  • Beautiful Villa, Exactly as Expected

"My wife and I stayed 8 days here on our baby moon vacation and found the villa to be a great value. Kitchen is well appointed for cooking meals in, and we made several lizard friends there, just keep it cleaned up or the ants will flock! Washer and dryer were very handy too since we packed light. Access from Centerline road was doable in a Toyota Yaris by just maneuvering around the few high rocks in the access road. We arrived after dark and had no trouble finding it with the clear step by step directions provided. The master bedroom did have a portable air conditioner in it but we found that it had little impact since the windows were only screened. That is the ONLY thing we would have changed, and I'm sure most of the year the temperature is perfect. We just happened to come at the hottest time of year. Even so, the breezes in the open floor plan of the main level were wonderful and kept the afternoon temps comfortable. Wifi worked perfectly for when we needed to look up places to go. Coral Bay in my opinion is the best place to stay if you're planning to spend time exploring the island as you can easily go east, west, or south to most anywhere in <20 minutes. Some rental properties included kayaks and I wish Little Palms had as well but we made due by bringing our inflatable kayak so we could explore and snorkel around Henley Cay, Whistling Cay, Mermaids Chair, and get to the Caneel resort beaches without paying for a rental or admission fees. I'd absolutely recommend the villa to my friends & family!"

  • Magical villa!

"From the moment that we landed on the island of St. Lucia, the staff of the villa made sure that we were comfortable. Our personal driver picked us up and gave us a tour of the island as he drove us to the villa. When we arrived, I was speechless. The home, the view and all of the amenities were beyond perfect! Cynthia (our personal hostess and cook) had a hot meal waiting for us, and we could not have been made to feel more at home. The home is more spacious than the pictures appear online, yet so cozy and naturally decorated so that it just blends in with the natural surrounding landscape. The house opens up to the beautiful treetops and overlooks the sea. You wake up each morning the the sunrise and thousands of birds singing so beautifully- It was like something out of a movie! The house is perfect for a romantic stay or a family vacation. Michael (the owner) provided the most professional and personal customer service prior to, during and after our stay. He made sure our stay was perfect down to each last detail including having champagne (for our anniversary) and specific local beers cold and waiting in the fridge! I have already recommended the villa to many friends, and I am looking forward to returning with more family soon! Michelle and Desalen"

  • A Perfect Vacation

"My family and I (with three children ages 10, 12, and 14) just returned from a seven night stay at the the Tropical Chalet. I highly recommend the Tropical Chalet and Las Galeras if you want to experience a wonderful, safe, fun, carefree vacation. Sarah is wonderful and she and her staff take care of all your needs and will arrange a wide variety of excursions for you at the best prices with wonderful Marcus, our guide. The Cabanas’ grounds are beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. La Playita, the beach within a short walking distance, is near perfect."

  • Peaceful interior and nice to not be at a resort

"Really nice structure and fine location. Our favorite moments of the entire vacation included the wonderfully breezy and fresh mornings in the rental as well as relaxing in the evenings after a long day. Price was very competitive. Only would suggest outfitting the kitchen with more utensils such as a cutting board, colander, and a big skillet."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
