  • HEAVEN ON EARTH!!

"I have never written a review before but I feel people need to know about your place. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door all our expectations were met and then some. Your staff is brilliant and is so attentive to every detail. The drinks and food were beyond amazing. They definitely aim to please! The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the amount of space in each room is really nice. I slept better than I have in years. The beds are fantastic and it's so wonderful to hear the ocean while lying in bed. We went golfing at Teeth Of the Dog while there, which was stunning and I loved that the course is just minutes away from your place. My favourite part? Watching the sunset and having dinner/drinks overlooking the water. Every day the sunset was spectacular. The hot tub and pool were also a hit! Nothing better than having a martini while sitting in the hottub! There is not one negative thing I can say about your place other than we only stayed for 5 days there! NEXT time we will plan to stay for longer. I want to thank you again for offering us a piece of paradise. It truly was beautiful in every sense. Please also send our best to your staff there. They do a superb job! Until next time! L & M Murray"

  • Amazing

"We just spent 6 days in this villa at Casa De Campo and I cannot imagine a better place to stay. The owner was extremely helpful in setting up our trip providing a lot of helpful information and giving us contacts to arrange our transportation and activities. The staff at the house was great! The cook (Maria) made fantastic meals for us so I would recommend eating in a lot. She even went to the grocery store for us! Dominique, the property manager was also extremely helpful with all of our activities and transportation. This is a 5 star operation!"

  • Wonderful Week

"We had a a lovely time at this villa. It has a great location - near the beach, the marina and golf, but is in a very quiet location. Maritza and Nunez couldn't have been more helpful and the food was very delicious. It worked out perfectly for the three generations of our family; and our 4 year old granddaughter learned to swim."

La Romana Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit La Romana Vacation Rentals

La Romana is a city near the southern shores of the Dominican Republic. Located in the Caribbean, La Romana has a year-round warm tropical climate. Summers are hot with occasional rain showers. Towards the end of the season, tropical storms do occur from time to time. The winter months are a little less humid but the days are still hot and the nights balmy. La Romana is a great year-round vacation destination.

La Romana Travel Tips

La Romana has its own international airport which hosts airlines from North and South America as well as Europe. The state-of-the-art facility is the island’s newest airport and there are daily scheduled arrivals and departures from most major hubs in the U.S. and Canada as well as from Europe. The airport is a short drive from most resorts, hotels and vacation villas in the area. This makes it a convenient point of entry into the Dominican Republic. Two alternate international airports are Santa Domingo and Punta Cana which are both about and hour away by car. Once on the island, you can rent a car to get around or make use of the local taxi service.

Enjoy the Relaxed Vibe at La Romana

Many of the rental villas in La Romana are spacious enough to accommodate a large family or group of friends. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, expansive living areas and beautifully manicured gardens will make you feel right at home. Golfers may want to stay in one of the many rental homes available on the world-renowned golf courses. Enjoy stunning ocean views from the pool deck and be a short drive away from the clubhouse to tee off for an early morning game. Most villas are luxuriously furnished. Many have climate controlled air conditioning and top-rate entertainment centers, so you can spend a lazy day or two in your rental home and enjoy the good life.

Attractions and Things to Do near La Romana Villas

La Romana is part of a popular tourist area which also includes the towns and beaches of Dominicus, Casa de Campo and Bayahibe. The Dominicus beach was the first in the Caribbean to receive the prestigious European blue flag status. This was largely thanks to the some of the premiere resorts in the area that took the initiative to ensure that the beach was maintained according to environmentally sound practices. This includes ensuring that sand and water pollution are minimized so that the pristine quality of the oceanfront can be preserved for future generations. Enjoy relaxing on this immaculate beach and watch the waves gently lap on the shoreline.

Bayahibe is yet another spectacular beach worth visiting. The quaint fishing town offers day excursions to the nearby island of Saona. Saona is a largely undeveloped palm fringed islet that has stunning beaches and lush tropical foliage. There is a small fishing village at Mano Juan where you can purchase handicrafts and souvenirs of your visit. There are many charter options to Saona. You can arrange a private yacht to cruise in luxury, join fishing or snorkeling charters, or bargain with the local fishermen in Bayahibe for a more traditional experience.

The Altos de Chavon Artists Village near La Romana is a fascinating place to visit. It’s characterized by cobbled stone paths, terra cotta houses, and beautiful coral stone fountains. The quaint town is filled with galleries, artists' studios and craft workshops. Take a leisurely stroll through the streets, chat to the artists and seek out that perfect piece of art for your home. The village also has some excellent restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal of local fare.
