  • AMAZING!! Truly Paradise

"This was our first trip to Great Exuma and it was truly amazing. I cannot say enough great things about the people, the island, the gorgeous scenery and this amazing house on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. The owner was a pleasure to work with and the house lived up to all our expectations. Can't wait to go back again."

  • Even Better Than The Pictures!

"Our group of 6 (2 couples and 2 kids) stayed at Ryder Retreat for 10 days. While the pictures were beautiful, the reality was even better than we expected. The house had plenty of room for all of us so we never felt crowded. Everything was clean and the house was well stocked with kitchen amenities, sheets and towels. Opening the windows and sliding doors provided excellent airflow during the day and the ceiling fans and windows kept the bedrooms comfortable at night, we never needed the air conditioning. We were pleasantly surprised that the pool was larger and deeper than it appears in the pictures. We enjoyed lounging on the patio and cooling off in the pool when we were not out sightseeing and exploring the island's beaches and restaurants. The house is not on the beach but it's just a quick drive to Long Bay. While we were there it was very calm; perfect floating conditions. Lorri, the owner, was always accessible and pleasant to deal with. Shawn, the caretaker, met us at the airport and waited with us while we sorted out a snafu at the rental car company. He got us situated at the house and came back a few times during our stay to check up on us and remove the trash. He was always a pleasure. We would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends. We had a fantastic stay at Ryder Retreat. Thank you Lorri and Brian, Ciara, Bryan, Dave, Tiffany, Logan and Ohwen"

  • GREAT VIEW- Lovely Stay !

"We had a wonderful stay at Giovanna's on St. John and will be back! AMAZING VIEW- This was the best part of the house. The house is basic but the bed was comfy and the showers were great! We were happy to be able to cook and felt the kitchen was stocked better than you would expect for a rental. We did enjoy several restaurants but can be hit or miss, definitely read reviews first. LOVED Miss Lucy's up the street. Service on the Island is slow if you are used to bog city service. We did not use the AC at all because there was such a nice breeze. The drive to get up to the house is precarious and you definitely need a 4 wheel drive. We also felt the house was very affordable for the island and loved being on the Coral Bay side. There are so many beached to explore that are completely empty and serene. It was quiet and peaceful experience overall. We will be back! I wish I was there right now!"

  • Gorgeous View

"We rented this condo a month before our arrival date. We decided to bring our daughter and her friend to celebrate her graduating nursing school. My husband and I have been all over the Abacos numerous times. I was very easy to deal with the owner. This condo has a spectacular view of the ocean, as well as the pool area. It is beautifully decorated with all of the amenities you would need. I hope to rent this condo again in the future!"

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
