  • WOW! Returning never disappoints!!

"WOW, returning for the 3rd time, really felt like we were back home again! Check in is a breeze! This spacious 2 bedroom/2 bath is so comfortable, clean & well maintained, has a fully equipped kitchen, rent with confidence! The owners are wonderful to work with and have really made this unit a wonderful getaway, with new improvements constantly. 7 Mile beach is steps away, and sports the most pristine beach in the Caribbean (from this Travel Agents eyes!), complimentary beach chairs and shade are always available! Hardest work you'll do all week is filling the cooler!! And don't get me started on the sunsets! I've stayed on the East end, toured many hotels on 7 Mile, and we keep returning to Harbor Heights. The property has a security guard on duty to remind anyone it's private property. Traveling off season meant only a few cruise ships in port the entire week. With dining space for 6, we enjoyed breakfasts together (Fosters IGA has everything you need). The spacious comfortable living area made for a cool retreat (with Owners books "on loan" and games). With beds for 6, we all slept great! Visiting this summer, we had no waits at restaurants lunch or dinner. Some of our favorites: Dukes BBQ night across the street, Sunshine Grill burgers/fish tacos, Eats, Da Fish restaurant downtown...all made us wish we had more nights to eat out! Grand Cayman is easy to get around, locals are very friendly, and driving is on the left! So find your flipflops! Because when you need to get away from the business of life, stare at endless shades of blue, this piece of paradise is the ticket! We're already dreaming about returning!! Thanks again to the owners for the great memories & sharing their amazing "home away from home" with us! We'll be back : )"

  • Romantic! Amazing views!

"We stayed here for six days and it was pretty great. We walked to Skinny Legs, enjoyed nature's wake up calls in the form of roosters, donkeys and goats - who would walk along the side of the house. There is a lovely patio, a kitchen with a large refrigerator and it's in a good location for visiting the various beaches on the island. Plus it's nice to have your our pool. Miss Lucy's was great as was Salt Pond for snorkeling."

  • Wonderful renovated condo on Sapphire Beach

"I was a little nervous renting this unit as it didn't have any user ratings. I am thrilled to say that it is terrific! The unit looks exactly like the photos. The unit was renovated 3 years ago and is very nicely done. Most of the units at this Condo Resort have the same layout - living space flows into bedroom separated by movable dividers. The coral sofa is a sofabed, but the space would get pretty cramped if you had more than 3-4 people. Compared to other units at Sapphire Beach Resort available through VRBO (and I looked at nearly all of them) this is really one of the nicer ones. There are 2 huge flat screen TVs, a full kitchen (microwave that doubles as convection oven, stove top, and large fridge), and the bathroom has granite counters and stone walls. I really like that the unit is on the first floor - we eat dinner each night be candle light right on the back patio, and can walk right onto the beach during the day - no need to use stairs. The air conditioning could be a bit cooler, but adequate. The manager of the property is a bit laid back - I had to be a bit persistent to get him to respond to calls or emails when I wanted to reserve the unit. I have since learned that being "laid back" is pretty much how everyone is on St. Thomas. There is mid-week maid service where linens are changed and the condo is cleaned - but I had to remind them to do it. They provide soap and many very nice bath towels and beach towels. Bring your own shampoo since they provided only 1 tiny hotel sized bottle. The manager provided us with 2 snorkel sets for the week which we used daily. You have to request a Wifi package if you want it (an extra $30). The beach right outside is lovely - we went snorkeling and saw fish, squid, stingray, shark and sea turtles (really!). Many of the passengers on cruise ships come here given it's reputation. The water is crystal clear and warm. There is a beautiful pool 50 feet to the right of the unit. The complex itself is a bit run down as a whole - but didn't bother me since we were either in the unit, on the beach, or out touring. Sapphire beach is conveniently 5 minutes from the barge to get to St. John."
