  • We should have stayed here!

"I stayed at Natania's in 2006, 2007, 2008 and I loved it! Great views, nice accommodations, lovely people and Vern was wonderful...everything was wonderful! When I returned in 2014 I wanted to stay in Ocho Rios and it was OK but I should have made a reservation and stayed at Natania's. When you find a good thing you gotta stick with it! When we come back it's Vern and Natania's for me!"

  • The Best

"When was the last time you returned home from vacation with suitcases full of clean freshly laundered clothing? This is one of the perks we experienced at Blow Hole (thank you Annette). Every evening beds are turned down mosquito netting draped about (don’t know why never saw a bug!). You fall asleep with the sea breeze swirling thru the bedroom two complete glass walls open hearing the crash of the waves on the rocks below. Activities; Danny will drive you everywhere, you can do the regular stuff; swimming with dolphins,, Dunn River Falls, Zip Lining, Sea Do etc or… if lucky watch Hawk Beak sea turtles hatch, crawl to the ocean & swim away as your cheer them on. Swim or snorkel twice a day in your own back yard, learn how to bait, catch (in your front yard) then fish with hermit crabs, gather chicken eggs from Danny’s chickens, catch a ride with one of the local fishermen continuously trolling past Blow Hole dropping his crab and fish pots along the coast. I was a fisherman/helper for a few hours one morning learning so much about his Jamaica. It was fun seeing Bond Beach, Golden Eye Beach and the coast from ocean view. In case you are wondering Blow Hole is THE most beautiful property. Going to market with Pauline seeing all the local beautiful fruits, vegetables & spices watching her barter with the merchants so much fun. Eating Patties!! Food; Oh my word can Pauline cook! After arriving Pauline interviews you ask your likes and dislikes, any food allergies what time you want your meals served!! Yes the table is set; sit on the veranda with an unbelievable ocean view, Annette serves and removes the dishes, three times a day. Almost forgot Pauline’s before dinner cocktails; rum punch, Pina Colada are out of this world. Janine truly has thought of everything to make your stay memorable but the best thing about our stay was the staff we were privileged to eat with them, share stories of their families and ours growing up in the states and Jamaica. If you are the private sort I bet you would never see the staff we simply threw ourselves upon them from day one and were lucky enough they opened their big Jamaican hearts and loved us up."

  • Better than advertised!

"The owners of Sea Rose Villa are modest about their beautiful home, and the photos just don't do it justice! If you're looking for a more authentic Jamaican vacation, this is the way to do it! We stayed at a resort last time, and though it was terrific too, this is a much more relaxing vacation. The staff accommodated our schedule instead of us being subject to the resort requirements to control a "herd". The Villa is set in a peaceful neighborhood in the middle of a beautiful and peaceful garden. Flowers, fruit trees and grass along with the sound of the ocean from just across the street makes Sea Rose a lovely place to return home to after a busy day of doing "whatever the heck we want!" Runaway Bay is easy access to Ocho Rios attractions, but you can choose to stay away on cruise ship days. So far (as I write, we're still in paradise), we've visited Mystic Mountain (which is beautifully done - and my daughter says it was "the best day of my life"), but is definately pricey!! We also did ATV tours with Wilderness Tours combined with Dunn's River Falls. I highly recommend them! About half the price of anyone else, extreme personal attention, and they only ATV tour around that allowed our 7 year old to ride. We were also treated to a driving tour by "Teacher", the Sea Rose Driver, to and around Ocho Rios. Adessa cooks AMAZING food in somehow just exactly the right portions. We feel satisfied without being bloated and miserable while trying to enjoy the island. The house feels just enormous with four private decks. We've opted to eat breakfast outside every morning, which is total bliss. The evening is definately mosquito time, though! Better to dine in the large ding room. We've enjoyed having our iPods/iPhones hooked up to the music system in the main room, and just lounging on our gorgeous front porch. More than anything, interacting with the locals and making fast friends around the neighborhood has been a total treat. Dining requests and times have been handled with "no problem". Also, the master bedroom with a CalKing bed is HUGE! With two outdoor decks and the breeze blowing through all of the screened windows, it's just a treat! The air conditioning units in the bedrooms really pump out the cool air and make a perfect amount of noise for great sleep. If you're looking for either a quiet romantic vacation or a laid back family vacation, the Sea Rose Villa is an incredibly economic AND beautiful way to go about it!"

  • Best house in Silver Sands

"I’ve been coming to Silver Sands for almost 20 years. In that time, I have stayed at several different homes…until I found Seagull Cottage. Now, we only stay at Seagull. Let me tell you why. The owner of the house is meticulous in how she takes care of the home. It feels like a real home at the beach, rather than a hotel or random vacation rental. Seagull is in a prime location in the Silver Sands property. The views from the front veranda are beautiful and sweeping, with a perfect sea breeze all day. The house is spacious and we love the updates we see every year, the turquoise tile in the renovated bathroom, the new local Jamaican art work on the walls, and the additions to the book collection, which are perfect beach reads. Now, the best parts of course, are the ladies who work there, Cheryl and Molly. They are generous, sweet and kind and wonderful with our two young daughters. They cook like a dream and we are picky with our food and have dietary restrictions. I also tend to visit for my birthday, and they never fails to make it feel extra special with their great cooking, and lovely birthday cake. There are other newer, bigger homes at Silver Sands, but I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now that I have found Seagull. If you are looking for a truly relaxing vacation, comfortable, welcoming beach cottage with amazing views – then you will love Seagull."

Jamaica Travel Tips

Jamaica Resorts Offer Easy Access to Breathtaking Views, Local Art and Relaxing Waters

Jamaica is a popular Caribbean destination that may be reached via air or cruise. There are plenty of sights to see and local traditions to absorb during your stay regardless of how you get there. Jamaica resorts offer access to scenic waterfalls, caves, rainforests and tropical wildlife, as well as local artwork, shops and dining opportunities.

Reserve Jamaica Resorts and Relax in the Sun

Staying in Jamaica villas means you’ll have the best of both worlds. You’ll be able to explore local natural wonders, then retire to one of the many Caribbean resorts for a restful night’s sleep. Enjoy your own private getaway on the beach, and nap in the sun as often as you like.

Rent Jamaica Villas near Local Attractions

Visitors love to tour limestone caves, waterfalls and even mineral springs near Jamaica resorts. Many of the springs are purported to have healing properties, and can be found on a simple hike through the local national forests and parks. Some Jamaica villas may also be available further inland near these natural phenomena if you prefer something a little more secluded. Many Caribbean resorts offer information on local tours and schedules so that you can plan your own adventure in the local outback!

Absorb the Local Culture and Rest at Caribbean Resorts

When you feel like simply exploring the local villages around Jamaica resorts, you can stroll along the shops and search for gifts and souvenirs to take back home with you. Try to find a local restaurant to partake in traditional cuisine for a special treat too.

Many items the locals are selling around Jamaica villas are actually handmade by island natives, so it’s not like anything you can find back at home. Don’t forget to reserve your space at Caribbean resorts to explore as much of this beautiful island as you possibly can during your stay!
