  • Unforgettable, absolutely stunning

"Out Of The Blue Villa is a slice of heaven on earth: everything was beyond my expectations from the exceptional beachfront setting to the beauty of the villa's design to the dizzying array of fresh fruit and delightful traditional Jamaican dishes prepared and served by the incredible staff. The layout of the villa allows for both lounging quietly by yourself and congregating with your fellow guests in spacious common areas, in the sun or shade. The pool sparkles in the sunshine all day long and conveniently offers an umbrella and two chairs for a wonderful way to cool down after beach-combing or hiking the surrounding bluffs while enjoying unobstructed water views. Though my boyfriend and I stayed at Out Of The Blue with six other friends and certainly enjoyed our group time, we also found it incredibly romantic, easily finding adventures to embark on together off the property or simply listening to the waves crash upon the shore while swinging lazily in the totally cool canoe-turned-loveseat on the veranda. Thoughtful highlights include a sound system with speakers wired outside to enjoy your tunes, well-stocked and perfectly situated outdoor bar with ice machine (a true necessity!), funky outdoor driftwood rinsing station to avoid bringing the beach into the villa with you, and of course, the incredible staff who went above and beyond for each of us every day: not having to rinse a plate, make a bed, or do laundry certainly heightened my sense of being in paradise! At the owner's recommendation, we checked out the Appleton Rum Estate tour, YS Falls, and rented a boat from Treasure Beach to take us out to the Pelican Bar - all of which I highly recommend. The only meal we had outside of the villa was at Jake's on Treasure Beach, also recommended by the owner and an absolute must in my books. My Villa experience was exceptional and has left a lasting impression; without a doubt, I would return to Out Of The Blue in a heartbeat!"

  • Sheer relaxation at Anticipation

"Anticipation is an incredible place to spend a vacation! We enjoyed the finest food, relaxed by the pool and beach. Our staff took care of us like we were family. None of us wanted this week to end!"

  • Wonderful people, as well as a great home for your enjoyment!

"Miss Veronica was a joy to deal with in making arrangements, since we went off season, she did make some adjustments to the cost, which frankly allowed us to be able to stay a couple more days. She is very responsive to all your emails. Do not change money at the airport...wait to go into Duncans or change only a small amount for a day while you settle in. We had the pleasure of meeting Johnny, who was our driver and guide while there. He was very punctual, not to mention kept his vehicle very clean. If you make arrangements for him to take you somewhere, be sure to agree on cost prior to your excursion. He was gracious in taking us to the store close to the airport when we arrived, that store had many "American" items however, I would recommend taking to Miss Iris to plan meals before buying too much stuff. This place is kept in immaculate condition. Ms. Veronica has a keen eye for picking the best staff! Our vacation would not have been as rich had it not been for Miss Iris, who made all of our meals (which were outstanding); shared local traditions; as well as suggested things to do. I left feeling like I had a new family member. If you get the chance to have Miss Sandra cook for you, her jerk chicken was much better then the restaurants. Lest I not forget to mention Mr. Curtis who took care of the grounds and always had a smile to share, as well as stories about Jamaica. I would recommend sending a shopping list in advance of your arrival, although Miss Iris did a great job of having somethings on hand. Make sure you buy PLENTY of bottled water, you will need it, Also try the High Mountain coffee, 1/2 the price of Blue Mountain coffee, yet the same flavor. Anything you need or want, talk to Miss Iris, she can let you know where to get the best of everything while saving you money. There are local beachcombers who sell handmade wood carvings which were greatly appreciated when I returned. The beach is beautiful and pristine. Make sure you hit Leroy's down the beach at night for some reggae/drinks-they are a family run business who welcomes people with open arms. Make sure you travel with a group at night...this is a third world country in a depressed economic condition. We were two women alone, so had to be very aware of our surroundings. Miss Iris; Johnny and Mr. Curtis all made sure we were safe and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend this villa for your stay, as I plan to be back sooner rather than later."

  • Much more than a vacation...

"We came to Jamaica to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and could never have imagined that we could have a vacation like this! Karen's home and the community that surrounds it is an incredible place to retreat and rejuvenate. Whether relaxing at home in a hammock, on the beach, at Juliet's (the BEST chicken) or Leroy's (great bar on the water) you are sure to be in an open and friendly environment. Ms. Annette is an incredible woman and she is very connected to her community. She prepared the most delicious, fresh from the farm and ocean, beautiful meals for us along with being an honest and resourceful guide for our adventures. Johnny provided us with safe rides all over the island and was keen to our interests. Being able to visit with fishermen, farmers and enjoy delicious meals while traveling between our home base and our destinations was something that was unexpected and will always be a highlight to our time in Jamaica. We can't wait to come back!!"
