  • Christmas getaway!!

"My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon and first Christmas in Barbados at the Muskoka Cottage. We can't say enough good things about our vacation to Barbados and this includes our accommodations. This cottage was a perfect one bedroom getaway that was close to everything you need, while still offering quiet privacy. The most amazing part is how close it is to some of the most beautiful beaches. This is the perfect spot to stay. Steven, the owner, was a great help with any questions you have and an all around great host. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!"

  • Great Stay

"This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos, specifically North Caicos, so we were not sure what to expect. Our transport to/from was arranged and the rental unit was spacious and everything our family needed. The beach was just steps down the path, people in the community are friendly and welcoming, it was by far a trip to remember. The owners are the most wonderful people and it was definitely hard to leave. This will not be the last time we come, I can't wait to visit again!"

  • Fantastic Villa!!! :)

"Let me start by saying that we Love Love Loved the Villa!!! It is Fantastic. The pictures don't do it justice and it is just wonderful. We got to stay for 17 days. The rooms are huge and everything is so nicely done. The beds are very comfortable and you will have everything you need for cooking. Veronica the house keeper is Awesome and very friendly and helpful. Close to everything and walking distance to the beach. The snorkeling gear was great and we got to see tons of cool fish, sea turtles, and manta rays. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful villa with everyone. Highly recommend staying here. We didn't even want to leave and we are already planning our return trip and will defiantly be staying here again."

  • Perfect most relaxing stay!

"My husband and I travel to Puerto Rico twice a year. We have stayed at many places all over the island including Patillas, which is now our favorite area. We decided to book this house because of the beach front location and the pool. We have read many reviews on this property and decided this home fit our needs perfectly. The house was very clean and comfortable and we are outdoor people and spent every moment we could outside enjoying the beautiful, resort-like yard and pool, the sound of the coqui, and the beautiful Caribbean sea. We only left the property a couple of times to eat dinner and once on Sunday to venture to the pork highway via the mountain road. I think we were the only non-Spanish speaking people there but had no problems ordering food and drink and enjoying the party atmosphere. That was quite an adventure but we loved every minute! Sherry, Irene, and Frankie will do anything to make your vacation at this property their top priority. The house has all the comforts of home...we stopped on the way in for groceries and were set for the week. In fact, we saved so much money by stopping at Costco for food and alcohol vs what you would pay staying at a hotel and eating at restaurants, it almost pays for itself. The house, yard and pool were spotless and did I say private? We had the pool day and night all to ourselves! Vacationing here is like going back to original island travel that still holds the charm and rustic feel of a warm and friendly fishing village-all with the backdrop of beautiful mountains on one side and the crystal waters and soothing ocean waves on the other. If you are looking for a week of total relaxation....this is about as close to perfection as it comes. This house is equipped with cable tv and high speed internet and we didn't even use it as we were mesmerized by the sounds of the ocean and the incredible night sky constellations overhead. If you need some adventure....it's centrally-located and a short drive away to the El Yunque rain forest, diving/snorkeling day trips from Fajardo, or the great dining and night life of old San Juan. Sherry, thanks to you and your staff. We can't wait to return. Btw...we got to see many turtle nests on the beach. Our neighbors witnessed a turtle venture in their yard looking for a place to nest one early morning. They showed us pictures the next day. What a beautiful sight!! One more thing...large party? Next door house can be rented together with this house!"

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
