"We stayed at Mark's villa for two weeks and it has been the best holiday we have had in quite a while. The villa itself is in a peaceful location just outside Treasure Beach. The club house on the beach has a bedroom and bathroom which is cute and the fact that they wasn't aircon was not a problem. The staff were more than willing to help with anything you needed. Special thanks to Rambo for all the driving we had loads of trips out to see all sorts of attractions, Rum Factories, waterfalls, spa baths etc and trips into Treasure beach when we fancied a night our from the villa, and to Shaun for the wonderful meals just say what you would like and off Shaun goes and comes back with the receipts and all the ingredients for some wonderful meals, the best by far was the barbecued pork and seeing him club a tree to snap off the dead wood was a sight in itself. The communication with Mark was very easy and fast and the whole process was smooth and trouble free. I would highly recommend Great Escape. Julia Thornton and family. (husband, two grown children and their partners)."Guest: Juls Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 25, 2014View listing
"Hi Jennifer. I just wanted to email to let you know how fantastic everything was! Our driver, Webby, got us off to a great start by taking us out to lunch in Montego Bay and we had a great conversation on the way to Ochi. Beverly and Carlos were at the condo to greet us and welcome us in. The condo itself was breathtaking. Everything was spotless. The entire space was beautifully decorated. The pictures online don't do it justice! The view was perfect. It felt like home. Beverly surprised us with pumpkin soup as part of our first meal and we were all so excited (we love food)! Every meal she cooked was amazing. We never left the table hungry or unsatisfied. Carlos was very helpful with whatever we needed. Webby was the perfect fit for our group since he's our age and he knew exactly where to take us when we wanted to have fun or just relax. We never had to wait for him, he just seemed to magically appear whenever we were ready. I've already told several people how great our stay was. I would recommend Santa Maria with 100% confidence to anyone wanting to stay in Jamaica. We very much look forward to staying there again! Please feel free to post this to your website. Thanks again!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 21, 2014View listing
"We have just spent Christmas at Rainbow Tree and feel lucky to have experienced such a wonderful holiday. We went as two families with children aged 6 - 13 years. The house was perfect, giving us all the space we needed to relax, and had an amazing veranda that served up the most incredible views (the owner wasn't wrong when he said you could pretty much live on the veranda - we did!). Waking up everyday to the most beautiful view of the sea and the beach was great for the soul. And ending each day with the most spectacular sunsets and a sky bursting with stars was incredible (the Skywalk app was in full use as we wanted to know what each star and constellation was!) The perfect blend of pool, beach and excursions (courtesy of Aman) kept everyone entertained for two whole weeks. We had so many amazing experiences from jumping into crystal clear rivers from rope swings to eating some of the best jerk pork to having a bonfire on the beach. Visiting the Pelican Bar, YS Falls and driving through St Elizabeth took us to another world. But what really made this holiday a holiday with a difference were the amazing people we had the fortune to meet, who treated us as their guests and who gave us a true taste of Jamaica - in particular we'd like to thank Aman, Miss Laura, Miss Jenny and Calvin and also Shane, Ritchie and OShayne and the fabulous children of Treasure Beach with their smiles and energy. Treasure Beach and Rainbow Tree offers an unspoilt view of the world and has definitely made us start 2014 with a 100% positive outlook on life - love and respect x"Guest: Kellie Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 2, 2014View listing
"Miss Veronica was a joy to deal with in making arrangements, since we went off season, she did make some adjustments to the cost, which frankly allowed us to be able to stay a couple more days. She is very responsive to all your emails. Do not change money at the airport...wait to go into Duncans or change only a small amount for a day while you settle in. We had the pleasure of meeting Johnny, who was our driver and guide while there. He was very punctual, not to mention kept his vehicle very clean. If you make arrangements for him to take you somewhere, be sure to agree on cost prior to your excursion. He was gracious in taking us to the store close to the airport when we arrived, that store had many "American" items however, I would recommend taking to Miss Iris to plan meals before buying too much stuff. This place is kept in immaculate condition. Ms. Veronica has a keen eye for picking the best staff! Our vacation would not have been as rich had it not been for Miss Iris, who made all of our meals (which were outstanding); shared local traditions; as well as suggested things to do. I left feeling like I had a new family member. If you get the chance to have Miss Sandra cook for you, her jerk chicken was much better then the restaurants. Lest I not forget to mention Mr. Curtis who took care of the grounds and always had a smile to share, as well as stories about Jamaica. I would recommend sending a shopping list in advance of your arrival, although Miss Iris did a great job of having somethings on hand. Make sure you buy PLENTY of bottled water, you will need it, Also try the High Mountain coffee, 1/2 the price of Blue Mountain coffee, yet the same flavor. Anything you need or want, talk to Miss Iris, she can let you know where to get the best of everything while saving you money. There are local beachcombers who sell handmade wood carvings which were greatly appreciated when I returned. The beach is beautiful and pristine. Make sure you hit Leroy's down the beach at night for some reggae/drinks-they are a family run business who welcomes people with open arms. Make sure you travel with a group at night...this is a third world country in a depressed economic condition. We were two women alone, so had to be very aware of our surroundings. Miss Iris; Johnny and Mr. Curtis all made sure we were safe and well cared for. I would absolutely recommend this villa for your stay, as I plan to be back sooner rather than later."Guest: Michelle Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 15, 2014View listing
Jamaica Travel Tips
Jamaica Resorts Offer Easy Access to Breathtaking Views, Local Art and Relaxing Waters
Jamaica is a popular Caribbean destination that may be reached via air or cruise. There are plenty of sights to see and local traditions to absorb during your stay regardless of how you get there. Jamaica resorts offer access to scenic waterfalls, caves, rainforests and tropical wildlife, as well as local artwork, shops and dining opportunities.
Reserve Jamaica Resorts and Relax in the Sun
Staying in Jamaica villas means you’ll have the best of both worlds. You’ll be able to explore local natural wonders, then retire to one of the many Caribbean resorts for a restful night’s sleep. Enjoy your own private getaway on the beach, and nap in the sun as often as you like.
Rent Jamaica Villas near Local Attractions
Visitors love to tour limestone caves, waterfalls and even mineral springs near Jamaica resorts. Many of the springs are purported to have healing properties, and can be found on a simple hike through the local national forests and parks. Some Jamaica villas may also be available further inland near these natural phenomena if you prefer something a little more secluded. Many Caribbean resorts offer information on local tours and schedules so that you can plan your own adventure in the local outback!
Absorb the Local Culture and Rest at Caribbean Resorts
When you feel like simply exploring the local villages around Jamaica resorts, you can stroll along the shops and search for gifts and souvenirs to take back home with you. Try to find a local restaurant to partake in traditional cuisine for a special treat too.
Many items the locals are selling around Jamaica villas are actually handmade by island natives, so it’s not like anything you can find back at home. Don’t forget to reserve your space at Caribbean resorts to explore as much of this beautiful island as you possibly can during your stay!
