  • Great Time

"Both units are great...simple, very efficient and clean with a nice quiet beach only steps away! The on-site staff is very friendly and the price for this little gem is really nice. An ideal place to bring friends/family and rent both units. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Brian"

  • Jay's awesome home

"had such a great time. Jay was great to work with & was so informative. We let him know what we wanted to do there and within 24hrs. he had emailed me all the information I needed to decide wether we were going to do that activity. I was able to basically have my activities arranged ahead of time. The condo is beautiful with up dated appliances etc. i was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. I look forward to going back and will definitely stay at Jay's."

  • Fabulous Villa

"We recently spent a week in this beautiful villa, a special vacation for our whole family; daughter, her husband and my son and his fiancée. My son actually proposed to his girlfriend on Prickly Pear island. Right from the start Todd was prompt to answer all our questions and there were many, having never rented by owner before. He was most helpful with details such as renting a car, discounts on a catamaran trip to Prickly Pear Cay, etc. It was wonderful to have John, the manage meet us at the car rental place and then take us to food shop and give us the tour of the villa. He is such a delightful fellow and even went back to the airport in the evening with my husband to pick up my daughter and her husband. Jesula the housekeeper was great and kept the villa spotless, even did a load of laundry for us. We had her come every other day. The gardener even opened a couple of cocoanuts for us that had fallen off the trees. The grounds are lovely and the view of oyster pond and the surrounding hills is so calming. We especially enjoyed the pool, just soaking up the sun before and after the beaches.. Can't tell you how wonderful it is in the morning to have coffee on the veranda with the sun and breeze. We just loved the openness of the villa with the French doors, like living outside. Loved the closeness of Oyster Pond with the Dinghy Dock, great food and drinks, not to mention the good meal we had at Capt. Oliver's with the sand and surf in front of us. I must mention I felt much relief having a safe and a security system as we did have an engagement ring with us! I know I have written quite a bit but I did read the reviews which helped tremendously with our choice of Todd's villa. You can not go wrong, we had a fabulous vacation here! Hope to return one day! Thank you"

  • Great condo in a great location

"This was our (family of 4) first time down to the Virgin Islands and our stay was perfect. The condo was a good size for us and the kids each had their own bed. It was recently renovated and looked great. And it is right on the beach with beautiful views. You can relax and swim on the sandy beach, snorkel at the reef (we saw sea turtles and lots of cool fish), or hang by the pool. The location on the island is great as well. It is probable a mile or so from Red Hook which has a few restaurants and light shopping plus a ferry that can take you to St. John. I would definitely go back. I should also mention that there are people around, but it is absolutely not crowded, so no worrying about having to reserve a spot on the beach or by the pool at 8 AM, just come and go as you please. We did not rent a car and were fine using the "Safari Bus" and cabs. There were usually cabs hanging out in the parking lot, but it would have been more convenient had we had a car."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
