"I stayed at Vivero 51 with my husband and my two adult children with their spouses and our 7 month old grandson. It was by far the most wonderful, relaxing vacation I ever had. From the moment we arrived the staff was terrific. The house was so comfortable and we really enjoyed all of the outdoor space as well. Great pool and Jacuzzi, and my son and son in law loved the fact that there was a basketball hoop! Fernando had purchased a full size crib for my grandson to sleep in and there is also a high chair so he was set! Kandy came daily to ask us what we wanted for lunch and dinner and then found the freshest fish around. Lobster, shrimp, dorado as well as delicious chicken and steak. My kids wanted Mexican one night and they said it was amazing. Oscar, Alicia and Christian pampered us all week with their attentive care. We loved the grounds of Casa de campo going to the beach, hotel spa and Altos de Chavron. Can't wait to return!!!"

  • Absolutely Incredible!

"I can truly say that this property, from the initial contact with Frank down the check-out is one of kind. Frank, the owner displays this property accurately and there were no hidden surprises. His responses are timely and even checks on you throughout the stay to ensure that you are enjoying yourselves. The staff; security, maintenance, and maid service are readily available and as friendly as it gets. The WiFi worked great and the property was very clean. The six of us, all in the service industry, travel frequently and would recommend Villa Flamingo and Cabarete to anyone. I read a lot of reviews (not on Villa Flamingo) about Cabarete and surrounding areas being unsafe. We rented a car and traveled to a couple random beaches in San Juan as well as Sosua and not once did we feel unsafe. These little cities/towns are beautiful destinations with a culture one should experience. In terms of tours, we did the waterfalls and atvs. You can do a tour of 7, 12, or 27 waterfalls. We decided to go with 12 and paid an additional $40US to have a tour guide video our experience (well worth the money with a USB provided after). The tour took about three hours with lunch after and a bottle a rum was provided on our trip there. We did a private tour and it cost us about $70US/person. You can negotiate the price, but if you don't then I would suggest using Frank's recommended guide Jose. The ATV tour is located about 100 yards down the street from Villa Flamingo. Again, we weren't the best negotiators and paid about $60/person for a four hour tour. The tour goes on the main street, through a few small towns, up into the farms, and ended on the beach. First time on an atv, don't be alarmed, the guides are helpful and this tour is definitely well worth it. In terms of Cabarete, this town has about twenty little bars and restaurants located on the beach. Spend some time enjoying happy hour and dinner. Lazydog has some of the best fish tacos and Gaia Disco gets pretty busy late at night. They do try and sell you things during happy hour but just kindly say, "no thank you." Be respectful, enjoy the culture, and relax at Villa Flamingo and I can assure you that you won't regret it. Thanks again Frank and staff, From the now snowed in New England crew!"

  • Villa Celeste

"Our first trip to the Dominican Republic was one I will never forget. Villa Celeste was amazing!! The location was perfect as we spent many hours down at the beach. Only a short walk to surf school, which had a fun little tiki bar. You have Cabarete, which is an area of bars and restaurants on the beach. That was so unique and fun for all of us. We went to 27 falls, which was a blast and also went on a kayak tour. There is so much do to in Puerta Plata, yet you cherish the times you have at the home with the pool and ocean. Mary will cook the most amazing dominican meals."

  • Perfect Location

"This was our first trip to Dominican Republic. We wanted a place on the ocean within walking distance or short cab drive to stores and restaurants. The condo fit the bill and was perfect for the 4 adults in our party. We could hear the sounds of the ocean from the bedroom and living room. Very calming. We enjoyed our own private beach and pool as well as walking along the water to the Caberte Beach area. You can walk or take a cab- we did both. We enjoyed every minute of our week long stay."
