"We stayed at Wave Dance Jan14th-Feb 10th 2015.We were a large group and rented both units, 5 adults and 4 children (12,10,5,3). We loved our stay in the DR!! The house was clean and comftorble. Upon arrival we arranged Geoff and Peggy were very helpful with all ( and we had a lot) of questions! They helped us arrange pick up from the airport by Jose, we flew in to Santiago de los Caballeros, if you can avoid flying in to there i would do so!! I was a 1 1/2 hour drive to Cabarete. Puerto Plata is only 30 min away! We arrived at the house late evening and we were greeted by Peggy's assistant to show us around the house to get us settled which was very nice!, Jose also took us in tho Puerto Plata that night to grocery shop so nice!!! We chose to not rent a car while in the DR and it turned out just fine! Jose lent us a phone so we could call him to arrange travel as we needed. He took us on a day trip to the most wonderful beach, and let us stay all day and play!!There was a small grocery store right down the street that was fine for day to day things, and once a week we got a cab in to Puerto Plata. We would walk to town during to day on the beach or the street and it was fine,a little stressful on the street with the kids!! DO NOT walking al night!! I repeat DO NOT WALK AT NIGHT!! The house was very family friendly, all the doors to the pool area lock and the back top deck does not have assess to the ground floor, so we felt safe with the little ones! The house is in a gated comity and all the guars were so nice and friendly! We felt very safe! We we're a large group with lots of different interest so we went our own ways some days but we found a few things that all of us could do together, and all ages could participate! We went almost daily in the early evening to Kaiceitos Circus School, the kids LOVED it!! We took a day trip with Kayak River Adventures and it was one of the highlights of out trip!T hey picked up up in the morning and provided snacks and a dinner cooked by a family over a open fire that was to die for! This was a great adventure for all ages, we had ages from 65 to 3 and they all enjoyed it! These two things we're very affordable:) We all also enjoyed the horse back rides that are right on the beach! Our big splurge was Ocean Wold in Puerto Plata, we took the older kids to swim wit the dolphins and it was worth every penny!!It was a fun place!I think we had the most fun just hanging at the house at the pool and at the beach!WILL BE BACK!"

"Just got back from our 6 day stay and first visit to the DR. Our goal was to get away and relax from the stresses at home and this condo fit the bill. The condo was clean and decorated elegantly with personal touches that make you feel warm and welcome. After a great night's sleep in comfy beds we'd get up to a beautiful ocean view and then open the sliding doors to enjoy coffee and the sound of the waves on the lovely patio. Next, a 3 mile run on the quiet beach and then a full afternoon of sunbathing at the well kept pool which overlooks the ocean. We preferred eating in to going out. Close-by Janet's supermarket made that easy! Fairly late in our stay we discovered El Buen Comer, local place with yummy authentic DR food. We made multiple trips there one afternoon during its limited open hours at lunch time. Our daughters enjoyed the freedom of easily going out on their own to sunbath by the pool with the condo just steps away for the bathroom and grabbing refreshments. This gave my husband and I some time to ourselves to talk and relax. Jacuzzi was also clean and refreshing. You can sit in it and watch the kite surfers ride by. It was an all around nice stay! :)"

"Brian-I am so sorry for not replying sooner. We had an AMAZING time on Kite Beach. Your condo was perfect and met all of our needs with an 18 month old. I got up early every morning and did a 2 mile run to the surfing area and would surf until noon and then run home to meet my husband and daughter for lunch. We loved eating at the Extreme hotel or at Vacabar above Audrey's kite school, Dare2Fly. We had a couple meals in town…but these two spots were great food and so easy to access from the beach. No need for a car for the entire trip! After lunch my husband would begin kiteboarding and my daughter and i would hang in the kiddy pool. The kiddy pool was ideal for her. The staff in the complex were awesome and they were fabulous with our daughter. She quickly learned all their names and practiced her Spanish with all of them. Audrey was a great match for my husbands coaching. He really excelled under her supervision and has progressed well beyond what we had imagined…jumps and all!"

"We stayed here for a week in early January 2015. It was exactly what we needed - right on the beach with a pool and close to a grocery store (Janet's). It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit for the unexpected soda spill on my white shirt. There's also a blender so we were able to make pina coladas. And the tv, while small, was nice for catching up on stateside news. And there is also wifi in the unit. We were able to cook some meals at home but we also went out a few times - Gorditos, Mojito Bar, etc. There's also a colmado right outside the front for any last minute little incidentals that are needed. We thought about going to Monkey Jungle but decided against it after hearing from several folks that it was a very basic zip line and not as good as the one outside of Santo Domingo. Regardless, the beach and surf activities kept us happy. I've already inquired about our next stay!"
