  • Long overdue getaway

"My best friend and I haven't been on Jamaican in over 5 years. And staying at this property never disappoints us. Our housekeeper cooked us the best authentic Jamaican dinner ever. Everything is convenient and walking distance away. The sunset view and the view of the beachfront were AMAZING!!!!!!! You feel so at home that you don't want to leave at the end of your trip. 😢😢😢😢 My favorite vacation destination spot and home away from home. I will stay here again and again and again!!!!!!! 💙💚💛💜❤"

  • Wonderfully relaxing, practically perfect in every way

"If you are looking for a quiet Jamaican get away in a superior natural setting with pampered but unobtrusive service, Coconut Cottage should be on your list. The owners will help you get car service from Montego Bay airport, and we recommend getting a driver for your whole stay. A few miles outside of MB, you'll find an unmarked driveway that leads past some fields with a few pigs, goats, chickens, etc, and comes to a secure, gated additional driveway that houses the Cottage. We took an extended family group of 11 and had a truly wonderful experience. A staff of 5 provides excellent food -- we asked for and got "food like the locals" -- including goat curry, several kinds of fish, jerk chicken, and truly fresh fruit (mangos are much better than in the US). The staff is very friendly, and happy to chat and be available while also demonstrating a good sense of when guests desire space and quiet. We spent part of our week simply enjoying the property, and also going across the road to Round Hill (great snorkeling and a fun Friday night show), and another part of our week touring the Island, with the same driver using a large van. The staff was also able to arrange a bicycle for me, so I could work off a few of the great calories. There is great walking up the hill and also mountain biking type terrain. There is a stunning ocean view from the living room and pool area, and the house includes up to date audiovisual and an ample variety of fun board games. The property lent itself to our family having individual times to ourselves as well as group events. There is plenty of both indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. This ends up being much more economical and relaxing than simply staying at Round Hill or another place with lots of other folks. If you want to people watch, just go across the street or into town! The property was always clean, the descriptions provided by the owners are accurate, and we definitely recommend this place and will be back."

  • Shirley From Alabama

"This condo was an excellent choice for me and my sister. We stayed for a week and was very comfortable. The condo has very nice furniture, the king sized bed was so nice. Not to mention the owners are super nice people. I thank God for having the honor to meet them, and gaining a new friend. Would I recommend this condo?? HIGHLY..!!! I am already making plans to return. Yes to the same condo.!!! The location is perfect, to the shopping, partying, restaurants etc. Oh and it has a sea view from balcony. Thanks so much to the owners for trusting me with your home away from home. My son says thanks again for the popcorn. Hope to see you again. Shirley from Alabama!!!"

  • Wonderful people, as well as a great home for your enjoyment!

"Miss Veronica was a joy to deal with in making arrangements, since we went off season, she did make some adjustments to the cost, which frankly allowed us to be able to stay a couple more days. She is very responsive to all your emails. Do not change money at the airport...wait to go into Duncans or change only a small amount for a day while you settle in. We had the pleasure of meeting Johnny, who was our driver and guide while there. He was very punctual, not to mention kept his vehicle very clean. If you make arrangements for him to take you somewhere, be sure to agree on cost prior to your excursion. He was gracious in taking us to the store close to the airport when we arrived, that store had many "American" items however, I would recommend taking to Miss Iris to plan meals before buying too much stuff. This place is kept in immaculate condition. Ms. Veronica has a keen eye for picking the best staff! Our vacation would not have been as rich had it not been for Miss Iris, who made all of our meals (which were outstanding); shared local traditions; as well as suggested things to do. I left feeling like I had a new family member. If you get the chance to have Miss Sandra cook for you, her jerk chicken was much better then the restaurants. Lest I not forget to mention Mr. Curtis who took care of the grounds and always had a smile to share, as well as stories about Jamaica. I would recommend sending a shopping list in advance of your arrival, although Miss Iris did a great job of having somethings on hand. Make sure you buy PLENTY of bottled water, you will need it, Also try the High Mountain coffee, 1/2 the price of Blue Mountain coffee, yet the same flavor. Anything you need or want, talk to Miss Iris, she can let you know where to get the best of everything while saving you money. There are local beachcombers who sell handmade wood carvings which were greatly appreciated when I returned. The beach is beautiful and pristine. Make sure you hit Leroy's down the beach at night for some reggae/drinks-they are a family run business who welcomes people with open arms. Make sure you travel with a group at night...this is a third world country in a depressed economic condition. We were two women alone, so had to be very aware of our surroundings. Miss Iris; Johnny and Mr. Curtis all made sure we were safe and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend this villa for your stay, as I plan to be back sooner rather than later."
