  • Wonderful vacation villa!

"My family and I loved staying here and I wouldn't hesitate to rent from Rene again! The villa was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. I have 3 teenagers, and our family of 5 was very comfortable here. We were able to buy groceries and eat some of our meals and snacks in the villa which was great, as the restaurants on the Wyndham property are pricey. Having the golf cart to use was a bonus, as we could use all the amenities of the Wyndham like the pools, beach chairs, Tiki hut, etc, and at the end of the day get in our golf cart and go back to our villa and enjoy a glass of wine on the awesome balcony. Rene and his wife Norma met us when we arrived, showed us everything in the villa, then took us driving around the Wyndham property to make sure we knew where everything was. The Villa was close to everything - the rain forest, Fajardo (for the catamarans/sail boats) and only 35 minutes from Old San Juan. Our stay was wonderful and I would highly recommend this villa!"

  • WOW is the only way to describe the view from this unit. It’s breath taking

"WOW is the only way to describe the view from this unit. It’s breath taking. Everything you‘ll need to spend the day at the beach is inside the condo beach chairs, cooler, snorkel gear and towels. If you are unlucky enough like us to have stay in due to rain storm during the evening don’t worry there is everything you need to make some painkillers cook a meal and listen to some music, I do advise bringing an auxiliary cable if you have a newer iPhone model . The condo is impeccably clean and well maintained; sugar beach is less than a minute walk from the condo also Panga’s and one of the 3 pools are within 2 minute walk. The staff that runs the Point Pleasant property now is extremely helpful as I just found out upon arrival they just took over on April 1st 2014. They assisted us with grocery shopping and even picking us up a few times from the red hook area. They operate a shuttle starting from 8am the latest we called for was around 8pm so not sure till what time the shuttle runs. Also they will pick you up from your condo and take you wherever they can drive within the property if you do not feel like walking or have limited mobility. Now about the booking process Ben was extremely helpful and it was very quick and simple no hassles. What you see in pictures does not do the condo justice really. It is closest to red hook out of all the areas to hang out and taking the ferry over to St. John is very easy. Also if you have any activities planned for early in the morning arrange your taxis the day ahead. I stayed for 4 nights with my 2 sisters and as you know us women can over pack. There was enough room for all our things. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for an amazing stay!!"

  • Cabarete March 2014

"This was our second trip to Cabarete the first being in December 2013 where we rented a very nice villa a little further down the beach. As it turns out the very nice villa down the beach is not in the same league as Casa Bonita and I would argue not even the same sport. This villa is fantastic every little detail has been thought of (at least everything we could think of) The owner is very responsive to any enquiry and Marie the maid is great. Thanks for a great week out of the snow Joe, we will be back."

  • Better than expected!!

"We had very high expectations based on the photos here and on other sites. Those expectations were greatly exceeded!! Ivan and his staff could not have been nicer, more supportive or more responsive. We were very excited when we arrived to have beer, wine, water, etc in the fridge. Also a baguette multiple cheeses, meats, candy and coffee. The views are spectacular and it is an easy walk to Happy Bay or Friar's Bay. We felt very safe with a gate for the neighborhood and for the property plus 8 cameras around the property so you can see from every angle. There is a Gardner who lives on site but we never saw him/her. Only saw their motorcycle inside the gate from time to time. The kitchen is very well stocked with any utensil, dish, pot or pan that you could ever need. The only negative was that we expected a washing machine and dryer, but those were only available to the housekeeper. There is a service at the bottom of the hill that will do your laundry for a very reasonable rate. So that was even better than doing it ourselves!! We very highly recommend this place!!"

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
