  • A Beautiful Week In Las Terrenas

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Pachuco in Las Terrenas! It was a perfect place to get away from the sub-zero temperatures and 8 inches of snow back home. We were there for one week and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Paul was an excellent taxi driver and China kept the house looking great. Isabelle was available if we needed anything. The pictures seen here are a few years old (some of the trees are a lot taller now), but the house still looks just as beautiful. The enclosed grounds were very private and wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The gorgeous beach was just a short walk down the road and we almost had the whole beach to ourselves. We chose Villa Pachuco because my wife is in a wheelchair and the house is very spacious and open. She could get around the grounds and the lower level of the house very well, although the door openings to the bathrooms were too narrow for her wheelchair. Also, the sink and shower area in the lower bedroom was a tight fit so she could not reach them (but she could reach the sink in the kitchen). The road to the beach was extremely rough. I was able to push her down it the 200 yards to the beach, but it was a chore. Overall, it was a perfect trip. We would definitely go back again and hopefully take some of our family with us."

  • My family loved it!

"My wife and two small children (age 2 and 4) spent a month at Villa Windsong in August. I wanted to get away for a month to work on writing a book, and needed a place where I could find privacy as well as a place that my family would enjoy as well. Villa Windsong absolutely hit the mark on all counts. It's extremely kid-friendly, having its own beachfront, treehouse, swings, and lots of room for running around. It has a wonderfully equipped TV room/office with AC and wi-fi internet. My wife fell in love with the kitchen, and we all fell in love with the infinity pool. As others have said, the pictures don't do it justice. If you've stayed at other private villas, you'll definitely appreciate the experience here. One note relative to your potential expectation is that the beach itself isn't swimmable for anyone but the strongest swimmers as there is a rock shelf that runs the length of the shore. There are sand and waves for building sand castles and hunting for shells, but you have to keep a very close eye on the kids. It looks beautiful though, and we loved sitting on the chairs by the pool just staring at the view while the kids played in the pool. Our only regret is that we didn't invite more people to come visit us while we were there!"

  • US Golfer/Fishing

"I was fortunate to find this listing and enjoyed several weeks at the property. Every aspect of the stay was great. Clean, Safe, wonderful penthouse with great views and plenty of room and great staff. The fitness center was conveniently located almost directly across from the building, pools, grills, access to all the other amenities at Casa De Campo and more. There was always a nice breeze coming up from the river. In addition, the owner was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to be sure we not only enjoyed the penthouse but also everything else offered at this great resort in the beautiful Dominican Republic including great fishing, golf, entertainment and restaurants."
