  • Excellent Unit and Location!

"We can't say enough good things about this unit and it's location on the property. Where to start... Sapphire Beach is located on the East End of the island and is within a mile of Red Hook which is packed with great restaurants, bars (Duffy's) and the ferry to St. John. Sapphire Beach in our opinion is the best beach on the island. It has it all...small crowds, great snorkeling, soft sand, shade trees, a snack/drink shack, a pool and a marina with fishing charters, parasailing, sailing charters and PWC's. The best part of all is this unit is located right in front of the best part of the beach. As for the unit...It is located in the "B" building and occupies the top two stories. It is also a corner unit so both the 1st and 2nd floor have a wrap around balcony. The inside of the unit is completely remodeled and very inviting. The 1st floor has a full tile bathroom, kitchen complete with all the appliances, a pull out sleeper sofa and chair, TV, a dining table and a full set of patio furniture on the balcony. On the 2nd floor there is another full tile bath, king bed, pull out sleeper sofa and chair, TV and dresser. There is plenty of storage for your weeks worth of clothes and purchases. You really can't go wrong with this unit. We'll be back soon for sure. If this unit is booked the owners also have a two story corner unit in the F building which overlooks the marina and St. John. Thanks for sharing your paradise with us!"

  • A wonderful place to stay--off the busy Seven Mile Beach

"Yes, it's a bit of a drive North from Seven Mile Beach, but it's less than 7 miles away; so long as you have a car, it's no problem to visit there when you want to enjoy the clear ocean and white sand. But there are great advantages to being in this condo: the condo unit itself is perfect, especially for a family of four. The room layout is great and tile floors are so much better than carpet for the outdoor living. The condo manager is a great guy and knows the island well; he took to the world's best stingray place on the reef and recommended terrific restaurants. There is reef diving right in front of the property. We ate at four restaurants within a 10 minute drive and never had to fight the crowds in Georgetown; it was the best fish we have EVER eaten. For adventure, the Turtle Farm and Dolphin Adventure are both within walking distance--a must for the young and young at heart. We felt this group of condos attracted very nice people, and we enjoyed getting to know the other visitors, many of whom had children the same age as ours. Perhaps best of all, the owners are terrific people and very easy to deal with. We're a great advocate of VRBO, and this is one of our very best experiences."

  • Amazing villa, AMAZING view

"Villa Matija was everything we could ask for. Tom & Jessica were very nice. They met us at the airport on Tortola and led us to the villa. They explained everything we needed to know about the villa and gave us some tips about the island. Road Town and Brewers Bay are close, and just about anywhere else on the island was a reasonable drive. The villa was spotless, had all the modern amenities you would expect in a 7 year old villa, and everything was in great condition. The view of Brewers Bay and Jost Van Dyke from just about anywhere in the villa is absolutely amazing. Thank you, Tom & Jessica, Villa Matija is amazing and we will definitely come back if our travels bring us back to Tortola."

  • October 2014 Trip

"We had 2 families (8 people in total) visiting. What a great place!!! The Suite is very clean, spacious and comfortable. Lots of outdoor seating and steps from Grace Bay! The pool was steps away as well. We enjoyed every minute. I would go back tomorrow. A couple small issues that were addressed immediately. We do wish the Master Bedroom had a ceiling fan - but that is the only small complaint we had. We had 4 kids with us and they were completely happy and entertained. Nicola and staff are very helpful and responsive. The best vacation we have ever had!!!!"
