  • Great Place! Great Staff! Great beach!

"My family and I just returned from a fabulous vacation at Coral Gardens and we cannot say enough about this place. The owner promised us a cozy place with all the amenities with a million dollar view and that is exactly what we found! The staff were so happy, polite, accommodating and professional! They made our stay that much better! The onsite restaurant was also fabulous, offering casual beach front dining with great nightly entertainment. The location of the beach area is perfect for people wanting less crowded beaches and great snorkelling! Thanks to the owner of the condo and all the staff at this wonderful place! We agave decided to return same time next year!"

  • PERFECT FAMILY VACATION

"We spent a perfect week in this lovely beach house. The house is conveniently located in a gated community full of custom beach houses, next door to the Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach Reserve. My husband and our three children met my parents there. An ocean view was #1 on our list of requirements for our Puerto Rico vacation. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The entire back wall opens up to a large terrace, with dream views of the ocean and adjacent beach. A perfect spot for watching sunrises and sunsets! Diane gives new meaning to the phrase "Mi casa es su casa." We felt like we were honored guests in her home, not just renters. The children, ages 15, 13 and 10, made good use of the kayaks, boogie boards and paddle board available to us. In addition to the beach, we spent a day touring Old San Juan, surfed at Jobos Beach in Isabela, and golfed at a nearby course. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants, sampling comida criolla. We all agreed this was one of our best vacations ever! Five stars!"

  • Heaven on Earth

"Fletch's Cove surpassed our expectations. Beautifully furnished, stocked with everything you could possibly need (including snorkeling gear) and immaculately maintained and clean, Fletch's Cove was an ideal setting for a peaceful, private vacation. There is even a cabana with daybed and full bathroom. The view from the pool deck and bedroom patio is spectacular. The landscaping was very nice, too. The only thing missing was the ubiquitous Anguillan goat! You definitely need a car to get to the various beaches and restaurants, which are amazing. The owner and staff are quite accommodating, providing all the information and assistance you could possibly need."

"Just perfect. Do not miss the "Lobster delivery" - just wave to by passing small boats, you can not beat the price for live lobsters and stone crabs and use the oven or grill."

Guadeloupe Travel Tips

Traveling to Guadeloupe Vacation Rentals

The main airport is located on the southwestern corner of Basse-Terre, two miles from Point á Pitre. The airport hosts a variety of European and North American airlines and has two international terminals. There are direct flights from Paris and New York City. If you are looking for alternative flight routing, you could look into traveling via San Juan on Puerto Rico. There are several ferries and private yacht charters that operate between Guadeloupe and neighboring islands in the Caribbean.

Best Time of Year to Visit Guadeloupe Villas

Guadeloupe is a group of French-governed islands located in the eastern part of the Caribbean. They are sometimes referred to as the butterfly islands because the two largest islands, when viewed together from the air, resemble the shape of a butterfly's wings. The islands have a typically tropical climate with little temperature variation between the seasons. The more differentiating factor is the humidity and rainfall. In the summer months, high levels of humidity and frequent rain showers make the temperatures feel hotter. Occasional tropical storms are also common, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The cyclone season is also typically the low tourist season and this occurs mostly in August and September. From December through April, the air is drier and temperatures therefore feel more moderate. This is most commonly the peak tourist season.

Visitors to Guadeloupe Resort Rentals

Because Guadeloupe is a French foreign territory, the primary local language is French. This therefore attracts many French Canadians and European travelers. It is a vacation destination that has an almost sophisticated air about it, even though it is a tropical island destination. The main cities have high-class shopping malls and the streets resemble those of mainland France. However, when you travel to more remote parts of the island, you can discover a wealth of natural treasures. It is certainly a destination for sun lovers and people who enjoy sandy white beaches and swaying palm trees. Guadeloupe is known for its vibrant nightlife. Local festivals are usually all-night street parties. It is a trendy vacation destination that attracts movie stars and celebrities, especially to the elite island of St. Barthelemy.

Attractions and Activities near Caribbean Vacation Rentals in Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe has a wealth of natural attractions. Beautiful beaches are what the destination is known for but its natural attractions extend far beyond that. The rainforests are thick and home to many plant and animal species. The island of Basse-Terre has rugged volcanic terrain and is home to the Caribbean's tallest waterfall. The adjacent island of Grand-Terre has a gentler, more undulating landscape. Some of the smaller uninhabited islands are still relatively wild and untamed. The Guadeloupe National Park has more than 180 miles of marked trails that visitors can explore. For birdwatching enthusiasts, you can take an excursion to the mangrove swamps on Grand-Terre and see many different bird species here.

If you are more adventurous, you can take a hike to the top of La Soufriere. This active volcano last made rumblings in 1976. The hike is strenuous and takes approximately 90 minutes to reach the top. Guadeloupe is surrounded by amazing coral reefs and it is ranked as one of the top 10 dive sites in the world. Diving conditions are calm, and the coral and marine life are abundant. Eating out in Guadeloupe is an experience. The cuisine is a blend of island and European flavors that will delight the palate. There are many beach bars and nightclubs where you can enjoy some tasty local rum cocktails.
