  • Fantastic Apartment!

"What a great apartment! Where to start?? Ok, so first of all the apartment is on top of a hill, a big hill! So the views over Grand Anse beach are amazing and you get some fantastic sunsets too! Then there's the pool, it's lovely, totally secluded and perfect for cooling off in, with loads of recliners and tables and chairs around it. Then there's the apartment itself, almost all the wall space is given over to opening windows that have mesh on the front which keeps the inside bug free! and means it's cool, there's a fully kitted out kitchen, two bathrooms and a brilliantly comfortable huge bed in the bedroom! Then there's the 6 lovely Jack Russells and 2 big (but not scary) Rottweiler's - their antics, as you watch them unseen from above, are hilarious! The apartment is less than a 5 minute drive from Grand Anse beach - you must try the Carriacou Love Bites, Conch Fritters and Jack Daniels glazed chicken wings at Umbrellas on the beach. The best beach is back towards the airport look for signs to the Beach House restaurant - walk down the paths either side of the fences surrounding the Beach House and you are on Dr Grooms beach - stunning! And in September almost deserted! But there are so many great places to eat and beaches to visit and Grenada is small enough to drive around in a few hours - we know we did it! Lastly, and by no means leastly, there's the owners Ellen and Stewart in their house right next door. We didn't meet Stewart, he was off visiting family in the UK, but Ellen was the most wonderful host. She really made us feel so welcome, from collecting us at the airport and rustling up something for 2 weary travellers to eat on their first night, to the really thoughtful bottle of sparkling wine and card for our wedding anniversary and advice on things to do and places to eat out in; nothing was too much. I have to say at the end of our week we both had a little tear in our eyes as we said good bye to Ellen and "Inside Out". We really hope to return some time in the not too distant future!"

  • Great Place

"Beautiful house with all the amenities, great layout including outside living area with great views. The constant breeze keeps everything comfortable. Kitchen well-stocked, unlike some rentals. Two master suites makes it ideal for two couples (our situation), and the 3rd BR was very functional. The owner is very helpful and accomodating with infomation and help, as are the on-island staff. Having gotten lost at night looking for a rental at night on another island, the pick-up at the airport as part of the rental is a great idea and indicative of the care shown by the owner to renters. Grenada is a beautiful, interesting and varied island with lovely beaches and decent diving. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house."

  • Once in a lifetime holiday we need to repeat!

"On our arrival, it was clear that the photographs, though accurate, in no way capture the beauty of the bay or the villa. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and more and were able to enjoy splendid evenings out on the veranda and inside too. There was ample room by the pool for soaking up the sun and also resting in the shade. The gardens were beautiful and the breeze carried with it the scent of nutmeg and fragrant flowers. We traveled off season and so there was rain, but although torrential on occasions, lasted for only a few minutes and the sun came out as quickly as the rain started! It was really magnificent watching storm clouds travel towards us and disappear into the distance. The housekeeper was lovely, she seemed to know what we might need even before we did and was available to offer help and ideas at any time. We had an amazing time in and around Granada. The restaurants were fantastic and the people were very friendly. The Beach House restaurant offered beautiful views, and beach to stroll along and amazing food. The restaurant at Calabash Resort (Gary Rhodes) had a steel band, humorous but excellent waiters and food that was some of the best we have ever eaten. Sunday at the 'Aquarium was also an experience - barbecued fish or meat served at a beach side table was accompanied by music and to our delight the emergence of a hundred baby turtles making their way to the sea! We enjoyed the experiences of diving or snorkeling with the help of friendly knowledgeable and helpful trainers. All in all an amazing holiday which we would highly recommend. Just a note.. insect repellant a must!"
