  • Best vacation stay, we will come back every year!

"Starting several months before our trip i was in contact with the owner Leslie, she made it so easy to make arrangements for our trip and also very helpfull suggestions. The next step was being in contact with the property managers in Las Terrenas, Noemi and Alex, both of whom were very helpfull. upon arrival Alex met us at the house and gave us a quick tour, the house and property are BEAUTIFUL, lots of open air and space, nice and clean and comfortable, we attribute this in large part to the housekeeper Marisol, who is AWESOME, so nice and friendly, she went above and beyond by helping rearrange a bed and mosquito net for one of us so that we could sleep better, totally made her trip better! thank you Marisol.. The area around the house is also spectacular, just a short walk out the front gate and you are on the beach! clear blue water, palms and white sand. most all of the good restaurants, activities, bars and shops are within walking distance, there is also a taxi stand close by if you wish. the closest restaurants to the house are the hotel Alisei, which also has spa facilities and a pool. as you walk down the beach road you get to more restaurants, we loved the one love surf shack, tres lunas, and el pescadroes, which had the best most friendly staff and yummy and inexpensive food. a short walk past this area and you are in the main town, there are many souvenier shops, art galleries and bars, there is a good sized grocery store, even a french bakery with the best croisants this side of Paris!, lots to see and do. i must add that the people of Las Terrenas are THE BEST! they are the most friendly and helpful i have met in some parts of the world. If you have extra time, i would recomend going to Samana, there is not alot to do there, but it is beautiful, only a short drive from LT. i know this is alot of info, but it truely is a magical place, and staying at La Paloma added to the joy....We will for sure be back in years to come, we are already planning next years trip."

  • Spring Break-Family Style

"We brought our son and his friends for their Senior Year Spring Break. The whole fantastic vacation experience started with the caretaker Benny picking us up at the airport. We immediately felt at home with him. Walking into the condo was breath taking--we knew immediately this is where we wanted to be! The condo was spacious and beautifully decorated. The huge balcony looked over the pool and ocean with plenty of relaxing seating of all of us and an outdoor dining table (Benny even made us a great meal one evening). Benny was a fantastic "guide"--He became part of our family and we really enjoyed the time we spent with him!! Every morning we walked the beach to our favorite breakfast spot and spent our days on excursions or relaxing on the beautiful beaches. The teenagers had plenty to do and there was not the "Spring Break Chaos". Dinner, cocktails and dancing on the beach every evening......I highly recommend trying the Langastinos ala Papi at Papi's--I still dream of this dinner and will definitely be eating there again on our next visit. The whole vacation was perfection from start to finish. Cindy was great to work with....we have a new home away from home....and we have a new Dominican friend to boot! Highly recommend this condo! We will be going back again soon!!!"

  • The BEST choice for fun and relaxation in Punta Cana

"Without a doubt, renting Rebecca's condo was the best decision we made. We immediately felt at home, with all the amenities, space and cleanliness you would expect. The beds were extremely comfortable, plus plenty of hot water, towels, even the TV had New York stations. The kitchen lacked for nothing, and the grill out back worked perfectly and is nicer than the one I have at home. I loved that the pool was so close to our back door! And the pools stay open until 9PM, which allowed us to swim under the full moon, truly a memorable experience. Most resorts close their pools by 6pm, so we felt lucky. The ocean is a short stroll down a beautifully tended path. There are always gardeners about making things perfect. The ocean-front pergola has plenty of shade and chairs, security is there 24/7 and always offered a friendly "Hola!". Everyday we were able to snag two loungers with pads under a group of palms that offered the perfect amount of shade. The sand never gets hot, and the breeze is gentle and cool. Sitting there, with a cold Presidente, looking out over the clear turquoise water was a dream come true. The definition of relaxation. It was clear when we took our beach walks that we hit the jackpot with this condo. Not only was the beach nicer, cleaner and quieter, but there were no vendors hassling us. If one came up, security made himself known. If we wanted to buy, it was fine, but if we weren't interested, security just waved him on. We saw all manner of high-pressure sales on our walks, and were so happy to return to Playa Turquesa for peace and quiet. We spent many hours laying under the swaying palms and watching the ocean. The ocean was calm and warm - and we enjoyed swimming. When we were hungry and didn't want to move very far, there is food service right at the pergola. Citrus restaurant, in plaza turquesa, serves their full menu ocean-side. They have a staff member right there to take your order, so we enjoyed wraps and burgers in our swimsuits - then went right back to doing nothing. On arrival we were met by Gayla, who was waiting for us even though our flight had been delayed. What a sweetheart she is, showing us around, giving us tips, she even cracked open a 4 month old bottle of homemade mamajuana intended for someone else. She got us water, and basically made us feel welcome and comfortable. Job well done! Can't say enough good things about the people & location - but this condo was the highlight. We didn't want to leave."

  • Private beach, beautiful pool, well kept property, excellent location; and NOT an all-inclusive:-)!!

"We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of lodging during our stay in Punta Cana, and believe me; I walked 4 miles and back in each direction so I saw some of the other options. The beach is one crowded all-inclusive after another! Stanza Mare's private, beautifully maintained, virtually empty beach always had several thatched umbrella covered lounge chairs available. The beach is guarded, so you can leave towels and other items behind if you get up for a walk (although common sense would suggest not leaving valuables). Don't leave your sandles though.... Those stay at the end of the sidewalk ;-). Our unit was exactly as promised and was truly our home away from home during our stay. In fact as soon as we opened the door for a look inside we said in unison "I could live here" :-)! Sure it wasn't perfect. Several of the doors didn't work properly for one reason or another, nor did the lights above the stove, but who in their right mind would expect a rental property to be perfect! The location was ideal. Food and shopping are a walk away; the mall and grocery store are a 30 peso bus ride away. We're the type of travelers who like to explore rather than just sit around, so we didn't need Yves (the local prop mgr) for much, but we knew if we did he'd be there. We know because the first night I locked our valuables in the safe and couldn't get it back open! Yves came by the very next morning to save the day. That was enough for me to forgive him for not picking us up at the airport as promised...:(. We're not clear on why he couldn't get there at the scheduled time, but started our trip in a mini panic when no one was at the airport to greet us. After waiting over an hour we utilized another transport service to get to Stanza Mare. Although we loved the property and its location, we were disappointed in the area in general. With the vast number of all-inclusives there are hardly any dining and drinking options along the beach. We needed something other than a (gorgeous!) beach and a (gorgeous!) pool to occupy our time. We explored some by local bus, and rented a car for 2 days for a drive to La Romana to see a baseball game. We golfed at Iberostar and got a very decent rate by stating we were staying at Stanza Mare. We also did a "Punta Cana Mike" tour which was an excellent way to get outside the property walls and experience DR culture and its people up close and personal. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!"
