  • AT VILLA MO WITH MY GRANDCHILDREN...GREAT SUMMER!!

"I love my family and we love spending time together but I work and everyone has their own lives to live, so, once a year I make it a point to get together with all of them and this time was at Villa Mo....what a wonderfull place!! I felt everything was just perfect, the house is so cute, the yard is perfect for my grandchildren to run around, play ball or play with their water toys. The food is very good and you can trust what you are eating because Yany, the maid, is just what you need to complete a great vacation. The Portillo beach is the best of the best for my family because kids can go in without being scared of high waves or the water being too deep...and, the sun...oh, the sun is great, but, using sunscreen is a must. A perfect day is going for a walk when you wake up (it is a must to use a good insect repelent) and maybe swimming a bit too, then go back to the house and have a Dominican breakfast , then take a "breakfast nap" and then go to the beach with a Presidente beer and some snacks and stay there doing nothing or reading or swimming or kite surfing if you dare or....just being on vacations!! Then going back to the house and going into the little pool will freshen up your body and after a while you can have a nice dinner or go out to Terrenas to one of the many good small restaurants you can find (if you like disco dancing, you'll find that too). Or, if you like, talk to Monica, the owner, and tell her you would like to eat marshmallows in a bonfire at night and she can arrange it too. I truly appreciate Monica and Cuqui's hospitality, their help in making our stay at Villa Mo and unforgettable one was a complete success!!"

  • Awesome Stay!!!

"This place is a modern, beautifully decorated , spacious condo located in Cupecoy! The pictures of the condo are 100% accurate and do not do any justice to the actual views which are simply stunning!!! It has 2 balconies with unobstructed views of the front of the building (entrance to the gated property) and the back (ocean view). The highlights of the property are the WiFi, a cell phone for use, surround sound system, flat screen TVs, fully equipped kitchen, tennis court, pool, gym, and day spa. Cannot say enough about the location!!! Location is everything as they say and this condo is in the perfect spot! Located on the Dutch side of the island but easily accessible to the French side, Airport is 10 minuets away, Maho (restaurants, shops, bars, Casino Royale) is 5 minuets away, Atlantic Casino & Temptation Restaurant (one of our favorite spots for dinner) are walking distance across the street, The Blue Mall & a grocery store is 2 minuets away, the Mullet Bay Golf Course (and Mullet Bay Beach) is 3 minuets away. The cherry on top? The condo comes with an available rental car (Unheard of!! Great amenity!!) for use so feel free to explore the island! We did and we fell in love with Pinel Island (accessible by ferry $10 RT). St. Maarten is a great island to visit because it can be relaxing, while still being entertaining. If you are not a 'beach person' for example, there is still a ton of other activities to do on this particular island. There are a lot of options in terms of entertainment. All-in-all a must stay! The owner of this condo is incredibly accommodating! We had a fantastic time in St. Maarten! A beautiful island with friendly people. You will definitely enjoy yourself!"

  • A beautiful Villa on St. John, USVI

"Aqua Bay Villa exceeded all of our expectations!!! The villa is spacious and beautifully decorated. Conviently located to downtown Cruz Bay (a short walk) and a few steps from Frank Bay which has some of the most amazing sunsets you will ever see. The owners are very accesible and will make sure your stay will be a memorable experience. Their management and cleaning team are exceptional. We have been to this beautiful island over 20 times and Aqua Bay Villa is by far the nicest property we have had the pleasure to rent."

  • Peaceful Simpson Bay

"Let me start by saying, this is no high rise mega resort. No crowds or pushy rental kiosks. That being said, let me tell what we experienced. From the beginning, our communications with the owner were timely, clear and concise. Upon our arrival a property manager representative met us at our designated car rental company. We were accompanied to our condo and shown around till we were comfortable. An unexpected welcome basket awaited us, which came in handy since we had not been to the grocery yet. The condo itself was just as advertised. Spotless, well appointed and ideally located in the middle of Simpson Bay Beach. A short beach walk to Karakter and Marys Boon for meals, drinks and entertainment. The owner checked in with us to make sure everything was as expected and to see if there was anything we needed. As a 3 time St Maarten visitor we did lot's of exploring but would always come back to the quiet and peaceful Simpson Bay Beach to unwind in the afternoon. We visited Pinel Island for the first time and would highly recommend. Unfortunetly our week passed all to quickly and we had to return home. Our deposit was quickly refunded. We hope to come back again soon. Great accomodations. Thanx Tony & Anita"

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
