"We (a cold Alaskan couple and a chilled Minnesota couple) had a great stay in the upstairs apartment at Casa Caracol! Phil came through with all the things he advertised. He had kayaks for us to use and we had a blast kayaking. My brother and I used them to go out to the reef. It was fun and we found muscles we hadn't used in a while (although, I think I pulled a fat instead of a muscle). Phil also set us up with a day of fishing, a wonderful boat trip to the Mayan Ruins, and a great half day of snorkeling at Hol Chan and Shark and Ray Alley. The rental is walking distance to a well stocked grocery, fresh produce stands, a wonder full bakery, and all the local shopping you want. The upstairs was perfect for the four of us. Two bedroom each with their own bathrooms with showers. A beautiful well stocked kitchen which we used a ton. The deck has a great view of the reef and is a great place to relax no matter what part of the day it is. He has a housekeeper come in every couple days and she does an amazing job!!! It was so nice having a week to not worry about anything and just relax. We had a wonderful time and Phil took all the details out of it for us. At the end of our stay, we had one credit card bill to him which included all the day excursions he booked for us and he didn't add on penny for his time and effort to set them up. He is a great guy and was wonderful to work with. We recommend him and Casa Caracol highly."

  • Amazing views!

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Calabas- my husband, my 5 year old and myself. Right as you walk in to the home, the view is amazing!! You just can't beat it, really. The open concept of the home allows for the wind to easily flow through the home and you experience a constant and wonderful breeze. The pool is a really nice size pool and the set up around it makes it truly private, while the upstairs deck allows you to enjoy the sunset. I was a bit concerned that there is a road right by the house, but it is rarely used, so there is no traffic or car noise at all. The location is also great, as you are near to all high-rise hotel activities, downtown or easily head out anywhere on the island for some exploring (we did both). The house was more than complete with utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc-- and I really appreciated that the plates were all a nice ceramic white, glasses matched also. In other words, it was done with thoughtfulness and consideration to detail, which I personally appreciate. JP and Eve were really great and attentive if ever we needed them for anything or any questions. Thanks JP, Eve and Eveline for your attention! The Conlons"

Grenada Travel Tips

Getting to Grenada Vacation Rentals

The Point Salines International Airport is located on the southwestern tip of Granada. Most flights in and out of the country are from neighboring Caribbean islands and South and Central America. A handful of international airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from the United States and Europe. If you cannot find a direct flight from your home destination, you may consider routing via Trinidad or Barbados. In season, there is typically a higher flight frequency and it is advisable to make your flight reservations well in advance as direct flights do get booked up very quickly. Once on the island, it is fairly easy to get around. Taxis operate in the main towns and provide airport transfers. Buses offer an affordable way to get around Grenada and operate daily. The local information office will be able to provide you with more information on routes and schedules. There are many car rental agencies on Grenada and this is possibly one of the best options if you want to explore the island sights independently. The roads are generally easy to navigate and maps can be obtained from the rental agencies or the local information office. There is also a ferry service that runs between the main towns on the island.

Best Time of Year to Visit Grenada Villas

Grenada enjoys a year-round tropical climate. Summer months can get very hot; toward the end of the season, tropical storms can blow through. The peak travel season is December through April when the temperatures are milder and the weather is drier.

Activities Available at Grenada Resort Rentals

Grenada is a destination with a wealth of natural attractions. The beautiful beaches are one of the islands big draw cards. Spend your days relaxing on the soft sands and watching the passing crowds. There are many excellent restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy a meal or late afternoon cocktail. Grenada has immaculate coral reefs which are ideal for diving or snorkeling. Enjoy an afternoon cruise on a luxury yacht and stop for a snorkel along the way. Dive charter companies offer dive excursions for certified divers. The diving conditions are some of the best in the Caribbean. Great visibility, warm water temperatures and moderate ocean currents make for a relaxing and enjoyable diving environment. The reefs are spectacular. Colorful hard and soft corals are home to masses of reef fish. On deeper wall dives, you may see some pelagic, turtles, rays and wrasse. Yachting is a favorite pastime and there are many boat charter companies offering cruises as well.

On the island itself, you can keep yourself very busy exploring all the natural wonders. The Grand Etang Lake and Forest Reserve is a beautiful natural resource located high up in the island's mountainous interior. The lush forests are home to a wide variety of wildlife including birds, monkeys, frogs and lizards. The lake is one of the few high altitude lakes in the Caribbean and spectacularly beautiful. There are many different hiking trails that range from a short 30-minute loop to longer day hikes. There are several sporting facilities on Grenada. You can enjoy a game of tennis or round of golf at the Granada Golf and Country Club.
