"We just came back (yesterday) from the most wonderful stay at the Villa. Everything was outstanding from the staff, gorgeous home, beautiful setting, immaculate kept rooms, delicious meals. Nadine and all the staff were the most helpful, warm, happy people, they could not do enough for the 18 of us that were there to celebrate my brother in laws 50th. Thank you all for making our celebration so special, we look forward to another visit very soon."Guest: debbie z. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 11, 2014View listing
"My husband and I rented a room in the villa for a week and ended up having the entire house to ourselves. This was perfect as I was recovering from a back injury and just wanted to sleep, swim, sun and walk on the beach. That's exactly what we did. We were greeted by the man that watches the house and cleans the pool. He saw us coming via the security cameras. He checked in on us but didn't interfere with our privacy at all. We never called or used the housekeeper/cook. The rooms are large and nicely decorated, although some bedspreads are about due to be replaced, more from being more outdated than being too worn. All of the bathrooms had brand new towel sets, however, and everything is nicely tiled, and painted. We ended up using the large room upstairs (Room 1) that had A/C, a huge balcony overlooking the front yard. While all rentals have some "quirks," I didn't find any of them with this house to be a deal breaker. Our bathroom was spacious, had a double sink, a tiled "regular" shower, AND one of those shower units with multiple shower heads and a steam option. While the steam option worked, the only shower head that worked was the handheld one but it was all very clean. One review I read mentioned this bathroom as being dark and dingy. I didn't see that at all. The pool was cool and sparkling clean the entire time. The back of the house, where the pool is, was a great place to sun and swim. I knew going in that it wasn't beachfront but was slightly disappointed to only be able to see the beach from the kitchen window because trees block the view, you get what you pay for and it was still great! The beaches on this part of the island have sandy shorelines but have huge rocks out in the water. There is a small cove for swimming a few minutes walk from the house. For those of you who can't "disconnect" from the outside world, the wifi worked pretty well. The TV's get a few channels. The kitchens had decent dishes and cookware. We ate at home during the day and walked down to Jakes or someplace else for dinner. This is a VERY safe area, so don't be afraid to get out and around. I can't wait to rent the entire house and take my entire family down. Get brave and rent a car for your stay. The cost to be picked up at the airport is more than a rental for the week. Jamaican's are awesome at helping you find your way. Then you can explore the island, too! Treasure Beach is natural, casual, quiet and nearly undiscovered. Enjoy!"Guest: Valerie J. "For anyone looking to break away from the crowds and have a luxurious beach retreat, look no further. The home is lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, and the setting quiet and comfortable. We came with 4 people, but the house could easily hold 8, so we had room to spare. The beach is tranquil and steps from the back door. There are no other resorts around, so we had the whole beach and cove to ourselves! All of the household amenities were terrific, though the pool was still under construction and not usable, so that is the only reason it isn't (yet) a 5 star property. We wanted to get away from crowds, and this did the trick. It's a bit of a hike (40 mins drive in either direction) to get to a major city (MoBay or Ocho Rios), so this wouldn't be a good location for folks seeking nightlife, shopping or major tourist attractions."Guest: Court L. "We had a wonderful trip, never been at a staffed home or villa before. We were not sure what to expect, however loved it. Ms. Tiny and Betsy did a wonderful job and keeping the house looking great and the food was wonderful. Lawford took us to the beach many times and does a wonderful job with the BBQ grill. Waking up to that view every morning was a real treat and we were fortunate to have several ships pass by during the day and that was fun to see too. We weren't sure if we should hire the driver, however we did and do not regret it. We were not on the go very much, but it was nice to have the flexibility to go when we needed to. We have small children and did make a few trips to the store to keep them happy. We did plan to eat out several evening, however after the first nights meal, it was an easy decision to spend the evening there. This is a very comfortable home and very spacious. We were told that we were the last group that was going to be there before the renovations started, we have know idea why this place needs updating, but we can't wait to return and see the changes. Thank you Doug for all the help and being so easy to talk to (even our goofy questions) You have a great place and we hope to return soon."Guest: Thornton Family Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 24, 2014View listing
