  • Your Casa de Campo home & staff were amazing!

"What a tremendous time we had in your beautiful home. The pictures do not do it justice. Your home is impeccably decorated and the view is simply magnificent. The staff- Rafael, Chabella & Alexandra- absolutely made the vacation. They were kind, gentle, respectful and went above and beyond. Rafael attended to our every need. Chabella- what a chef! We made the mistake of going out to dinner one night- her meals were far better! Alexandra helped me pack the bags last minute for John and Anja-when Anja went to the hospital the last morning with an emergency kidney stone. Please give the staff our best. They made us feel like family, like we had known them forever. We look forward to returning one day soon to your breathtaking estate."

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

"This is the most wonderful place ever! We had a birthday celebration for my husband. We bought 8 couples and every one is still raving over the fantastic estate. The rooms are wonderful, the staff superb and the food delicious. Nothing was missing. The location was gorgeous looking out into the ocean watching the ships and the sea while the staff took care of our every need. The chef consulted with us about meals, which were wonderful and varied.. Try his chicken!! The rooms were cleaned twice a day and were immaculate. Anything you wanted was supplied. We all want to come back and are making plans to do so. We recommend this villa to everyone. SUPERB"

  • Family Vacation

"We used this house for a family weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The house is fully equipped and great for big groups with kids. Has a beautiful backyard with plenty of space for the kids to have fun. The personnel at the house are also very nice and helpful. We are definitely considering using this house again since we all enjoyed it very much."

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"We've been visiting Casa De Campo several times a year for the last 15 years. We've stayed in Villas and we've stayed in the hotel (both pre and post renovation). Without a doubt, our last stay was our favorite and that's because we stayed at this property. Kathleen made sure everything was perfect prior to our arrival. The house is obviously over-the-top beautiful and luxurious. But it's the staff that made the trip. Kathleen really got the staff right at this house. The Chef is amazing, the service was top notch, and everything was sparkling clean. If you are looking for a place to REALLY relax, you've found it!!"

La Romana Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit La Romana Vacation Rentals

La Romana is a city near the southern shores of the Dominican Republic. Located in the Caribbean, La Romana has a year-round warm tropical climate. Summers are hot with occasional rain showers. Towards the end of the season, tropical storms do occur from time to time. The winter months are a little less humid but the days are still hot and the nights balmy. La Romana is a great year-round vacation destination.

La Romana Travel Tips

La Romana has its own international airport which hosts airlines from North and South America as well as Europe. The state-of-the-art facility is the island’s newest airport and there are daily scheduled arrivals and departures from most major hubs in the U.S. and Canada as well as from Europe. The airport is a short drive from most resorts, hotels and vacation villas in the area. This makes it a convenient point of entry into the Dominican Republic. Two alternate international airports are Santa Domingo and Punta Cana which are both about and hour away by car. Once on the island, you can rent a car to get around or make use of the local taxi service.

Enjoy the Relaxed Vibe at La Romana

Many of the rental villas in La Romana are spacious enough to accommodate a large family or group of friends. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, expansive living areas and beautifully manicured gardens will make you feel right at home. Golfers may want to stay in one of the many rental homes available on the world-renowned golf courses. Enjoy stunning ocean views from the pool deck and be a short drive away from the clubhouse to tee off for an early morning game. Most villas are luxuriously furnished. Many have climate controlled air conditioning and top-rate entertainment centers, so you can spend a lazy day or two in your rental home and enjoy the good life.

Attractions and Things to Do near La Romana Villas

La Romana is part of a popular tourist area which also includes the towns and beaches of Dominicus, Casa de Campo and Bayahibe. The Dominicus beach was the first in the Caribbean to receive the prestigious European blue flag status. This was largely thanks to the some of the premiere resorts in the area that took the initiative to ensure that the beach was maintained according to environmentally sound practices. This includes ensuring that sand and water pollution are minimized so that the pristine quality of the oceanfront can be preserved for future generations. Enjoy relaxing on this immaculate beach and watch the waves gently lap on the shoreline.

Bayahibe is yet another spectacular beach worth visiting. The quaint fishing town offers day excursions to the nearby island of Saona. Saona is a largely undeveloped palm fringed islet that has stunning beaches and lush tropical foliage. There is a small fishing village at Mano Juan where you can purchase handicrafts and souvenirs of your visit. There are many charter options to Saona. You can arrange a private yacht to cruise in luxury, join fishing or snorkeling charters, or bargain with the local fishermen in Bayahibe for a more traditional experience.

The Altos de Chavon Artists Village near La Romana is a fascinating place to visit. It’s characterized by cobbled stone paths, terra cotta houses, and beautiful coral stone fountains. The quaint town is filled with galleries, artists' studios and craft workshops. Take a leisurely stroll through the streets, chat to the artists and seek out that perfect piece of art for your home. The village also has some excellent restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal of local fare.
