"Just spent a fabulous week at Linga Awile....could have lingered longer. Took the whole family, from 2-82 and everyone had a ball! We were so well taken care of. The bonfire on the beach on the last night was a huge hit. It went from a blast for the kids to a bit romantic for the adults. Cheers to grandma. Can't wait to return...won't be long."

"Golden Sun Villa is summed up in one word: AMAZING!
We went to Jamaica on our honeymoon hoping for a romantic getaway. Before our trip started the owner emailed us a full list of activities to do and things to know when there. All of the recommendations were great and saved us a lot of time looking into things to do. He answered all of our specific questions and was a pleasure to deal with in all regards.
Once we got to Jamaica we rented a car and had a beautiful one hour drive to the villa. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and Franz the grounds keeper showed us around the gorgeous grounds. Larna the cook was exceptionally helpful and very kind. We had her purchase all of our food before getting there, so we arrived to a fully stocked fridge, with delicious fruits, and enough food for her to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us for the week stay. Chelsea the housekeeper/maid was a delight as well. She cleaned up after us so we never had to lift a finger. She even made a floral arrangement on our bed every morning, very tropical!
The house is very spacious with a cozy master bedroom. The lounge area has a TV with couches around to hang out after a long day out. The absolute best part of the villa is the backyard. It has an unbelievably scenic background with the ocean crashing against the shore and palm trees blowing in the wind. Our favorite part of the backyard is the stunning pool. We would stay outside for hours at night swimming under thousands of sparkling stars. It is truly a spectacular sight we won’t soon forget.
Other notable parts of the grounds was the all you can eat sea grapes that grow next to the house, the almond tree on the grounds which we got to eat from, and the total privacy we had.
We had the time of our lives there and hope others can enjoy it as well. If you are planning a trip to Jamaica I would definitely recommend staying here."

"We took a girls trip here in July & had an amazing trip! Our goal was to getaway from it all and relax. We spent the days at the pool & beach, snorkeling, kayaking & laying in the hammock. There are lots of amenities (wifi, basketball court, snorkel gear, kayaks and life jackets, TVs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, toiletries, etc). Each bedroom has its our bathroom. The staff are wonderful & very accommodating. They are knowledgable, kind & took great care of us! We didn't lift a finger all week. This place is away from it all, quiet & relaxing. It is about 40-50 minutes from the airport, so not near tourist traps if you are looking for that. Home is large & spacious. The owner is very responsive & answered all of our questions quickly & efficiently, even scheduled our airport transfers. We would definitely consider coming back here. We did bring some of the groceries ourselves & would probably bring more with us next time but there is a grocery close."

"Sea Grapes is about as nice a vacation house as you can get – in Jamaica or
anywhere. It’s a large beautiful house that sleeps a large number of
people. The grounds and the views are nothing short of spectacular.
It’s hard not to want to spend all your time lounging in the hammocks,
overlooking a magnificent view of Discovery Bay. But if one wants to be
active, there’s plenty to do. Sea Grapes keeps a fleet of kayaks for
the guests to explore the bay in. One can dive off the wooden dock and
explore the sea life with snorkeling gear also kept on the premises.
There’s also a pool, a badminton court, a basketball court, and a
well-maintained tennis court.
All of this means that guests could be perfectly happy, never leaving
the compound (where the staff makes sure that everyone is always very
safe-feeling). But I particularly liked that, unlike some villas in
Jamaica, it’s easy to take walks and partake in the local life of the
region. A short walk down Fortlands road will take you to a collection of
mainly locals beach bar shacks. Walk a little further and you can attend a
rollicking church service if you so inclined. (I did and felt very
welcomed.) A little further still is the town of Discovery Bay with
grocery stores, a crumbling old wharf and two island-renown jerk
restaurants down the road. There are also beautiful empty natural coves to
The very best part staying at Sea Grapes, however, is the staff.
Robbie, Blossom, and Laralee makes guests feel like kings and queens, and
are fun to hang out with at the same time. And Kurlene the cook’s food
is, well…the best food in the world.
All in all, a magical place."
