  • Wonderful Property

"My wife and I chose to stay at the Boulder house because of its proximity to everything in Spanish Town and that it came with a truck. The house was all that we needed for our week long stay and everything was 5-10 minutes away driving. The views were amazing but sadly every night the sunset was overcast and we didn't have a perfect one, but it was still a great view. The home is on top of a hill with an excellent breeze all day and we didn't miss our air conditioning. The only downside to staying here with more than 2 people is that it is a railroad style setup so if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to walk through the one bedroom. This didn't affect our trip, but wanted to throw it out there in case anyone was interested. All in all the owner and the property managers are top notch! We never got to meet the maid Shirley however she made sure the house was perfect every day."

  • Amazing vacation at Sea Grape

"Sea Grape exceeded my expectations. The cliffs were the right choice for us to stay and Sea Grape offered luxury, privacy, authenticity, hospitality - everything you could want in a villa. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so amazing."

  • Great Stay

"Accommodations, furnishings, and service great. Stephane and staff very gracious and willing to assist in every way possible. Interesting the service is levels-above what you generally experience in France! Because you are on a resort cut off from access to the local surroundings, expect to pay a premium for meals and food. Some of the facilities on-resort are better values than others. Le Domaine has just opened a beach cabana bar that is very good and a fair value. AVOID "La Table du Marche", an-on site restaurant that's astronomical in price and mediocre at best. Consider renting a car on-site for a very reasonable rate. Stock up at one of the two local "supermarche's" and prepare in your very well furnished kitchen. One day's worth of groceries will more than pay for the rental car. The jet ski tour, while costly, is two-hours long, beautiful, and worth every penny- do it!"

  • Great first trip to TCI...Got lucky with this choice!

"GREAT location for access to beach for snorkeling, boating activities, & short/long walks to either the busier end or quieter areas of Grace Bay Beach. Particularly personable & helpful staff in office, & cleaning, & the famously helpful Jerome on the beach. Coral Gardens 1 bed condo was perfect for 2 of us. Well appointed & furnished with good size deck for enjoying the view of the beach. Unlike many VRBO condos, it even came with some basic supplies like coffee & filters! AND beach chaises with palapas were always available. FAVORITES: Location; snorkeling (directly in front of condo & other locations); SOMEWHERE CAFE & Bar (on-site with great food & drinks reasonable priced); accomodations. NOT-SO-MUCH: Very expensive island for almost everything; too many children around during school vacation weeks disrupted peace & quiet on occasion. SUMMATION: We will go back to Coral Gardens....on a different week."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
