  • An Anniversary to Remember

"My wife and I spent a week at Daniela's to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was an excellent choice. This unit is perfectly located just a few feet from the ocean and pool. There are so many things to love about Daniela's, such as the window seats, bright colors, island vibe w/decor, but our favorite thing was the hammocks. We had the most relaxing time just talking and reading from the hammocks. Oh btw, no other unit has hammocks. Daniela is great, she was always very responsive and provided all the information we needed for our trip. And we can't say enough about Cathy, Charmaine, Trevor, Kevin and Christie. They were all so warm and welcoming, and despite their busy schedules, they always made time for us. If you're looking for a great place to relax with a beautiful view, clean and comfortable accommodations, a responsive and attentive owner and a helpful and friendly staff, you can't miss with Daniela's."

  • Nine days in Paradise!

"Linga Awile is an amazingly peaceful place. Discovery Bay has, thankfully, not yet been discovered by the mega resorts that are cloning themselves elsewhere in Jamaica. It is a place of sun, sand, warmth and welcome! Jenni was so gracious to let us arrive a day early due to the massive storm that closed down the SE US, and Casita, Cheryl and Deano gave up their day off to welcome us. It only got better from there. The kids spent hours each day in the pool and the adults Linga'd on the Veranda and Gazebo. We all swam in the warm ocean, kayaked and melted in sunshine and 85F. Around the area we enjoyed the caves, horseback riding - into the ocean no less - rafting, and a magical visit to Glistening Waters. We went to local markets and tourist markets, shopped in the local grocery store, and came home each night to a comfortable home, and amazing meals. Don't miss Casita's fried chicken, or coconut moaa, or the talapia! Cheryl kept us in dry towels and dry floors and keeps a spotless house. Deano served us coconut fresh from the tree, every meal, took care of the yard and allowed us the priviledge of getting to know him better in the evening. Moma Casita, Auntie Cheryl and Brother Deano, we have already booked the same time for next year!"

  • Unforgettable, absolutely stunning

"Out Of The Blue Villa is a slice of heaven on earth: everything was beyond my expectations from the exceptional beachfront setting to the beauty of the villa's design to the dizzying array of fresh fruit and delightful traditional Jamaican dishes prepared and served by the incredible staff. The layout of the villa allows for both lounging quietly by yourself and congregating with your fellow guests in spacious common areas, in the sun or shade. The pool sparkles in the sunshine all day long and conveniently offers an umbrella and two chairs for a wonderful way to cool down after beach-combing or hiking the surrounding bluffs while enjoying unobstructed water views. Though my boyfriend and I stayed at Out Of The Blue with six other friends and certainly enjoyed our group time, we also found it incredibly romantic, easily finding adventures to embark on together off the property or simply listening to the waves crash upon the shore while swinging lazily in the totally cool canoe-turned-loveseat on the veranda. Thoughtful highlights include a sound system with speakers wired outside to enjoy your tunes, well-stocked and perfectly situated outdoor bar with ice machine (a true necessity!), funky outdoor driftwood rinsing station to avoid bringing the beach into the villa with you, and of course, the incredible staff who went above and beyond for each of us every day: not having to rinse a plate, make a bed, or do laundry certainly heightened my sense of being in paradise! At the owner's recommendation, we checked out the Appleton Rum Estate tour, YS Falls, and rented a boat from Treasure Beach to take us out to the Pelican Bar - all of which I highly recommend. The only meal we had outside of the villa was at Jake's on Treasure Beach, also recommended by the owner and an absolute must in my books. My Villa experience was exceptional and has left a lasting impression; without a doubt, I would return to Out Of The Blue in a heartbeat!"

  • Perfect Birthday Getaway!

"My 60th birthday was at the end of December and we spent a wonderful week at Great Escape. What an awesome way to celebrate this milestone. My husband and I met friends on 12/28 at the Jamaica airport and thanks to Mark's tip, we were expedited thru customs by VIP Attractions (the extra $50 was SOOOOO worth it). The ride to Great Escape was a treat, with Rambo driving and being an entertaining tour guide. We made quick stop at the market in Montego Bay to stock up on snacks and adult beverages and then a stop at Border Jerk for some great chicken. What a wonderful start to an amazing vacation. The Villa was even better than we expected. Two bedrooms and two baths and a great pool (expertly maintained by Nevil) at the main house and the clubhouse at the beach was PERFECT for watching the sunset!! And Wifi!!!!! Shane prepared delicious meals for us and his rum punch should be bottled! We took a few (not many) trips to nearby attractions -- Frankly, being at the Villa was so perfect, we really didn't feel the desire to go anywhere. We did take a boat trip to the Pelican Bar and down the Black River to Sister Lou's......Captain Ted was amazing! The sea was quite choppy, but he navigated the small boat expertly. Pansy cleaned for us every day and even did some laundry for us. All and all, the combo of the villa, the staff and the laid back Jamaican culture made for a PERFECT birthday!!!"
