  • AMAZING 2-week vacation!

"We loved everything about Linga - Our expectations were met and EXCEEDED! Our staff - which we liked to refer to as our Team (it was hard getting used to be looked after like that!) - were everything and more! Casi, Dawn, Deanoe, and Paul are a fabulous group of people and they quickly became family. It was so hard to leave Linga - and even harder to leave our Jamaican family!"

  • Toucan House

"Stayed at Toucan House March 2015 for a week. Very good place to stay in St Croix. Good quiet location with no security issues. Great layout for a two bedroom unit - the teenager's bedroom was well separated from ours! The pool (and everything else) was very clean and well maintained. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach but with a multitude of beaches, all public access and all with their own unique attraction with respect to snorkeling, body surfing, etc. I think the non beachfront location is an advantage. Very close to Point Udall and the hiking path to Isaac's Bay and plenty of nearby great places to eat, drink, and bask in the island pace of life. Everything from meeting at the airport (in spite of US Air costing us a day of vacation), orienting to the facility, and closing down at the end of the stay was handled superbly. I highly recommend Toucan House and would stay there again without hesitation."

  • Great VRBO experience

"Great for family or families, plenty of room for sleeping and gathering. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. Well appointed, well constructed house with all the amenities of home, and then some! Was great for our family with grown kids, considering a couples trip at a different time of year. great for 5 couples, plenty of king beds and bathrooms for all. Pretty much have to drive everywhere, which was not an issue for us...or just hang by the pool. Quiet area of the island which we like, but really close to everything. will gladly recommend to others, hope to return! Bob was easy to deal with.. zero hassles and totally responsive to our needs, which were very few."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
