  • Beautiful House on a Beautiful Island

"We just returned from our second stay at The Charming House, and had a wonderful week in this restored gem. The house is located in the South District of Salt Cay, and is a three minute walk from the Atlantic. The house is furnished in classic island style and the many doors and windows keep the interior breezy and comfortable (there are also many fans throughout the house). Our kids, ages 6 and 9 love the enclosed garden and the freedom to come and go. We love the second floor verandah and its west views toward the sea. The kitchen has everything a cook could need. We brought provisions for breakfast and lunch and also cooked a few dinners at the house. Groceries on the island are limited, so it's helpful to pack what you can. We absolutely love this house and plan to head back to it as soon as possible! Debbie, the house manager, is terrific, as is Charles, the owner! Charming House is the perfect place to escape from life's pressures and to truly relax."

"We loved this property!! It was just what we were looking for in accommodations and location. Very quite and private. The home is well appointed and tastefully decorated. You need a car but if you want to get away from all the hustle of seven mile beach I highly recommend this property. There is a store close by and restaurants not far away. Definitely go to Over the Edge which is right down the road. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. Do not look any further book this home."

  • Peaceful location & Great view!

"My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in August 2014. The view is spectacular! The bedroom is air conditioned and we slept very well in there. We enjoyed waking up every morning to enjoy some coffee on the balcony. Great location. El Yunque isn't far away either!"

"We had an amazing stay at Park Bay House. Having stayed at houses overlooking the water at several different Caribbean islands we were looking for something different and we definitely found it at Park Bay. The house is as advertised, maybe better. It's as close to the water as the pictures indicate, with unbelievable views and the constant sounds of the waves giving it a unique advantage over most properties. We found that "being off the grid" wasn't a bad thing. The ocean breezes blowing trough the house and across the deck kept us comfortable night and day and bugs were not a problem. I was even able to see some great stuff snorkeling right off the property, including lobsters, an eel, octopus, flounder, and a giant crab. The owners were great when responding to any questions or issues we had, always getting back to us in a prompt and friendly manner. The staff was very accommodating as well. The welcome dinner, ride to the house from the ferry dock, help with a rental car, and daily housekeeping service all helped to make the long trip there worth it. The house is only a few minutes from town but it feels like your the only one on the island. Even though Bequia has several good restaurants and beaches we were reluctant to leave the house. I would recommend Park Bay house to anyone looking for a memorable stay at a beautiful Caribbean island."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
