  • Long Overdue Review

"There were 6 of us that stayed at Blue Villa back in June of this year to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house was close to everything and within walking distance to the pier and the coffee shop but you will need a car to explore what the island really has to offer. It was also less than a 5 minute wok to the beach and some of the best snorkeling on the island. It was like we had our own private oasis! The house was clean and spacious with the exception of the ants in the kitchen area, it just takes a little effort to keep it extra clean by making sure everything is put away. The house is equipped with all the necessary essentials such as plate ware, cookware, all sorts of glassware, beach and bath towels and air-conditioning. The rooms were large and there were two screened in decks. The private pool was a definite plus and was used everyday we were there. Louise was the perfect host and made sure every questions was answered and always responded in a timely manner. She welcomed us with the Turks local brew (which I crave to this day) and always recommend the best places to go. We also really enjoyed our fur-housemate Robinson (the cat) which we renamed shadow. He was the sweetest thing and followed us everywhere, he'd hang with us at the beach, the pool and would wait for us on top of our car every morning. We even ended up picking him up a box of food. I wanted to take him home:-) The trip was absolutly perfect, everyone we met was welcoming and so very friendly! There's no doubt in my mind where I will stay the next time I head to T&C!!"

  • The perfect home away from home

"This villa has the perfect size, location and amenities for up to two couples or a family with a few children. The two master suites at opposite ends of the house all have direct access to the pool deck, yet provide desired privacy. The view from the pool overlooking Chocolate Hole couldn't have been better. The proximity to the North Shore beaches, restaurants, the ferry dock and grocery and liquor stores was very convenient - far better than when we stayed previously in Coral Bay area. The well provisioned home was clean and well cared for. The management group we booked through (Destination St. John) was very responsive to our questions. Having the entire house air conditioned was a definite plus. Thanks for our wonderful stay in paradise!"

  • Absolutely Fabulous

"Best Vacation ever said my 18y/o son, it doesn't get any better than that. This Villa has it all, pool short hike to a great beach with snorkeling, fantastic view and every amenity you can think of. Beach chairs, snorkeling equip, beach towels, coolers it was like being at a first class resort. The owners bent over backwards to make our stay the best. Recommendations were spot on, and I can't say enough about the home even band aids and iodine for an emergency. We will definitely be back."

  • Beautiful getaway

"Yes, it is off the beaten path and it is on the Southeast side of the island which is about a 40 minute drive from the Cruz Bay ferry port. The immediate road leading to Kiddel Perch is rocky, so make sure you rent a jeep, but it is absolutely beautiful and worth the drive. The unit was clean, extremely spacious, the wrap around deck had amazing views, we saw shooting stars at night and clear waters in the day, and it is close to the best eats on the island (miss lucy's for breakfast and johnny cakes, tourist trap for lobster roll, skinny legs for burgers), about 10 minute drive to Calabash Market for groceries, and about a 2 minute drive to the Saltpond Beach. If you are looking for hotel amenities, this is not the place. There is no A/C but we went in the dead of summer and there was always a nice breeze that kept the place cool along with the ceiling fans in every room. Heat was really not an issue. Communicating with the property manager was extremely easy and hassle-free. They provided all the necessary contact information (which we never had to use during our stay as we had no issues) as well as clear driving directions to Kiddel Perch. The drive into Cruz Bay and beaches along the north shore were an easy drive, but we always looked forward to coming back to Kiddel Perch for true island rest and relaxation. We would definitely stay at Kiddel Perch again."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
