  • Awesome Place to Stay

"This is a great place to stay. It was a terrific location and in great shape. The detriment was the communication. Two days before I arrived I made contact with the only person I had a phone number or email for. I received nothing further on the questions and other info I was trying to obtain. My concierge sent me an email at 1 am before my 6 am flight and had not answered it by my arrival time. I then had no contact info, condo number, gate code etc to be able to check in."

  • Hidden gem

"We loved every minute at your lovely town home. I can see this being a great spot to visit with family and friends. The house has everything you need for your stay. The views are breathtaking and location is very quiet. You are basically about 5-10 min away from Magens Bay and about 15 min from RedHook. We loved the Grill at the Golf Course and dined there 2x. For breakfast we would eat and buy lunch to go at the nearby Cork Coffee Spot. They have coffees and anything you may need for the day. I highly recommend staying at Pinapple Hill - You will not regret it!"

  • Great Vaction Property

"We really enjoyed our week at Villa Harty. The weather was fabulous which made the pool and amenities very enjoyable. Each day we walked on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful view. The accommodations were great and very suitable for 8 adults. We had our own private maid and grounds keeper which were both very attentive and accommodating. We also used the chef for two days and enjoyed being pampered with delicious meals. We went to the village nightly for either meals or drinks and had a great time. There was a wide variety of places to choose from and live entertainment at some of the bars. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this location to others and hope to return to this piece of paradise in the future."

  • GREAT MULTI FAMILY GETAWAY LOCATION

"In the space available here, I cannot begin to share all the great things about our stay with Sunrise Villa. Kevin & Chris were incredibly helpful with our preparations prior to arrival. Chris, Ramon, Sandy and the rest of the staff were incredible. They went above and beyond to insure we had a trip to remember. Meals were designed to cater to our dietary needs and our schedule. Our group has lasting memories spanning 3 generations. We are already planning our next visit! My daughter's 11th birthday was a true celebration complete with a great dinner, cake, local bands and a bonfire on the beach. One night Ramon brought the bar to us as we sat out on the cliffs to watch the Delta Aquarid meteor shower. The passion fruit mojitos were a big hit too! Several of us enjoyed massages, manicures and pedicures on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, listening to the waves crash below. Our dinner out at La Catalina, with a great bar and incredible view, was fantastic. Then we headed to Manny's bar located oceanfront in downtown Cabrera. Fun, fun night. Our day at Playa Grande was a blast. I'm not a beach person, so when I say I not only stayed all day, but I went back to the villa to fetch more Presidente and a couple guests that had stayed behind, it means something. Monkey Jungle is a worthwhile trip 1.5 hours towards Peurto Plata. Especially knowing that you're supporting the Dental Clinic mission serving Haitians and Dominicans. From the minute we arrived, we felt truly welcome. As we left, we felt that we would be truly missed. As for our group, I know we had a great time visiting with life-long friends, making new friends, and celebrating life at Sunrise Villa!"

Mexican Caribbean Travel Tips

Finding Your Way to Mexican Caribbean Vacation Rentals

The primary airport on the Mexican Caribbean coast is in Cancun. Over the years, Cancun has become a vibrant resort vacation destination that is popular with international travelers. Cancun International Airport has regular daily flights with most major cities in the United States. There are also regular commercial flights to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid. Many national air carriers from South America also have scheduled flights from cities such as Sao Paolo, Lima, Caracus and Bogota. Because of its good flight connections, Cancun often serves as a travel hub for European travelers visiting Central America and the Caribbean. Cancun has a state-of-the-art cruise port where many international cruise liners dock for a few days as part of their cruises. Guests disembark to enjoy the stunning beaches and excellent shopping opportunities in the region.

Best Time of Year to Travel to Mexican Caribbean Villas

Mexico's Caribbean coastline enjoys a warm tropical climate. There is little seasonal difference in the temperatures. The main seasonal difference is in the amount of rainfall that occurs and the resulting higher levels of humidity. The coastline is susceptible to tropical storms that sometimes blow through in the late summer months of August and September. This is traditionally the low tourist season. For all other times of the year, there is a consistent influx of travelers to Mexico's Caribbean coast. The peak travel season is often in December when the weather is a little more temperate and there are lower levels of humidity. The peak season often extends to April and includes the Easter vacation period.

Activities and Attractions at Mexican Caribbean Resort Rentals

Some of the main attractions on the Mexico Caribbean coastline are the many superb resorts that are concentrated there. Many of these resorts offer vacations on an all-inclusive basis where guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and sporting activities. Water sports centers have windsurfers, sea kayaks, paddle skis, Jet Skis and boats available so guests can enjoy the warm tropical waters. Volleyball and racquetball sets are also set up on the beachfront. Tournaments and various other activities and excursions are frequently arranged by the resorts. Most of the resorts are concentrated in Cancun and on the nearby island of Cozumel.

This stretch of Mexico's coast is home to one of the world's largest barrier reefs. It extends from the top of the Yucatan Peninsula down the length of the country and then still further south to Belize and Guatemala. This reef provides excellent diving and has sites suitable for both novice and advanced divers. For those who prefer to snorkel, there are many sections of shallow reefs off the coast of Cancun and Cozumel where you can go on a snorkeling excursion. The area is also home to some of the most significant Mayan temples and ruins. Guided tours provide insight into the ancient Aztec culture and traditions. Many of the ruins are set amongst dense tropical foliage and just getting there is an adventure in itself. For travelers looking for a quieter vacation destination along the Mexican Caribbean coast, there are many smaller resorts further south along the coast
