"I would recommend this condo to everyone!! It's clean with a great view and stocked with everything you would need. It's a home away from home. Thank you Donavon for being so helpful. Will be using your place every time I travel to the Virgin Islands."

  • Very Relaxing

"We recently returned from a week at this wonderful place and agreed that it was one of the most relaxing vacations yet. It truly is a place to sit back, relax and enjoy the simple life. The house is situated in a perfect location - a 5 min. drive to a wonderful bakery and market, close to everything but very peaceful and quiet. It is true that due to the size of the island, you are close to everything but unlike some other islands driving around here is pleasant with lovely views and gardens. We had our kids aged 9-12 with us and the entire island was safe, clean and breathtakingly beautiful. At night when you sit outside on the terrace you can hear the waves and watch the stars. The house has a lovely view of the sea. I agree with the previous review that the beach at the end on the driveway is warm, calm and good for snorkeling (We saw beautiful fish and turtles) but not really a beach to lay on. Also, the driveway (as most of the driveways seem to be) is quite steep - we needed it to work off the fabulous breads, pastries etc. Our favorite beach was Saline, where the kids never tired of the waves. There are beach chairs and a cooler that you can use which is great. The house is charming and has everything you need. A minor inconvenience was the lack of a washing machine for towels as we found that between the beach, pool and showers we were using a lot. A very pleasant lady came to clean in the mornings and replaced the towels a few times. The air conditioning and WIFI worked very well and it was very comfortable. The terrace and pool area were huge hits with the kids and very private. The pool was very clean and well cared for. I do think that the house may look slightly older than the photos suggest but we loved it. There are many newly built properties but this house is so comfortable and welcoming that we doubt we would have liked any one better. Matthew was wonderful to us and having met us at the Ferry, took us to the Airport to wait almost 2 hours for delayed bags that we were assured by Jet Blue would turn up at some point. He was never intrusive but we had his cell number and knew where to find him if we needed anything, which we didn't. Francois, the owner was extremely easy to deal with, helpful and willing to quickly answer any questions we had before the trip. The island of St. Barth was so much more than we expected with helpful, friendly people, beautiful breezes and incredible beaches. We hope to return one day soon."

  • Simply Stunning

"My family and I just spent a week in this house and found it to be perfect in every way. The pictures on this site, although beautiful, do not do the house justice. The layout of the home really accentuates its beautiful waterfront location, and I can honestly say that we spent more time in the outdoor living area than we did "inside." Sitting by the infinity pool and enjoying a cool drink while watching and listening to the waves crash against the rocky shore became my favorite activity and made it very difficult to leave the house and go anywhere else on the island. Snorkeling right off the deck was also pretty amazing and the large variety of coral I saw just offshore eclipsed most of the other snorkeling spots I visited during my stay. I have visited Curacao many times and stayed in houses all over the island including Coral Estates, Jan Sofat, and Piscadera Bay. However, I must say that this was by far my favorite location. My kids loved being able to walk down to the bustling Jan Thiel beach, and we enjoyed several meals at the many beach restaurants nearby. Of course, this was also the most expensive area we had stayed in, but it was worth every penny. In short, I would recommend this house to anyone but feel compelled to warn you that, after spending a few days there, you will never ever want to leave. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Awesome Place!

"My husband and I chose Villa Diasanadu for our week on Provo. The location is convenient to just about everything, without being in the middle of the mega-resorts. We love having a "home" rather than a hotel room on vacation, and this felt much like a home to us. Barb had even placed a miniature Christmas tree on the table (we were there for Christmas). Nice touch! Everything you need in order to have an enjoyable vacation is provided. Beach chairs, towels, beach towels, etc. are all provided. Copies of the latest dining guide and the latest "Where When How" magazine were on hand - very helpful! Everything is exactly as it is pictured here on the listing. The villa was clean and tidy, nothing in disrepair that we could see. We used the washing machine one time and didn't mind hanging our things out to dry on the line (think someone complained about that in a previous review). The kitchen is well equipped with enough pans, utensils and dishes to cook a full meal. We mainly did breakfasts, lunches and happy hours at the villa, going out to restaurants for dinner. The bathroom and bedroom are both roomy. No tripping over each other to get to things. The living room and dining area are perfect for two people. AC is provided in the bedroom, but we mainly just opened the windows and used fans. It was plenty cool most nights. The verandah is a great place to sit and relax after a long day at in the sun. We usually sat out there and had happy hour with some rum punch and snacks before getting ready for dinner. Very relaxing. Graceway IGA is about a 2 minute drive. Grace Bay restaurants, resorts and shopping about 3 min. (It's a small island- nothing is too far of a drive.) Turtle Cove is walking distance, as is Magnolia. We saw many runners on the sidewalks along Lower Bight road. We didn't exercise at all this week, but felt like this would be a pretty safe place for running. For beach access we used the first one east of Turtle Cove. This end of Grace Bay is very quiet and, thankfully there are no water sports salesmen hassling you to sign up for para-sailing or banana boat rides, etc., like you'll get down by the resorts. It felt almost like a private beach. This particular beach access also puts you right at the best part of Smith's Reef for snorkeling. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again if we return to Provo."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
