  • Amazing...peaceful and relaxing

"When we arrived on the island Daphne was there to take us on a tour of the island and then to the house. The house is located right on the beach and is fully equipped with everything we needed. Words cannot express the beauty of this property. Our trip was planned for complete relaxation and free from stress. I could not have been more pleased with the hospitality from Daphne, Bonnie and Georgina. They were great in making sure we had all we needed for the week and Georgina even took us out on the boat for a personal tour of the reef and nearby beaches. It was like being at home but with an amazing backyard. Bed was very comfortable and the amenities were perfect for what we needed. Hands down...best vacation ever!!! Only advice i can offer is be careful in booking your connector flight if coming from Nassau. Charter Flights don't leave on time and we almost missed our Delta flight out of Nassau to go home due to late arrival."

  • Beautiful setting

"My family of six, children ages 18,16,14 and 11 stayed for a week. Great setting and we never got tired of the view. The house is spacious and the pool/deck is wonderful. The pictures are accurate. It is very comforting having a staff on site and Maureen was great. The house is on a hillside which provides the great view, so there is a bit of a steep walk to the beach. The beach at Oyster Pond is very small and we would highly recommend the beach at Orient Bay which is a short drive. Busby's is a great little beach bar with good breakfeasts. Would also highly recommend a yacht rental at SXM. Pricey, but worth it and Pinel Island is a great place for lunch. The location was great as it was also a short drive to Phillipsburg. The only minor downside of the house is that the family room was very warm even at night. It is not air-conditioned which is understandable given the shortages on the island. The ocean breezes never seemed to cool the room down which during the day didnt matter as we were never inside, but, at night it was still very warm. May have just been the week we were there. I would recommend some larger fans in that room. Suzanne was an absolute joy to work with"

  • What a Place to Call Home in the Caribbean

"This is a fantastic location in an amazingly untouched part of the world. Being on the "remote" side of the island means that you'll see more wild sea turtles out the back door than you will other people. The panoramic views out of almost every window are out of this world. The empty lots adjacent to the property mean you get an extra buffer of space. The $50m+ "island home" next door lets you know you're in one of the most desirable locations in all the Caribbean. Literally steps from the main house you will find a private cove full of aquatic life...starfish, sea turtles, rock lobster, colorful coral, literally thousands of tropical fish. It was like swimming in an aquarium. The views of the ocean are breathtaking, and the little slices of land that you can see to the South is part of the national park, so this location is ideal for anyone who wants to get away from it all. You definitely feel like you are on your own remote island, yet you are within the Silly Creek Estates development. We rented a small car for a very low rate and enjoyed being able to run into town for beer and necessities. It is only a few miles from the airport, but in the opposite direction of all the tourist spots (Grace Bay) where it seemed like 95% of the crowds were staying. We did make a day trip to Grace Bay which was fun, and others in our group enjoyed a trip to the Middle Island. A private dock on the front of the property (on Silly Creek) give you water access if you are being picked up by boat. We wish we had brought fishing poles, as we would have feasted on Grouper and other fresh fish (we could see them all snorkeling but couldn't catch them). The main house is a very neat setup with a large, open-air (but screened-in) living space connecting all the different rooms. We made use of the outdoor propane grill and also the kitchen is very well appointed with all of the kitchen staples. There are also two large refrigerators. The 2-person kayak on the property was the perfect addition to the property, as you can paddle over to Turtle Island or into the national park in literally minutes. Food on the island is not cheap—even the ramshackle huts where the "locals" were eating lunch were $8-12 minimum for a meal. Most restaurants we dined at were in the $20-30 price point per meal, but there was always something relatively affordable on the menu. Can't wait to go back one day!"

  • Wonderful Accomodations

"My family of 7 spent a week at Seabreeze and I have to say that we throughly enjoyed it. The house is large and although there was 7 of us, we never felt cramped or that we we stumbling over each other. It was very comfortable and enjoyed by all (aged 4yr to 65). Most activities (shopping, beach, etc.) were only a short drive away and the view is beyond description. It looks like it is right out of a travel magazine. The owner was very accomodating and extremely easy to work with. She seemed willing to do whatever was necessary to insure that we enjoyed ourselves, and this may have been one of the best vacations we've ever had. Definitely would return."

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
