  • perfect vacation condo

"We went with 2 teenager boys, and stayed at the condo for 1 week. The condo was spacious, immaculate, and perfectly outfitted for cooking. The maid service was wonderful. We all thoroughly enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the alcove. The owner was always available by phone to deal with any issues that arose during our stay. I am definitely going to stay at this place when I go back to Grand Cayman in the future."

  • Fantastic Vacation Place

"We highly recommend this villa. It is very spacious and perfect for our family (myself and my husband, our 20 yr old daughter and her friend). Both bedrooms were huge and had plenty of closet space. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining table was large and well-suited to our card games. The view of the mountains was beautiful and the patio large and peaceful. We enjoyed taking the golf cart to the resort pool and beach. We used the chairs and table at the resort beach and found the water and waves to be perfect for body surfing. The drives to Luquillo and to Old San Juan weren't too far. We had dessert at one of the resort restaurants, which was good. Richie's up the mountain provided an amazing view for lunch; the pineapple rice and burgers were very good. We had a delicious dinner of authentic local food at El Rincon del Sabor- we highly recommend it! The owners were very responsive to our questions. We loved the villa and the setting and would highly recommend it. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to return someday."

  • Perfect Villa!

"We have been traveling to St Martin every year for the last 20 years or so staying at various places within the Orient Bay vicinity. This year as the villa we normally stay at was booked we stayed here. The villa is absolutely gorgeous - very spacious with plenty of room and amenities. With one bedroom upstairs and one down - it affords privacy for all! There are a total of 2 1/2 baths, a fabulous kitchen stocked with all tools necessary and even those you did not think you needed. The deck/ pool area is again terrific - we enjoyed using the Jacuzzi every night! Consider eating at Rancho del Sol - we ate there twice and the food was great and reasonably priced."

  • Awesome getaway

"We rented this house for a week and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating a special birthday for my wife and planned a surprise getaway with our three adult kids (and grandchild). Fortunately for us, the houses on either side of us were empty for the week so we had 3 miles of white sandy beach to ourselves. Walks in the morning with our coffee looking to see what washed up on the beach, snorkeling around the reef or casting a fishing rod during the day and just relaxing by the pool in the evening provided the perfect setting. Spectacular sun rises and sunsets along with star gazing later in the evening were reasons to jump up in the morning and stay up most of the night. We had a chance to stop at a couple of the local restaurants and the food was surprisingly good. Calling ahead was given new meaning when we found out that you actually had to call the restaurants by noon and order your meal then. It was well worth it, the food was great. We even had a night of pizza where one of the locals "went off" menu and made about 8 pizzas for us. The majority of us never left the property. When we did, we either left for dining out a couple nights or replenishing the spirit waters that seemed to flow amply throughout the day. Grocery stores were nearby and we became a bit of a spectacle when we left with 3 shopping carts full of food the first day. The only issue for the week was the "no - see 'ims" which Kevin and Holton warned us about. They are these little tiny fleas (thus the name) and the pack a pretty good bite - somewhat like a mosquito bite. We were all fine until around Wednesday evening when they came out. We found the best remedy was to drink more alcohol... As some of the other reviews mentioned, if you are looking for tranquility and privacy, this is the place."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
