  • Dream vacation

"Five friends and I went to Casa De Campo for a wedding. We were two couples and two singles, so this four bedroom villa was perfect! We were greeted by Luce, Mary, and Jose who would be the staff for our stay. They were so helpful, and although there was a slight language barrier, they did everything to help. We set up ahead of time the plan for them to prepare dinner for our first night. There was a mixup in that we asked for fish tacos, and got beef tacos, but it was still great. It was very convienent not having to go to the store when we got there, and they didn't add a surcharge, just their taxi fee to get the groceries. We ended up having them prepare breakfast every morning for us which was about $10/day per person (Not bad!!). Breakfast was always pancakes, eggs (different styles) bacon, toast, fresh fruit, and even fun things like mashed plantains. The staff was generally there half the day, cleaning rooms and bathrooms before leaving. They were there when we wanted but appropriately stayed out of the way. We loved getting to know them! The four bedrooms were perfect for our group. There are a half dozen sitting places inside, which we took advantage of for drinks and chips & guac before our nightly wedding party adventures. Everything in Casa De Campo is a simple golf cart ride away. Make sure you have enough carts so that each couple has one (one cart seats four, though). My only 2 complaints -- the neighbors trash can smell crept on to our pool area in the afternoon. I also noticed a dog barking two of the five days we were there."

  • Extremely lovely and comfortable villa

"We stayed this past x-mas, and it was a great experience. The villa is comfortable, private and beautiful. The cook, Eva, speaks English and is incredibly helpful and a great cook; she made several dinners for us as well as a dinner party for us and guests, and many delicious breakfasts and lunches. The other staff (maid and gardener) are kind and helpful, and because Eva is fluent in English and there every day with you, you are easily able to communicate your needs to the staff. The gardener was helpful with the golf carts (when they ran out of gas or had other mechanical problems) and the maid did the laundry every day. The villa is close to the beach and the main hotel. The owners are lovely, kind, and very easy to deal with; they were helpful with our dinner reservations, airport transfers, grocery shopping in advance of our arrival, and golf tee times. All in all, it was a super vacation at a beautiful home and we'd be happy to go back."

  • Cabarete March 2014

"This was our second trip to Cabarete the first being in December 2013 where we rented a very nice villa a little further down the beach. As it turns out the very nice villa down the beach is not in the same league as Casa Bonita and I would argue not even the same sport. This villa is fantastic every little detail has been thought of (at least everything we could think of) The owner is very responsive to any enquiry and Marie the maid is great. Thanks for a great week out of the snow Joe, we will be back."

  • Beautiful Home in one of the best locations

"The house is immaculate and the view is even more beautiful than the pictures on VRBO!! My extended family of 12, kids and adults, stayed here the week after Christmas and escaped the freezing cold in Chicago. There was something for everyone. We went snorkeling, golfing, horseback riding, saw a polo match, walked around Chabon and the Marina (both on the resort and accessible by golf cart), took a boat ride to nearby Catalina Island and of course spent some time on Minitas Beach. In spite of our activity, the house was so beautiful, we could have enjoyed ourselves without ever leaving. Rafael, Chabella and Alexandra are awesome and helped us with anything we needed. We went out to eat on two evenings and my family said that they enjoyed Chabella's cooking better than the restaurants. After dinner, we heard about Cinco Gelato (locally made gelato that's oh so fresh) located just outside the resort in La Romana. It's to die for! I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed!"
