"The one bad thing about Villa Towanda was that it spoiled every other location that my friends and I visited! The views from the villa are incomparable, and the vibe in the house is intimate, relaxed and comfortable. After a day at one of the beaches or out on the water, there was no other place that we wanted to be than Towanda. Period. We cooked in the open kitchen almost every night and sat on the terrace for sunset and moonrise. The view across the bay to Jost is unsettlingly beautiful. I will definitely return. There were so few people at Long Bay beach (just at the bottom of the road!) that it felt like a private beach. No kidding. If you're looking for great restaurants, this may not be the place for you. The Sugar Mill was very good for dinner, and D'Best Cup in Soper's Hole was great for breakfast. Everything else we found was mediocre, but that really didn't matter to us because, as I said, we found we were happiest cooking at home and being mesmerized by the views. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, btw. The owners and managers were extremely kind and helpful as well."

  • Amazing Trip!! Loved the Home! Absolutely gorgeous location. Federico was so helpful.

"My family spent spring break at this lovely home and every day felt like paradise. Federico provided so much information ahead of time that we felt completely at home as soon as we arrived. We rented cars at the airport and drove easily to the location. Federico met us upon arrival and took the time to show us through the house and also around the resort. We drove to the local grocery store for light shopping and took advantage of the several outstanding restaurants in town. The house is wonderful and so comfortable. The beach and pools were amazing! Absolutely gorgeous place and we hope to return again very soon. Federico will be our first call! Thank you for such a wonderful time!"

  • Perfect Relaxation Retreat

"A lovely cabin just off the main south road, quiet but complete with everything you might want - main room living/kitchen, bedroom and bath. Lovely garden surrounding. Two minute walk to the beach where you can use Banana Beach pool and pristine sand beach area. Hostess Karen is a delight, knowledgeable and will help you arrange anything you might need. Nearby store, golf cart rental, tour booking, massages, beach bars, restaurants - everything. We had a wonderful relaxing time."

  • Best Location Facility Snorkling and People

"Stayed here with 3 other best friends who go on a vacation each year together. The unit and condo complex is lovely. Clean, well equipped, on the beach, with a small view from the lovely lanai. The wifi worked great. The beach was awesome. A little rocky in places but plenty of white sand to go in and out of the shallows with great snorkeling. The other guests were lovely to talk with or you could be completely alone if you wanted on your private beach. The Rum Point bar next door was a good diversion if you wanted to walk 100 yards and be with the crowds playing volleyball, having lunch and generally lounging. There is a great tourist store, a water sports rental, a nice restaurant and all right there next door without driving anywhere. Your small beach area was not affected by the crowds on Rum Point. Any outside excursion would pick you up at your dock. We rented our own boat that was a great way to see the attractions like stingray city. We had turtles off our shore, a lobster, stingrays and plenty of fish to see including our coral reefs. I emailed the owner with questions and Wayne got back to me with great info. No worries, we just showed up and everything was set. Very good experience. The only recommendation is to get a car (not hard to drive - but an hour from the airport and 7 miles beach). Stop at the grocery store before you get there, the condo has basic spices and gear but you need at least your food and there aren;t any bigger groceries close by. Get duty free from the US prior to getting there - big savings. Love Love Love this resort and value for money we were amazed at how lucky we were to get it. We looked at east end (way to far out unless you just want to dive). 7 Mile too crowded and just like Daytona and a few other places were expensive or near nothing. This area has the best of everything."

Isla de Margarita is known for its stunning beaches that seem to stretch for miles. There are no less than 50 beaches that are found along Margarita's coastline. One of the most popular beaches is Playa El Agua. It stretches for a distance of four kilometers and is made up of beautiful sand. Many vacation homes are located on or near this beach so you have easy access to the area attractions. On a sunny day, the beach is a mass of colorful umbrellas that congregate around the beach bars and restaurant areas.

Eating out on Margarita is a treat. The many local restaurants prepare excellent seafood and other national Venezuelan dishes. Portions are often generous and the ambience is generally relaxed and festive. For windsurfing, the most popular beach is Playa El Yache due to the consistently good winds that blow there. Margarita is also a duty-free shopping haven. Many goods, such as electrical appliances, chocolate, imported cheeses and whiskeys, can be purchased much cheaper than on the mainland. For those who want to go exploring, the mountainous interior has many nature trails. The La Restinga National Park has a beautiful lagoon where you can explore the mangroves by boat and reach a secluded long beach. Other popular activities on the island include boating, swimming snorkeling and scuba diving. Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a round of golf on the local 18-hole golf course.
