  • Romantic Getaway

"This gorgeous, beachfront property is perfect for a romantic getaway! There is a private pool that is very refreshing. Great location on the beach near the marina, where you can watch the yachts go by. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Renting a car is highly suggested. We explored the island every day. We walked a different location of this stunning beach every morning, as it goes on for miles! Star gazing is amazing as well!"

  • Holiday in Belize

"This was our second trip back to this excellent resort. We wanted some place laid back and warm for the holidays and once again Wolfgang and his staff, Elden and Merta, provided the perfect get away. We sat on the beach, swam, had a massage on the beach, ate great seafood and lazed away the holiday season. We have visited in both off and high sesaon and this condo is just far way from town to offer a complete retreat while still allowing you to take advantage of all San Pedro has to offer. We highly recommend and will come back again."

  • Simply the Best

"I've rented very many properties but never felt so welcome or had such a great time as I did here. The cheery wooden building has an upstairs with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. There’s another en-suite bedroom downstairs and a useful half-bath/laundry room. The house has everything you need from well equipped kitchen to fast internet connection. Outside is a large deck with table, chairs, deck chairs and a comfortable sofa. A few feet away is the lovely white sand beach. I’d say the location is the best on the island and Jody and Tara are building a second house next door. They were away on our arrival day so Jody’s lovely mum showed us to the house and helped us with supplies. His dad popped round later to check we were settling in okay. Spanish Wells and Russell Island can be explored with the golf cart. It fits perfectly with the laidback feel of the place and allows the friendly locals time to wave as they pass. There's always something to do on the beach, you can snorkel off it, enjoy the sea kayaks with a trip to the small rocky islands opposite the house, go walking or shelling or get your camera out or just relax on the loungers under the warm Bahamian sun. After dark there’s an excellent view of the Milky Way. We had everything from windy and stormy to pleasant and calm, it all added interest and didn't stop us doing anything we wanted. If you wish to go a little further afield take a short boat ride to Eleuthera and watch the Atlantic crash into the Caribbean at the Glass Window then take a drive to see caves, rock pools and beaches. The ferries from the other side of Eleuthera will take you to Harbour Island. Snorkelling in the warm waters around Spanish Wells or on Devil's Backbone reef is a must, they’re teaming with interesting sea life for you to look at. Then there's Jody and Tara, two of the nicest, most generous people you’ll ever meet. Nothing is too much trouble, they just want you to have a great holiday. The lobster tails they welcomed us with were only topped by Jody's enviable skill with a bbq. Let's just say that Jody was also a big help with our day trips, the result being a brilliant and totally stress free holiday. You might arrive as strangers, but you'll leave as friends. Thank you Jody and Tara. I can pay this place no greater compliment than to say I want to go back. If you want to rent a relaxing slice of paradise from a couple of completely trustworthy and decent people, stop looking, you just found it."

  • Honeymoon Stay

"My wife and I rented this villa for our honeymoon. We could not be happier with the outcome of our stay. We absolutely loved out villa. We loved it so much we stayed at the villa, swimming and lying out in the sun until we had to leave in the early evening for our flight. The villa was very private, which was perfect for our honeymoon. We loved the pool area. Leon did an excellent job constructing it (He built this villa himself)! Modern feel inside the villa, but not overly done. Every room is air conditioned, which is a must is St. Barths. Very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all of the tools/ingredients you will need for your stay (pots/pans, cooking utensils, seasonings). All 3 bedrooms are set apart from each other enough so if you are vacationing with your family or other couples, you will have you space. Leon also installed colored lamps under the beds to make things festive ;). Leon and Lawrence were so nice. Whatever we needed they were there to help. Could not ask for better people to rent from. As for location, it was only a 11 minute drive into Gustavia. Everything is so close, so if your are worried about being so far away, don't! I am sure we will be back someday for an our yearly trip, when we do, we will be contacting Leon and Laurence."

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
