a boat from Donny's boat rental to do some exploring and the owner lined up a golf cart for us to get around town. Coco bay provided hours of snorkeling and we did actually catch bonefish right out front. There are several great restaurants around town but they do tend to be expensive so I would recommend trying to cook some meals at the house. The locals were very accommodating and take pride in keeping their island clean and safe. We flew into Treasure Cay airport by private plane and caught the ferry over to Green Turtle Cay where we were met by the housekeeper at the dock and escorted to the house. Numerouse charter planes also operate in and out of Treasure Cay so getting there should not be a problem. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family. Thanks Joe for letting us rent your island paradise."

  • Relaxing Get-away

"Excellently maintained property with the use of a golf cart which makes getting around the small island a breeze. Internet was a must for the older kids as there is not a lot on the island for them to do, our kids (16, 14, 12) loved the laid back feel of the island and the lack of crowds, but it wouldn't suit all. Most of the time the beach is quiet with a great swimming area, but you can get a bit swamped when the day trippers from the St Thomas cruises arrive, but they don't stay for long. If you do want a little more to do then St Thomas is an easy ferry ride away, with extensive shopping etc. There are only two beach bars on the island but we found the food good, Heidi's did an excellent dinner on a Saturday night. No grocery shops so be prepared to make several ferry trips over to the main island for provisions. The owners were fantastic, answering all our questions prior to the visit very promptly and going above and beyond whilst we were there. Would definately recommend this property and it would be absolutely ideal for two couples with lots of space, great deck, very well equipped kitchen etc."

  • Perfect vacation!

"Our family of 4 stayed for a week and had a fantastic time! This was our first trip to PR and we debated about staying in San Juan, Rincon, or Fajardo. Fajardo was a good pick because it is near a lot of activities. It’s quiet and right near ocean, but with enough amenities nearby to be comfortable. On the drive from the airport you will pass a wide variety of areas. Pena Mar Ocean Club will be everything you expected and is in a nice area. It is also gated, extremely well maintained, and occupied by a good mix of full time residents and vacationers. Luisa’s apartment is excellent and just as advertised. It is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, quiet, and with a nice ocean view from the patio. Everything was sparkling clean. In the morning you can see the sun come up over the water and view of the marina - very picturesque. We were up early every day and too tired to do much at night, so having use of the facilities at Pena Mar was perfect. The basketball court and pools kept our teenagers entertained, and everyone appreciated having the WiFi, flat screens, and comforts of home. There is no food on site so be prepared to get groceries which are about 15 minutes away and not difficult to find. Luisa provides a very detailed book with local recommendations. If you want to try some of the paid tours it’s a good idea to go online and book when you first arrive or in advance. We tried and recommend the East Wind catamaran trip; Pure Adventure Biobay kayaking tour; Carabali Ranch; and Camuy Caves. Our favorite trip was a day trip on the SS Tobias to snorkel off of Culebra. Luisa also knows a local tour guide/driver for day trips. We did this for the Camuy trip and highly recommend."
