  • Can't beat this view!

"This is a well equipped 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The pool is great for a relaxing swim or for lap swimming. But an outstanding feature is the upstairs patio. What a great place to enjoy meals and view the ocean and watch for the green flash at sundown! It is in a scenic placid area just a short drive to the conveniences of town. Great dive and snorkeling sites are nearby."

  • Great Vacation Value

"We have been to the Exumas a dozen times. We believe Hideaway at Palm Bay is the best value on the island. This VRBO is the best value at Palm Bay. (By best value I mean its not the Ritz but it is very, very nice for the price.) The owner is very friendly and knowlegeable about the island. Nice guy to rent from. Villa fronts to the beach and is close to pool and restaurant. The beach is okay (good for fishing and boating). There is a beautiful beach (Jolly Hall) a few hundred yards away. Several restaurants in walking distance. Rent a boat from Minns to tour the harbor. Bring snorkel gear."

  • Enter as strangers, leave as friends

"Everything that people have written about Oyster Point is true: Breathtaking and idyllic location, close to restaurants, beaches, and a marketplace, a private and fully stocked cottage filled with essentials. Although necessary and important, these components are not what make Oyster Point remarkable. The element that makes Oyster Point so special is our Hosts: Dorothy, Brian, their family and of course, Abbie and Zooey. My husband and I had an unplanned extension to our vacation, as tropical storm Fay hit the island. Brian and Dorothy couldn't have been more accommodating to us. We were treated like family friends. I'm still a bit stunned how warm, kind and welcoming they were to us. You may notice when staying at Oyster Point the framed print on the wall stating: 'Enter as strangers, leave as friends'. Perhaps that saying may be trite elsewhere, but at Oyster Point, the statement is fact. Thank you, we will be back!"

  • Paradise by the Playa!

"We just got back from a fantastic stay at Villa Leone and the trip was amazing. There were 8 adults and two toddlers and there was plenty to do for everyone. We are still tanned, happy and already longing to go back. The house itself is nice, clean and spacious. We had all the comforts of home including a good kitchen, nice bathrooms and good wifi. The staff was great and very attentive. The home is great for adults but also kid friendly. There is a gated back patio preventing small children from wandering into the pool area or onto the beach. This was key for us to be able to relax. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are all comfortable. The two master suites on the second floor have great views and are really nice. The master suite on the third floor has that and more... a gazeebo with panoramic views. Amazing! The house opens right up to the beach which was never crowded or busy. The surf is high at this part of the coast and there is a nearly constant breeze. This means we never got too hot out in the sun. The wind dies down in the evenings which makes eating outside very pleasurable. The nearby town of Cabarete, 5 mins drive away from the house, offers fantastic dining and shopping. There is also a decent supermarket that has most everything you want or need. However if you really want to go to grocery store that has everything we are used to finding at home then a simple 10-15 min drive west will take you to a SuperPola that is like the equivalent of Whole Foods in the DR. Definitely hire the chef the villa offers. Catalino made us great food using local ingredients and local recipes as well. We were so pleased! The owner, Frank, was very quick to respond to any questions and his recommendations were great. He is organized and professional. Close to the airport, close to town and a reasonable drive to other attractions. THIS is the place you want to stay. The Marcus family vacation was a hit. Thanks Frank!"
