  • Beautiful Beachfront!

"Our extended family of 10 enjoyed a week in this fabulous beachfront property! The house is gorgeous and directly on the beach. It is in a gated community with 24 hour security. The manager, Mark, was very helpful in answering questions and making our arrival seamless. On windy days, the beach is loaded with kiters and windsurfers from about 11am on...not good for swimming. However, morning boogie boarding was great and on low wind days the swimming was perfect! The beach is clean fine sand where you can walk out quite a ways before it gets too deep. We hired a cook for the week, Illuminada. She was wonderful and arranged though Mark. She prepared some delicious local dishes that we enjoyed tremendously. Ana cleans the house daily which was great considering all the sand we trekked in. Manuel did a great job cleaning the pool and the grounds. The house itself was in great condition. There are four bedrooms (two bedrooms with queens, one bedroom with 2 queens and one bedroom with 4 bunks). It was clean and well cared for. The only trouble we had was with the dishwasher and one of the air conditioning units...which were a plus for sleeping! The pool was perfect for the kids...age 12 and under. It is an easy walk to downtown Cabarete...a great spot for lunch or dinner. We kited, windsurfed, paddle boarded, zip lined, visited the monkeys, visited the local school with donations, jumped off waterfalls, went fishing, body surfed, built sandcastles, swam and walked for miles! It's a wonderful vacation destination!!!"

  • Good Place on SMB

"My spouse and I rented this one bedroom condo for a week. The paperwork with the owner went smoothly. The condo unit was fine and clean. The condos' location on Seven Mile Beach is between the Marriott Hotel and the Royal Palms bar so there is activity of people walking by and it is busier on SMB when cruisers head over to the Royal Palms for a few hours for sun and sand. The condo beach is cordoned off for residents and guests though which is nice. Sandy Beach and clear water right out front which is nice. (You can't say the same for every ocean front place on SMB). Walking distance to shops and food. The condo is approx. 1/3 of the way from the road so there is no road noise. It is also on the east side so there is no noise from the Royal Palms bar that other have complained about. You do have a water view from the living/back porch area. We cooked breakfast and made lunch each day. Plenty of dishes although a whisk and mixing bowl would have been helpful (We used the Pyrex baking dish and manual beater instead). The washer and dryer were a help even if just drying beach towels each day. Pack some detergent pods and dryer sheets. There was some kind of jet ski competition at the Royal Palms on a Saturday afternoon so there was a period of personal water craft buzzing by which was kind of annoying. Luckily it was only one afternoon. Much more low key than the Marriott Beach though. We brought a portable beach cabana with us since we are sun sensitive but we were appreciative of the 8 ft beach umbrella located in the condo unit. The beach ones were typically "claimed" by 8am each day so don't rely on getting one for shade. We didn't have to hurry then and we came an went as we pleased each day. We also brought a collapsible cooler in our luggage but it wasn't needed as the condo had a soft sided cooler under the sink. When the staff checks in with you the first day, make sure you look around before saying everything is fine. We were there when the office was closed for 3 days so we had to go out and buy toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent. etc. Not sure what supplies really come with the condo, if any. No problem with the WIFI, TV or assigned parking. We'd stay here again."

  • 5/5

  • Affordable, practical, comfortable beach apt

"This condo apt is located in a residential area, steps away from the beach - a local kite surfing and windsurfing spot! - where families can enjoy a great sandy beach just walking distance from the apartment. The apartment itself is comfortable, clean and impecable, with all the conforts of home. We enjoyed being very close to both the Isla Verde area as well as the Condado area; this aprtment has a great location, is managed by great folks and is a great deal for families and groups that dont want to spend too much at an impersonal hotel. This was a great choice for us and highly recommend it if you are looking to be close to the beach and at a strategic location to start exploring Puerto Rico!"

One of the most popular beaches is Playa El Agua. It stretches for a distance of four kilometers and is made up of beautiful sand. Many vacation homes are located on or near this beach so you have easy access to the area attractions. On a sunny day, the beach is a mass of colorful umbrellas that congregate around the beach bars and restaurant areas.

Eating out on Margarita is a treat. The many local restaurants prepare excellent seafood and other national Venezuelan dishes. For those who want to go exploring, the mountainous interior has many nature trails. The La Restinga National Park has a beautiful lagoon where you can explore the mangroves by boat and reach a secluded long beach. Other popular activities on the island include boating, swimming snorkeling and scuba diving. Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a round of golf on the local 18-hole golf course.
