  • Cabarete March 2014

"This was our second trip to Cabarete the first being in December 2013 where we rented a very nice villa a little further down the beach. As it turns out the very nice villa down the beach is not in the same league as Casa Bonita and I would argue not even the same sport. This villa is fantastic every little detail has been thought of (at least everything we could think of) The owner is very responsive to any enquiry and Marie the maid is great. Thanks for a great week out of the snow Joe, we will be back."

  • 7 wonderful days with our friends

"Wow! I am so happy with my choice to stay in this villa. I arranged a 7 day trip for my wife and I with two other couples. I was nervous prior to our arrival hoping that it would meet our expectations and not be a disappointment. We rented a van and drove to Casa de Campo, it was an easy 45 minute drive on a 4 lane highway. Check in was easy and quick. We were met by Anna when we arrived at the villa; I cannot praise her enough for how wonderful a person she is and how professional she is at her job. The villa is exactly as presented, it is paradise! The bedrooms have air conditioning that made the nights very comfortable, even in June. The remainder of the home is open air and has a very tropical feel. Ceiling fans create a breeze and it is always comfortable. The mornings begin with Anna serving breakfast either poolside or at the dining table; fresh fruit cut up with eggs, toast or muffins, coffee, and juice. Anna will make you whatever you want and you won't be disappointed. The mango and papaya were in season and were the best any of us had ever eaten. A trip to the beach-5 minute stroll or a short golf cart ride- was always a delight. Anna would have lunch prepared on our return, again whatever you want and you won't be disappointed. She also prepared us a few dinners and would leave them for us on the stove. Highlights were the red beans and rice, black bean soup, fried chicken, fresh fish, and pumpkin soup. Johnny was a great asset. He accompanied us to La Romana to buy fresh fish, took us to a great shop to buy gifts, and shopped for groceries with us at "Jumbo". He works hard maintaining the pool, and gardens. It is paradise.... Casa de Campo was beyond our expectations. It is first class in every way. Do not miss Alto De Chavon at sunrise and sunset, it is spectacular. Lots of fun can be had at the hotel pool and bar. The marina has a great grocery and some very good restaurants. The golf is world class with some of the most spectacular holes I have ever played. This was a trip that made us all hate to leave and we are already talking about a return trip."

  • Villa Leone was Truly Exceptional

"Our family loved Villa Leone. The house was spectacular set directly on the beach. We spent almost every morning enjoying the grounds and the pool. At night the hot tub was awesome and we always felt well taken care of by the staff and owner. We would return in a heartbeat."

  • First Class Vacation, Incredible Caribbean Villa !

"I would have to say the house (Villa California) was great, very well stocked, private and peaceful, heard the waves through out the night, very well maintained, beautiful gardens, private pool was kept pristine, great staff, owner was very easy to work with, they set us up with airport VIP Service, well worth the cost ($20.) The owner gave us a list of local vendors for site seeing and car rental, every one on the list offered a discount for Villa California Clients, we went snorkeling (very cool), checked out the Kite Surfers (maybe next time) we drove to Playa Grande Golf (wow, incredible golf course). The villa was in a great location, really enjoyed some of the private beaches along the road to Cabarete, so many awesome restaurants, a lot of different cultures with great food. I would give the vacation 5 out of 5 stars, everything was great, the local people were nice, we would love to come back and stay here again. We spent evenings on the balcony listening to the waves, a short walk in to town for a morning espresso and bakery goods. Our group had 6 people and this house was very comfortable, each bedroom has its own private bathroom (very nice), house keeping was nice, Franziska was great. I could go on for a while, bottom line, Villa California exceeded our expectations and the staff made our vacation fabulous !!"
