  • Great Vacation

"This house was exactly how it is stated. It was a great place to stay. My wife and I brought our 4 children and my mother in law and we had a great time. The house is very well equipped with everything you may need and the pool was used every day by my kids. The walk to the most beautiful beach is only about 4 minutes. The car that Mike rents was also a great thing to have for running around. We were very impressed with Mike and how easy he was to reach for any question we may have had. He was very helpful on local attractions and picked us up at the airport and dropped us off. We would love to come back someday and spend another week and we will be telling everyone about this great house. Thanks for helping my family make some great memories! The house is located in a very safe gated community which also is a plus."

  • Andante By The Sea

"Andante by The Sea is a beautifully situated and well maintained villa. The view from the south facing rear decks is extraordinary. Full sunrise and sunset views, overlooking a tranquil bay, with some of the best snorkeling on the island. We used the pool and hot tub every night, while gazing at the stars and the beautiful lights of St. Thomas. The bedrooms are air conditioned, which we actually needed a couple of nights, when the usual easterly breezes died down. Access to Cruz Bay and the beaches is an easy (and fun) drive from the villa. The property managers, John and Denise, were a great help in familiarizing us with navigating Cruz Bay, places to visit and eat, and showing us the general house operations. This beautiful home had all the amenities and extras we could have wanted in a vacation villa. We are saving up to re-visit Andante in the near future."

  • Good Choice for our 25th Wedding Anniversary

"We chose Tower House Bungalow for our 25th wedding anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was more than adequate as our base from which to explore the island. We typically cooked breakfast in the well equipped kitchen, packed a lunch to take with us, and ate in one of many restaurants for our evening meal. Renting a car was a must. We started our adventure with a drive completely around the island our first day, choosing places to which we wanted to return. We planned out each day around a significant destination, and filled in with other things to see and do in each area. Our favorite beach was Friar's Bay. There was no seaweed at all. It was fairly quiet. Yet there were two restaurants/bars right on the beach to ensure we had plenty of food and drink. Our favorite adventure was the Rhino Safari, where we rode out to a snorkeling adventure on our own personal mini-boat. We enjoyed it so much we did it twice! Favorite restaurant? It is hard to say. We enjoyed the Dinghy Dock, Mama's Pizza, Beaubeau's, and many more. There were a couple of things that could have made this a little better, and it was mostly communication. First, it was a surprise to find out that air conditioning meant that only our bedroom was air conditioned. Since we arrived on a very hot day, that came as a shock. Once we grew accustomed to the idea, it really was not much of a bother. Secondly, written directions from the airport would have made our first trip across the island much easier. The roads are not well marked, and we had a difficult time finding our rental. Third, if we had been given a gate access code before arriving, we wouldn't have had to park in the narrow street, waiting for someone to open the gate. These things were all fairly minor, but together added up to enough inconvenience that we couldn't quite give a 5-star rating. That said, we would love to return for another visit, knowing now what to expect."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
