  • WONDERFUL VILLA!

"We have stayed at many villas over the past 20 years, and Blue Skies was by far the BEST! The location and view can't be beat. The villa was extremely roomy, clean and comfortable. A home-away-from-home, only so much better! Shawna, the owner, and all of our contacts were so nice and helpful. If I had any questions, they were answered almost immediately. I booked with total confidence. Although we always bring or buy our own supplies, we could not believe how well stocked the villa was -- from beach supplies to cleaning supplies -- EVERYTHING was thought of. We definitely will make Blue Skies our choice the next time we are in St. Thomas!"

  • Everything we dreamed of and more!!!!

"From the moment we first arrived on the island, we instantly fell in love with St. John and everything it had to offer. Sinbad was great at meeting us at the barge dock and giving us a brief tour of the island and all the local hot spots. When we arrived at Meritage Cottage, we instantly fell in love all over again! The cottage was exactly as pictured on the website. We had our own private deck with breathtaking views of the mountains, ocean, tropical trees and amazing sunsets! We loved relaxing in the hot tub and watching the iguanas during the day and the frogs at night. The cottage is located in a nice part of the island. Renting a Jeep is a must for navigating the island. Our favorite beaches were Hawksnest and Water lemon Cay, especially for snorkeling. Such a variety of coral, fish, sting rays, turtles and more!!! We will definitely return to St.John and Meritage Cottage and are even considering for a destination wedding. St.John immediately captured our hearts... Whether you are looking for a remote, romantic getaway or an adventure, you will not be disappointed!!!"

  • Great home for enjoyable stay

"My family of three generations had a pleasure to stay at this villa in the end of August - beginning of September. The house provided grade accommodations to all 10 of us (3 related families). I doubt we would feel more comfortable with this number of people and 3 families in my own house. Bathroom in each of 4 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large first floor space with dining room, living room, backyard, swimming pool nearby, beach - short pleasant walk away - all of these wonderful features made our stay so enjoyable! Supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants - all nearby. Driving to many PR tourist attractions is actually more convenient, than from San Juan. We were initially planning to stay in San Juan and I am so glad we opted to stay in this wonderful villa in Dorado. So much more space, beautiful grounds, true resort feel, plenty of parking (and the garage is also available). There is no comparison! Unless you are just a couple of people who want to spend most of your time in the city, without renting a car, going to clubs, etc. i do not see a reason to stay in San Juan vs. the this beautiful and spacious vacation home. I would definitely not even think twice if I was to come back to PR with my family (which, I hope, I will). Definitely, would love to stay at this villa again! Another point worth mentioning is how easy and pleasant it was to deal with the owner - Madeline. We never met her but we could feel her hospitality and caring. We received lots of useful information regarding things to to and places to go to while in PR - and to do it most efficient manner. The instructions provides regarding the stay and the available accommodations and facilities were very clear and easy to follow. All in all, it was definitively an A+ experience for all of us, which made our stay in PR truly unforgettable. Thank you!"

  • Great villa for a group

"Secret Haven was amazing! It was welcoming, clean, and so convenient (just a short cab ride) to Red Hook and local attractions. The owner gave us some great advice about local hot spots (we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at XO!), plus she was flexible and accommodating. We were blown away by her hospitality. Our group of nine had a great time relaxing by the pool and drinking sangria on the wrap-around deck. The views of the ocean are amazing, especially when you're looking out from the unbelievably comfortable bed in the Master bedroom. This villa was everything we could have hoped for."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
