"This was our second trip to Cabarete the first being in December 2013 where we rented a very nice villa a little further down the beach. As it turns out the very nice villa down the beach is not in the same league as Casa Bonita and I would argue not even the same sport. This villa is fantastic every little detail has been thought of (at least everything we could think of) The owner is very responsive to any enquiry and Marie the maid is great. Thanks for a great week out of the snow Joe, we will be back."Guest: mark r. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 24, 2014View listing
"Sea Rock is located on the East side of St. John, VI. It sits on the side of a mountain, has a welcoming entrance, a fresh air openness, and an amazing view of Coral Bay stretching out to the Atlantic. The house is in decorative seaside colors, bright, clean, amply provisioned and well cared for. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil necessary, the bedrooms have more than enough comfort and bedding, and after a hot and sunny day we chose to sleep with air conditioning. There are two, large (protected) outdoor showers—so one showers with a view—and then there’s the hot tub! Also available are Wi-Fi, telephone, sound system, TV, puzzles, and games. We enjoyed watching the rising sun, sail boats and colorful skiffs zigzagging around the Bay and, on one night, a full moon and its reflection up the Bay. We’re not birders, but Bananaquits regularly visited and made us feel welcome and a Green-Breasted Carib Hummingbird made its rounds to flowers on the deck. The biggest surprise and challenge was getting accustomed to an Island with a rhythm of its own—Slow, and that’s only in part the result of the 20 mph speed limit. We were also surprised to find one drives on the left side of the road and that the steering wheel is on the left side of the vehicle. As to seaside recreation, after visiting some delightful beaches, Maho Bay became our beach of choice for swimming and snorkeling because of its proximity and convenient parking. This was a genuinely restful vacation. It’s been a few weeks since we got home and we’re still adapting. Thank you Dan, Deb and Jared. "My wife and I spent 2 thoroughly relaxing weeks at this studio. The peace and quiet , only interrupted by the sound of the waves beating the nearby shoreline, and the birdsong, made for a tranquil setting in absolute privacy. The studio itself has all that you need in the way of amenities, and is very clean and orderly. The family are only a step away around the other side of the house , should you need anything at all , or advice. Yves and his son Hugo are a splendid pair of fellows, polite, obliging, and helpful. A car is a must to get around this very pretty Island , with an abundance of beautiful beaches. There is a fine selection of restaurants and bars on both sides of the Island, and the nearby Supermarket abounds with French wines, cheeses, cooked meats and other delicasies. We put the Kayak to good use , paddling over to Pinel Island , and in the evenings took a bottle of wine down to the jetty to watch the sunset. What more can I say. A wonderful and memorable holiday. Grenada Travel Tips
Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals
The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.
Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas
Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.
On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada.
