"Armed with my fancy Nikon and two friends I came to celebrate my 40th birthday. What I didn't know is I would spend my evenings starring...awed by the sunset that my 64gb memory came back home barely used. My friends and I had never vacationed together. Seagrape delivered the ultimate comfort that we all were at ease. Well mannered and efficient staff. Clean accomodation. Well manicured gardens privacy from other villas. The private cliff access to the sea made you feel like you were in a millionaire beach mansion in Malindi. We were graced by Dolphins about 100 feet from our cliff. There were maps and directions to remove any rum induced fog. Walking distance to the Rick's cafe and short drive to the 7mile beach...if you find it in you to leave the residence. There were a few rainy days.....all 15 mins of it were welcome to calm down the heat for the evening. Juicy was timely with his meals as requested and cook he can. Thank you for the fresh flower arrangements in each room.....something about the bougainvallea. Only regret is that we did not stay longer. A definate must do again vacation and am bringing my family along this time."

Can't say enough about how awesome Great Escape is!
"If you want a vacation surrounded by beauty where you can visit a Jamaica that you will never find in a resort, with staff who are kind, genuine and, well, simply wonderful, then this is the place for you. This was our third time in Jamaica, but our first outside of a resort.
Mark (the owner) was great. We actually had to change our dates due to medical issues, and he had no problem with that.
We only went on a few excursions that Shane arranged for us. Highly recommend Captain Ted for a Black River tour with a stop at Sister Lou's and the Pelican Bar. Also did Lover's Leap with a late lunch at Jack Sprats. Rambo did the driving for us.
We definitely plan to come again. Hopefully for our son's college graduation in 2017. Shane said he'd show him fishing Jamaican style. :)"

"This was a last minute booking but the owners went above and beyond to insure our trip was stress free. Unexpected to us, Leslie the butler met us at the airport with the driver, and made it his mission to take care for the rest of the week. The owners who live in Florida appear to be very involved in the management of the property and it shows.
We arrived to chilled towels and met the rest of the 7 person staff who greeted us with “welcome home”. They endeavored to satisfy us in every way possible for balance of our stay. Never intrusive, always friendly, and available day and night, they quietly went about their daily routines in keeping the Villa and grounds in top shape.
As they say, the best Chef’s on the island are found in the better villas and Bambu's Peaches is the best we have experienced in multiple villa stays over 20 years of visits to Jamaica. Leslie joked our first night that the meals would progressively get better each day, but we found every dinner to be equally exceptional.
We opted to enjoy all of our meals in the open air dining pavilion which afforded excellent views over to Montego Bay both day and night. Other options included a formal dining room as well as a beautiful terrace area on the ocean facing corner of the property. Peaches’ multi course creations were always served by Leslie, each meal served on a different and unique place setting. All meals were restaurant quality!
The villa itself is unique for the area…a blend of Caribbean Architecture (roof lines) with some old world Italian inspired features (arches; iron work) including the statues around the swimming pool which may remind some of a roman spa, or at least the Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace (Vegas Edition).
The show stopper is the grounds. Multiple levels of well-manicured lawns, fruit trees, palms, dotted with fountains and quiet spaces. Well placed Royal Palms towering over the roof tops give the property a true paradise feel. Not a bad view anywhere. In addition to the usual “free range” island foul, the owner’s love of animals is present on their island estate. The “Arc” as I called it included roaming bunnies, a few peacocks, a friendly Great Dane Pup, goats, and even a parrot who added to the menagerie.
The pictures do not do the place justice. We were two and more than comfortable, but Bambu easily works for multiple couples or a larger family because of the many “hiding places” affording on demand quiet time.
5 Star Experience"
