"Three of us stayed in this beautiful two bedroom condo for two weeks! Itis very centrally located in the quaint Creole town of Grand Case, right on
the beach! The highlight of the building is the balcony overlooking the
beach which runs the width of the three story building. The second and
third floor units (we were on the second floor) are completely furnished
with table for six, and large lounge area. You can sit out there all day
out of the sun if you like, and around 4:00 when the sun starts to come
around and it gets hot, you can move out to the balcony on the street side
where there is always a lovely breeze and shade at that time of the day, and
its a great spot for people watching! The bedrooms are on the street side
of the building. One has 2 twin beds and an adjoining shower/sink, while
the other has a king bed with ensuite shower/sink, and they are air
conditioned with very quiet units. There is only one toilet located
between the two bedrooms. The kitchen/sitting room are in between the
balcony and bedrooms and face the ocean with sliding glass doors the entire
width. There is no a/c in this area however if you open the back french
doors you get a nice cross breeze. The kitchen is very well equipped but
small. The lower floor is split between and office on the beach side one
one side and second bathroom, with a shower on the balcony for washing the
sand off. There is also a shared laundry room located in the back. There is
a small wooden deck off the front with stairs down to the beach. Beach
chairs and towels are provided as well as all other linens. There is also a
charcoal Weber grille for your use on the deck. The beach is very quiet, at
times we were the only people there. The sand is fine and white and the
water perfect for swimming because this area of the bay is protected so
there are no big waves. The view if the entire bay is fantastic. There is
one parking spot per unit off street which is great because the street is
one lane, one way and parking is hard to come by, especially in the evenings
when the shops and fabulous French restaurants open and the tourists from
all over the island flood in.
The building is very clean and well maintained. It is secured from the
street and beach sides with locking iron gates and has a security system, as
well as metal roll down shutters across the beach balconies. There is
satellite TV however there are only French channels. The wifi reception is
pretty good but can be a bit"

"My husband, 19 yr old son & I just returned from a wonderful week at Fandango House. We were joined by my husband's brother, sister-in-law & their 26 year old daughters. The property was absolutely perfect for our extended family. With 3 separate living spaces, we all could go to "our separate corners" and not be on top of each other, yet have plenty of space to cook & eat together, play games, etc. The house is well-stocked, very clean & very comfortable. The pictures do not do the house justice - the grounds are gorgeous! We all enjoyed the pool and loved the views! Donna, the caretaker, is awesome and was so helpful in answering any questions we came up with during our stay. The location is excellent - 5 minutes to Long Bay Beach, which is the most beautiful on the Island. It's maybe 10 into West End for groceries & the Ferry. There are a number of cute restaurants close by as well. A 4-Wheel Drive car is a must though! Be sure to take a day trip via West End ferry ($10) over to Jost Van Dyke. Eat at Foxy's & then head to White Bay ($10 cab round trip) to hang-out in front of the Soggy Dollar & enjoy their infamous pain killers! We also took a day sail out of Road Town on The Aristocat - another must do! I highly recommend Fandango House for your next trip to Tortola!"

"My husband and I stayed with Christina and Leonard for our honeymoon 10/12-10/17. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of wine and a tour of the property. Leonard has turned the property into a tropical sanctuary, completely fenced in and very secure. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and using the pool. The apartment was clean and cute, just like the pictures show. The only bed and bathroom are upstairs. Amenities included WI-fi, satellite TV, iron, umbrellas for rainy days and plenty of kitty cats, lizards and birds to look at. The cottage was air conditioned on both floors and very comfortable. The kitchen was large enough for us to cook many meals. Leonard took us to the grocery store and we were able to buy a lot of the same brands of food we get here in the states. But we warned... Everything we purchased was 3x's what we pay at home. This is no fault of our hosts nor has it anything to do with the cottage but I thought I would share that with future travelers. If you think you will save money by cooking and eating in, that might not be the case. A gallon of milk was $12. Anyway, the kitchen had utensils, pots, pans, etc. Christina also went and picked up a few things for us so our mini fridge wouldn't be empty when we got there. They also provided us beer, wine, rum and vodka. If you are considering staying here as sightseer, this is a good location. You are close enough to the action downtown but far enough that if you don't want to have anything to do with it, you'll never know it's there. If you plan to ride the Jitney (public bus transportation) use bus 19. It travels south on Village Road about every 10 minutes. It will take you around a lot of residential neighborhoods but then circle back to the downtown area. Straw Market and Junkanoo beach are two of the places we frequented most. We also caught bus 10 out towards Cable Beach, but there are many good beaches before you get that far out. Plus Cable Beach is mostly for the hotels. Christine and Leonard we very nice people and we felt 100% safe staying with them. The listing says it sleeps two but there were 2 large cushioned benches on the 1st floor that a small child could probably sleep on. I would recommend this property."

"We love The Exumas. The magnificent beaches, great food and friendly people make it a wonderful place to visit. Coconut Cottage is a beautiful home, equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed visiting a new beach everyday, shopping at the local shops including Smitty's and Prime Island Meats, lunch out at the many restaurants, Santana's, Tropical Breeze, Paradise Bay, Big D's, Splash, Chat n' Chill to name some. Most nights were spent on the spacious deck barbequing dinner and enjoying the sunsets.
Norman and Julie ,as hosts, who live in The Cays with their family of dogs, were helpful and informative.
The straw market and the old tree in the centre of town burnt to the ground while we were there but the community is already hard at work to replace it so it will soon rise again and we wish them well in their endeavors.
Joanna was quick to respond to any questions prior to arrival and the booking was simple and uncomplicated.
This is a home, not a vacation rental, and the clock in the kitchen says it all....".Bahamian Time".......Relax, Unwind and Enjoy.
It was a pleasure to visit Coconut Cottage and this island and we thank Joanna and her family for allowing us to share their home.....we hope to return......"
