  • One of Cayman's best kept secret!

"Hello dear reader, Quick summary: This was a very nice little paradise for relaxation or to go out and enjoy on a Saturday night. This place has its plus and it negatives. But overall worth giving a chance. Pros: You cannot find such a beautiful sight! When I opened the shades at the main bedroom and gazed into the ocean every morning. People pay a lot of money for the view you will get for the reasonable price. During the weekday it is extremely relaxing. Quite, nice breeze, perfect temperature. You are given your space by Tricia thus you can really feel at home. The kitchen, washer/dryer and other commodities makes this convenient. We did our laundry, cooked our own meals, enjoyed the view. Restaurants are really expensive. One hour drive to the seven mile beach and 10 minutes to Kaibo beach! There is a local supermarket about 10 minutes away. The putin next door at the Kaibo club is amazing! The public pool was great to enjoy! I dare you to find the switch to the jets for the Jacuzzi. The pool is only empty at night during the weekdays but I was ok with that. There was ALWAYS parking within the facility. The beds were so conferrable. More conferrable than what we have at home. Oh, and for those hot days, he fans and air conditioning system was divine! Safe! Yes, this is a safe place to walk around, leave your doors open, leave your valuables at home. That to me is a HUGE plus. Now time for the cons: On the weekends the young people like to party on the boats at the club next door as a result you can smell the gasoline from the condo and hear their loud music. The hammock is made of a plastic material that hurts your skin. This can be remedied by using towels to cover the hammock but worth mentioning. I knew going in that the TVs are not modern TVs with a hdmi input or any other feature. I wold be nice to have a decent TV at night. NO wifi on the property. You must walk next door and pay for the wifi there. Make sure to bring your dvds. The beach on the property is so shallow that the water only reaches your knees. You need to drive 5 min to the Kaybo beach (or walk 10 min). The main bedroom is amazing! How is this a con? The other bedroom faces the parking lot. You better hope you are in the room with the ocean view! Tips: Renting a car is a MUST! if you are looking to cook your own food or explore the island. If you want to enjoy the best breakfast of your life go to Over the edge cafe, go to trip advisor and look them up!"

  • an awesome place to hang with your friends

"This house is beyond cool...like a tropical tree house right on the beach with one of the best surf breaks (Dogman's) right in your back yard. Owned by surfers and walking distance to a bunch of other great surf breaks and cool spots to eat, you are in good hands if you are staying here. Beautiful views of the beach and a huge yard as well, great for families or large groups coming down with two floors to accommodate everyone and plenty of common space to hang out."

  • Belize is UnBelizeable

"Our stay at Harbour Hideaway was the best. Jim and Cindy made us feel like family. Their studio was perfect for what we needed. They had everything: beach towels, kayaks and they even borrowed an extra bike from a friend so our whole family could have one. They were very thoughtful. It is in a great location and it is very clean. Our vacation will be remember for always."

  • Perfect Relaxation Retreat

"A lovely cabin just off the main south road, quiet but complete with everything you might want - main room living/kitchen, bedroom and bath. Lovely garden surrounding. Two minute walk to the beach where you can use Banana Beach pool and pristine sand beach area. Hostess Karen is a delight, knowledgeable and will help you arrange anything you might need. Nearby store, golf cart rental, tour booking, massages, beach bars, restaurants - everything. We had a wonderful relaxing time."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
