  • "This was an excellent property for a vacation!!!"

"My two daughters and I had a wonderful experience in Brigantine Bay. Everything in the condo was as promised on the website. The two bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious, modern and we'll maintained. During the evenings that we stayed in I appreciated having the flat screens in both the living room and bedrooms for the girls entertainment with direct TV and the Internet for myself. It is centrally located in town so that we were in walking distance from the beach as well as the grocery stores and restaurants. The condo's pool was very clean and we loved the tiki for relaxing. My youngest daughter totally enjoyed fishing on the dock and watching the sunset. We felt at home staying in your condo. I would definitely recommend your condo to my friends and family. Thank you. :)"

  • Sunset over the ocean in your personal Pool Bar, it just doesn't get any better.

"We had an amazing time on St. Croix and the best part was Villa Dawn! The home couldn't be in a better location, it really is 5 minutes to the dive shop and Eat at Cane Bay and 4 Minutes to Off the Wall, both food and fun are within easy walking distance. Kent and Dawn are great to work with and very responsive if any situation arises. The home is well stocked, (I think we added a few items for your next guests), and the view is stunning! Sitting on the bar stools in the pool every evening with your favorite beverage watching the sunset over the bay is a magical time, and having pool-safe drink ware (even martini glasses!) made it easy and carefree. The beds are truly comfortable, and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep each night. Even when it rains, (only for a few minutes), the covered deck is expansive and became our favorite night-time hangout after our daily pool swim. An incredible Weber gas grill is also under the deck, we put it to good use with fresh seafood when we felt like cooking at home. Make sure to try the Duck Chili at Eat at Cane Bay, the Pizza at Off the Wall, and anything on the menu at Rowdy Joe's is incredible. With the great folks at the Cane Bay Dive Shop minutes away just drop off your gear with them and schedule a few dives without the hassle of carrying everything back and forth. Ellen, Graham, and I can't thank you enough for making your home available to us for our vacation, I hope we respected it enough to be allowed back for another stay!"

  • Awesome Place to visit!

"Stayed at this house with a small group from a work event, The house was wonderful, has great views, all the amenities, and everything needed available right around the corner. Beautiful community as well! This is friendly to groups of friends as well as family, plenty of places to sleep and much to do within very close driving distances from the home. I would certainly stay there again!"

  • Great Vacation

"We enjoyed our vacation stay at Johnny's place. The condo was perfect; modern, specious, beautifully decorated, kitchen is well equipped, internet worked excellent for 5 of us. We loved the balcony with the view of the marina where we spent most of the afternoons. Pools and beach are magnificent there.People by the pool work really well trying to accommodate you with chairs, umbrellas, etc. We loved the fact that there were very few people. Beach is by far one of the best there. Not too wavy, not too shallow, water is very worm and clean, just perfect. You do need a car to buy groceries as taxi ride is about $40 one way to the grocery store. There is very good description of Cap Cana on Trip Advisory site. Yes, you do feel isolated from everything there, but for us it was very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. There are couple restaurants walking distance, but they were always empty, probably because they are pretty expensive. The best grocery super market is in Punta Cana or by airport, which is about 15 minutes drive. Johnny and concierge service were very responsive with all the questions.Thank you to all for making our vacation perfect."

Guadeloupe Travel Tips

Traveling to Guadeloupe Vacation Rentals

The main airport is located on the southwestern corner of Basse-Terre, two miles from Point á Pitre. The airport hosts a variety of European and North American airlines and has two international terminals. There are direct flights from Paris and New York City. If you are looking for alternative flight routing, you could look into traveling via San Juan on Puerto Rico. There are several ferries and private yacht charters that operate between Guadeloupe and neighboring islands in the Caribbean.

Best Time of Year to Visit Guadeloupe Villas

Guadeloupe is a group of French-governed islands located in the eastern part of the Caribbean. They are sometimes referred to as the butterfly islands because the two largest islands, when viewed together from the air, resemble the shape of a butterfly's wings. The islands have a typically tropical climate with little temperature variation between the seasons. The more differentiating factor is the humidity and rainfall. In the summer months, high levels of humidity and frequent rain showers make the temperatures feel hotter. Occasional tropical storms are also common, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The cyclone season is also typically the low tourist season and this occurs mostly in August and September. From December through April, the air is drier and temperatures therefore feel more moderate. This is most commonly the peak tourist season.

Visitors to Guadeloupe Resort Rentals

Because Guadeloupe is a French foreign territory, the primary local language is French. This therefore attracts many French Canadians and European travelers. It is a vacation destination that has an almost sophisticated air about it, even though it is a tropical island destination. The main cities have high-class shopping malls and the streets resemble those of mainland France. However, when you travel to more remote parts of the island, you can discover a wealth of natural treasures. It is certainly a destination for sun lovers and people who enjoy sandy white beaches and swaying palm trees. Guadeloupe is known for its vibrant nightlife. Local festivals are usually all-night street parties. It is a trendy vacation destination that attracts movie stars and celebrities, especially to the elite island of St. Barthelemy.

Attractions and Activities near Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe has a wealth of natural attractions. Beautiful beaches are what the destination is known for but its natural attractions extend far beyond that. The rainforests are thick and home to many plant and animal species. The island of Basse-Terre has rugged volcanic terrain and is home to the Caribbean's tallest waterfall. The adjacent island of Grand-Terre has a gentler, more undulating landscape. Some of the smaller uninhabited islands are still relatively wild and untamed. The Guadeloupe National Park has more than 180 miles of marked trails that visitors can explore. For birdwatching enthusiasts, you can take an excursion to the mangrove swamps on Grand-Terre and see many different bird species here.

If you are more adventurous, you can take a hike to the top of La Soufriere. This active volcano last made rumblings in 1976. The hike is strenuous and takes approximately 90 minutes to reach the top. Guadeloupe is surrounded by amazing coral reefs and it is ranked as one of the top 10 dive sites in the world. Diving conditions are calm, and the coral and marine life are abundant. Eating out in Guadeloupe is an experience. The cuisine is a blend of island and European flavors that will delight the palate. There are many beach bars and nightclubs where you can enjoy some tasty local rum cocktails.
