  • Casa De Isle, Taylor Bay area

"This was one of the best vacations we had. My husband, my brother, and our 2 best friens went to the Casa De Isle in Oct. We had great weather and the house and pool was excellent. It was very close to the beach which was a short walking distance. The house had absolutely everything we needed including sharp knives for cooking which is very important as a cook. Dan and Debbie were great and helped us with many ideas and places to go. I would recommend to anyone. We will go back for sure. This was a great fit for our entire group."

  • Honeymoon Stay

"My wife and I rented this villa for our honeymoon. We could not be happier with the outcome of our stay. We absolutely loved out villa. We loved it so much we stayed at the villa, swimming and lying out in the sun until we had to leave in the early evening for our flight. The villa was very private, which was perfect for our honeymoon. We loved the pool area. Leon did an excellent job constructing it (He built this villa himself)! Modern feel inside the villa, but not overly done. Every room is air conditioned, which is a must is St. Barths. Very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all of the tools/ingredients you will need for your stay (pots/pans, cooking utensils, seasonings). All 3 bedrooms are set apart from each other enough so if you are vacationing with your family or other couples, you will have you space. Leon also installed colored lamps under the beds to make things festive ;). Leon and Lawrence were so nice. Whatever we needed they were there to help. Could not ask for better people to rent from. As for location, it was only a 11 minute drive into Gustavia. Everything is so close, so if your are worried about being so far away, don't! I am sure we will be back someday for an our yearly trip, when we do, we will be contacting Leon and Laurence."

  • Perfect vacation!

"Our family of 4 stayed for a week and had a fantastic time! This was our first trip to PR and we debated about staying in San Juan, Rincon, or Fajardo. Fajardo was a good pick because it is near a lot of activities. It’s quiet and right near ocean, but with enough amenities nearby to be comfortable. On the drive from the airport you will pass a wide variety of areas. Pena Mar Ocean Club will be everything you expected and is in a nice area. It is also gated, extremely well maintained, and occupied by a good mix of full time residents and vacationers. Luisa’s apartment is excellent and just as advertised. It is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, quiet, and with a nice ocean view from the patio. Everything was sparkling clean. In the morning you can see the sun come up over the water and view of the marina - very picturesque. We were up early every day and too tired to do much at night, so having use of the facilities at Pena Mar was perfect. The basketball court and pools kept our teenagers entertained, and everyone appreciated having the WiFi, flat screens, and comforts of home. There is no food on site so be prepared to get groceries which are about 15 minutes away and not difficult to find. Luisa provides a very detailed book with local recommendations. If you want to try some of the paid tours it’s a good idea to go online and book when you first arrive or in advance. We tried and recommend the East Wind catamaran trip; Pure Adventure Biobay kayaking tour; Carabali Ranch; and Camuy Caves. Our favorite trip was a day trip on the SS Tobias to snorkel off of Culebra. Luisa also knows a local tour guide/driver for day trips. We did this for the Camuy trip and highly recommend."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
