"We had a great stay at the villa. It was beautifully designed and decorated. The location was also very convenient, very close to the beach, just 5-7 min walk. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed at the Casa De Campo a few times before, at much larger villas, but this villa was just perfect size for our family, very spacious and cozy at the same time. We will gladly return back and recommencement the villa to our friends."

  • Wonderful stay!

"We had such a great time staying there (2 weeks)! The place is very clean (Danni the caretaker cleans the place twice a week), very spacious, a good air flow, and very safe. The kitchen is well equipped, linens and beach towels. Beautiful garden, small swimming pool and gazebo at the back. The apartment is attached to the main house yet very private. Costambar is a very quiet gated community, very few traffic, so the area is pleasant to walk around without pollution or traffic noise. Beach is walking distance,10 min, so are the restaurants, 5 min, not a whole lot of choices but "Sole mio" was our favorite! Getting outside Costambar you can take a motoconcho to the main road C5 or walk, and from there take a guagua (local bus) for a few pesos. 45 min to Sosua , 1 hour to Cabarete, it is worth it and gives you a real local experience! But more importantly Yash and Hemu are the nicest hosts you can have, extremely helpful and friendly, any questions you can have, feel free to ask. They truly made our stay very special, we enjoyed sharing conversations with them. They are around minding their own life, yet available if you need need anything without being intrusive. They do care that you are having a good time and that you are not missing anything. We had a few rainy days, actually torrential rains and Yash came to check if we needed anything or needed to go anywhere. On several occasions Yash drove us to the main supermarket in Puerto Plata and the currency exchange for best rate. This is a place for a peaceful and relaxing stay, and we highly recommend this apartment. We were sad leaving and of course cannot wait to be back!"

  • Great experience!!

"The house, staff, amenities and facilities are just as advertised. The house is easy to get to and is very clean. Marta (the cook/cleaning lady) was very helpful and friendly. You need to bring your own food and drinks to the house in order for her to prepare what you need, and if she doesn't know how to cook it, she's very willing to learn. We had some blackouts, but the inverter they have in the house makes all electric appliances keep working, so you don't even feel it. Water heater worked well. There are good restaurants just a few miles close to the house, as well as small convenience stores for stuff you forget to bring. The pool is very clean and has good temperature. The beach also has a nice feel to it, but the beginning of it is really rocky, so water slippers are recommended. There's plenty of space for big groups to spread in the house and around the property. We were a party of 11 (including children) and everyone felt comfortable and had a blast. The house has cable and it has many channels available, however, most of them are in Spanish. The house has wifi, but it can get slow if two or more computers try to connect at the same time. The owner was always very responsive to our questions before, during and after the trip, very friendly and reliable. Electricity is paid separate from the cost of the house and depends on how much you spend during your stay (we spent about US$ 50 for 3 nights and 4 days). I would recommend this place 100%!"
