  • An amazing time in Casa de Campo

"I have traveled to the Dominican Republic many times and have to say this is one of the best times I have had. The villa is amazing, very tropical with lots of outdoor space allowing a nice breeze throughout the house. The bedrooms had air conditioning and hot water, which was very important for us. Annie, the owner, was extremely pleasant and great to deal with. Always answering e-mails and phone calls during the booking process. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Not only great people, but just top notch service. They were so accommodating, warm and friendly that they felt like family. The meals were absolutely amazing. We had made from scratch ropa vieja, a real Dominican breakfast every morning with fresh juices and the BEST desserts ever! Homemade oreo cheesecake and coconut flan. Yum!!! Overall I would highly recommend staying at Annie's villa. A memorable experience in every way!"

  • Can't wait to return

"This was our fourth trip to D.R. and this property was just as advertised. Security staff were efficient and friendly. Easy and safe access to downtown area for groceries, restaurants an pubs. The only negative issue which seems to be ongoing was lack of hot water. Owner was responsive but heater needs to be replaced. Recommend this property and will stay there again."

  • Caribbean Getaway

"Although we’ve visited Casa de Campo many times, this is the first time we have rented a private villa of Los Altos, part of the Casa de Campo Village. The grounds are beautiful, tranquil and well kept. Los Altos is located a 5 minute walk to Altos de Chavon & complete with its own security-the village overall is quite safe. The 3-bedroom penthouse was as advertised and more, clean, contemporary. The upper level is equipped with a large master bedroom & sitting area, terrace and en suite bathroom as well as a second bedroom with terrace & ensuite bathroom. On the lower level, you have a large kitchen fully equipped, dining area with a side balcony and living room with walk out to main terrace as well as the third bedroom with balcony. Separate bathroom on this level. The main terrace overlooks the 17th hole of the Dye Fore Golf course; excellent for outdoor dining with wonderful tropical breezes day & night. We enjoyed early morning coffee & watching the sun come up & sunset cocktails! The penthouse offers domestic help 7 days a week and Dominga is a true professional. She also provided some grocery shopping for us at the Local Jumbo. Wi-fi internet worked perfectly. Each building complex has its own large pool & Jacuzzis with a shaded terrace BBQ dining area. The Weber BBQ set-up is cleaned daily. The complex also has a gym. Bike rentals are also available, but my wife enjoyed late afternoon walks in the village. There is enough variety of Restaurants within the Casa de Campo complex, should you not want to dine in. Choices include restaurants in Altos de Chavon, La Marina, Minita Beach, Lago Grill, La Cana &Teeth of Dog ninth hole. Recommended to phone ahead first as times restaurants are closed due to private functions. The Marina area has its own supermarket, perfect for stocking up during the week (on 2nd floor the market has a great wine selection). The local Jumbo store in La Romana (10 minutes drive). As the complex is within 7,000 acres, getting around requires a car or a cart. English is spoken in the Hotel area and Condo Owners Club, elsewhere we had fun practising my Spanish & everyone is so helpful. The activities: best golf in the Caribbean, bring extra golf balls!!, fabulous bill fishing, tennis, watersports, horseback riding, skeet shooting, Polo & Resort Spa. On weekends we enjoyed spending our days at the Minita beach (15 min drive). Would look forward to returning & planning on it next year same time. Kathy & Dennis"

  • Perfect little oasis in beautiful Punta Cana

"Loved this spacious condo overlooking the well kept pool and grounds. James , the president, is in charge and keeps everyone's problems solved and is very nice to the staff and guests. He even organized a couple parties to make sure everyone got to know everyone. Trip to Glady's was special and the Chinese food that he brought in was a special touch. Everything worked at the condo, no problems with anything ,such as barbecue, gas stove and the waterworks. we kept our back door open in daytime with a beautiful breeze blowing through. It was a perfect walk to Palma Rael for groceries then back on the bus which is easy and fun to take along with tourists and the beautiful locals ,who always tried to practice their English as I practiced my Spanish. Thanks Mariana. you were great and efficient to deal with. love from your Nova Scotia people"
