  • A great place to get away from it all

"After reading all the positive reviews, we were sold! The reviews were all true! This is a comfortable rustic creole type home on a small elevation in a nice area of houses. A beautiful view of the ocean directly in sight from the pool deck and dining area. Two beaches within walking distance, Friars Bay and Happy Bay. This is a good base for sightseers and adventuring types. We used it as a base for relaxing, beaching and ROMANCE. Great dining all around the island, which is easy to get around, albeit pricey. A great place to relax on the deck area with a bottle of wine after a day of beaches. I would recommend it to my friends and we will come back. The owners are very cordial and helpful. I would only ask for a small music player. Thanks Veronique!"

  • An absolute slice of heaven in the Caribbean

"From the moment we arrived to receive the warmest and most genuine welcome from Danny and Ann, until our regret-filled departure one week later, my wife and I simply loved every minute of our time at Marigot Palms. The property is impeccably cared for and is in absolutely perfect condition from top to bottom, inside and out. The view of magical Marigot Bay (where the Dr. Doolittle movie was filmed in 1967) filled us with wonder each and every morning - and afternoon and evening. We explored the island of St. Lucia quite thoroughly (we rented a car, but Danny is a skilled and generous tour guide, as well), and our assessment is that Marigot Bay must surely be among the most beautiful spots on this beautiful island. St. Lucia is an incredibly friendly, safe, and interesting island to visit. Danny and Ann's hospitality simply must be experienced first-hand to be truly understood. They are the perfect hosts, who inevitably feel like new friends from the start. When my wife got sick and needed emergency medical care, Danny jumped on the phone and got us to the best emergency facility on the island (about a 25 minute drive) - by the way, the ER care equalled any experience we've had in the U.S., and all was well in the end. Marigot Palms has great access to all that Marigot Bay has to offer, including multiple restaurants, and a beach with facilities for renting paddle boards, kayaks, sunfishes, etc. This is a delightfully different vacation experience from the all-inclusive properties throughout the Caribbean. Marigot Palms is exclusive without being prohibitively expensive - it's one of the best deals going in the islands, and if there were more than 5 stars, I would certainly assign the highest rating possible for every single attribute and characteristic of this wonderful slice of heaven."

  • AMAZING STUDIO - STUNNING VIEWS - GREAT OWNER!

"From reserving, to receiving the rental agreement, to arriving ...the owner made it very easy. The apt is spectacular, views are amazing - furnishings are very comfortable and every effort was made to insure it was clean and ready for my arrival. If you've never booked a rental apartment on your own - this is definitely the one to book! Great location - right in the heart of Condado. No car necessary! The pool is great - gets sun all day long - no kids!!! and there's a new gym on the second flr next to the immaculately clean laundry room. I can't speak highly enough about my month-long stay."

  • Stunning!!!

"From the moment we first inquired about this lovely home to the moment we arrived, Richard was an excellent host and wealth of information. The caretakers were warm and while not intrusive, routinely checked on our family to assure we had everything we needed. We have traveled the world, and our family unanimously agree that every aspect of this vacation was perfect. The gorgeous home, warm Dominicans, and spectacularly beautiful nature exceeded our expectations. Without hesitation, we recommend this home and experience. Thank you Richard for sharing your home! Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
