  • quiet and charming

"This house is in a quiet little fishing village. It is not as private as I thought, as there are small houses on each side, but it is pretty private. It is an older house, but it is really comfortable, and it really grew on us. We loved it more each day , and after 2 weeks we didn't want to go. It is on the west coast of Barbados, which is the nicest for swimming and beaches and good restaurants. We went to Mullins beach alot to keep our teenage boys busy. Post St. Charles beach is also nice. We did our grocery shopping in Holetown. It was a 15 minute drive away. Sprightstown was a little run down. There is also a small grocery store down the road from the house. (a 2 minute walk) MY favorite beach in Barbados was Crane beach. It's worth the trip! OUr favorite restaurants were The Lone Star, The Tides, Daphnes (a little pretentious, but the food was good), and the Fishing Pot. Eric, the care taker stopped by once in awhile, and he is really nice. The snorkeling in front of the house is a treat, and falling asleep each night to the sound of the ocean is priceless!"

  • Unbelievable Views!!!

"You cannot go wrong with this Condo!! My family of four (two young kids) rented for over a week and and had a terrific time - I would highly recommend!! The view of the ocean from the very large open air balcony (well furnished with comfortable lounges) is absolutely SPECTACULAR. There are 3 pools, a playground, a gym, tennis courts and a 1/2 basketball court (all of which are in top-notch condition)- plenty to keep you (and your kids) busy during your stay. The location is like 5 mins from major stores (Walmart, Ralph's Supermarket, CVS, Papa Johns...) and 5 mins from Seven Seas Beach (itself an unbelievable experience) or to the Ferry to take you to Viequs or Culebra. I cannot say enough good things about the place - you'll love it!"

"Wow! Truly paradise. This is the best..the view..awesome. We loved the condo. We cooked often, the kitchen was full of many kitchen cooking needs. Nice places to eat out if you don't want to cook, walkable. Golf cart is necessary. Clean, fresh and fun! We will return."

  • Awesome Vacation

"My Wife, 2 boys and I enjoyed our week at the Ritz Club in St Thomas. The Staff at the property are amazing. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. The owner, Ken, was great to work with. We were last minute on our planning and he worked very hard to make this vacation happen for us. He also provided us with information he has gathered about the resort and the Island over the last 17 years he and his family have been vacationing there. We had such a great time. We went fishing and caught 60 lbs of Black fin Tuna. It was so good. The Deckhand cut one up on the way back to the resort and we had sushi on the boat. We took the ferry over to St. John and snorkeled Trunk Bay which was rated one of the top beaches in the world. We took a boat over to Virgin Gorda and toured these huge rock formations called the Baths. We went too Cook island with a population of only 35 residences and had a great lunch. We snorkeled the caves of Norman Island where pirates hid their treasure. There is so much to do around the Islands and on the Island. We took a water Taxi over to Hassel Island where we rented a golf cart to tour the island. We visited the old WW2 Artillery Bunker which was very interesting and has great views. Then we Golf carted down to a beautiful Bay and ate a great meal at an open air beach restaurant and swam in the bay with the kids all afternoon. The Ritz Carlton Club on St Thomas is an ideal vacation for Families because it is located so close to all of the activities and has seperate bedrooms for everyone and a kitchen. We ate several meals in the residence. Their is a grocery store 5 minutes from the resort with everything a mainland store would have. We had maid service every day. They changed our linens mid week and we had turn down service every night. We loved our Housekeeper. She became part of the Family by weeks end. To sum it all up. The owner was great to work with. St Thomas is a great vacation destination with many activities to do and incredible beaches if you just want to relax. The Ritz Carlton Club is the most luxurious accommodation on the island. I couldn't think of a better place to Stay on St. Thomas. We will be back again."

Netherlands Antilles Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Netherlands Antilles Vacation Rentals

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean. They enjoy a year-round warm tropical climate where the season is defined by the the amount of rain rather than the temperatures. There is little different between summer and winter except that in the summer months, there are higher levels of humidity and greater amounts of rainfall. Late summer is when tropical storms can blow through and this is therefore the low travel season. At other times of year, the islands enjoy a warm climate. The peak travel season is from December to April which coincides with the dry season. This conveniently coincides with the winter season of the northern hemisphere and is a welcome excuse for travelers from the United States, Canada and Europe to escape from the chilly winter temperatures back home.

Traveling to the Netherlands Antilles Villas

The Netherlands Antilles are made up of several islands. Each has its own international airport and good flight connections. Curacao, St. Maarten, Saba, Bonaire and St. Eustatius are the five islands. The airports on Curacao, St. Maarten and Bonaire are equipped to handle long-haul international flights and there are regular commercial arrivals from Amsterdam, Miami, Atlanta, New York City and Caracus in South America. The other islands have shorter runways which can accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. When traveling to one of the smaller islands, you can get regional flight connections. There are also ferry connections between St. Maarten and Saba that operate on a weekly basis.

Attractions and Activities near Netherlands Antilles Resort Rentals

Being tropical islands in the Caribeban, their primary attractions are the beautiful sandy beaches. If you do nothing else on your vacation, you can laze in the sun and enjoy the warm weather and stunning tropical scenery. When you want to cool off, you can g for a swim in the turquoise ocean that surrounds the islands. The islands have magnificent coral reefs and places like Saba are often considered some of the most elite dive sites of the world. Crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and gentle currents all combine to make for ideal diving conditions.

Rich coral reefs and walls are home to a myriad of reef fish. If you want to see the larger pelagic, you can do some big blue dives or explore the drop-offs. This is definitely a destination where you will want to have an advanced diving certification so you can get to enjoy the very best of the dive sites. Some of the shallower reefs and coral bommies can be enjoyed from the water's surface. Cruises and snorkeling excursions can take you out to the reefs where you can enjoy hours of snorkeling. Make sure you lather on loads of sunscreen when you go on a snorkeling excursion to avoid getting sunburned. On the islands, there are national parks and wildlife sanctuaries where you can go birdwatching and explore nature trails. Sailing is a popular pastime and cruise charters can be easily arranged.

Visitors to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in the Netherlands Antilles
