  • We Loved Casa Amarillo ! Best Vacation Ever

"Paula nd Brad, Thank you so much for all your help with the trip! You are the greatest people and easy to work with for renting a house in San Pedro. All your advice made the trip even better!! We absolutely loved your wonderful home, Casa Amarillo in San Pedro. Our family of 4 had plenty of room and the pool and dock were amazing. The trip went so smooth and we were picked up at water taxi dock by your staff and they already had our golf cart waiting in parking lot! On way home, we took Tropic Air and it was so easy and a beautiful scenic trip from the air. (Even with our entire luggage…LOL) My husband now considers himself a fisherman. He was at the dock first thing every morning and even had Lone Star Grill cook his fish for him!! (Great restaurant near the house) We were able to go right from the dock on a snorkeling tour and saw incredible fish, sharks and sea rays in Shark Alley. It was so close to the house and made it a breeze to go on tours from the dock. Loved that the house was south of bridge! The golf cart rides were great adventures and still miss going around town and seeing all the sights. So Much to do in San Pedro and many places to visit!! I snorkeled every day from the dock and relaxed and read my book. VERY relaxing and perfect house for family of 4 and we only used the bottom half of the house. The best food was made by Marfa!! We had Marfa fix us lobster dinner one night and her lobster fritters were amazing (calamari too)!! She fixed our meals at least 3 times and wished I had done it more! We loved going in town on the golf cart and even went to the Palapa Bar north of the bridge and had the best time drinking in the water with a bunch of great friends we met while we were there. Cruz was awesome and played volleyball with the boys and also prepared our fire so we were able to cook s'mores and stare at the beautiful stars by the ocean! It was our favorite vacation by far and the house made it the best! I looked at other houses in San Pedro and still love Casa Amarillo the best as the ac worked great and pool, dock and bar was awesome! House was always kept up and we only wish we could have stayed another week! I will call you soon as need to book for next year! PS: Even "Cookie", the best watch-dog ever, made us feel welcome!! Thanks for everything!! The Boggess Family Southlake TX"

  • Great place!

"The house had everything except we couldn't find a cooler for day trips. Two couples had privacy. Excellent location and as others said we saw tropical fish, grouper, bone fish, sting rays, barracudas and some nurse sharks from the balcony. Kayaking was awesome as was snorkeling. Short walk to the beautiful beach too. Our fourth trip to the island. Only negative was the guy with the house key...he said he didn't expect us until the following day even though we called ahead - he said we didn't speak with him??? Only rude person on the island. The owners are easy to work with and we appreciated the nice place. We recommend the home for sure."

  • Great Condo & Location!

"Just returned from Kiribe. We enjoyed a 14 day stay on the island and the last four at Kiribe. Condo was clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed those beach chairs. We opted to drive down to the beach. It is a bit much with coolers, chairs, and snorkel gear. Everything on the beach was closed down but we always go prepared. Disappointed the pool was being refurbished while we were there, but found another one, one level up and it was beautiful. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. Very close to red hook and other beaches on the east end."

Netherlands Antilles Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Netherlands Antilles Vacation Rentals

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean. They enjoy a year-round warm tropical climate where the season is defined by the the amount of rain rather than the temperatures. There is little different between summer and winter except that in the summer months, there are higher levels of humidity and greater amounts of rainfall. Late summer is when tropical storms can blow through and this is therefore the low travel season. At other times of year, the islands enjoy a warm climate. The peak travel season is from December to April which coincides with the dry season. This conveniently coincides with the winter season of the northern hemisphere and is a welcome excuse for travelers from the United States, Canada and Europe to escape from the chilly winter temperatures back home.

Traveling to the Netherlands Antilles Villas

The Netherlands Antilles are made up of several islands. Each has its own international airport and good flight connections. Curacao, St. Maarten, Saba, Bonaire and St. Eustatius are the five islands. The airports on Curacao, St. Maarten and Bonaire are equipped to handle long-haul international flights and there are regular commercial arrivals from Amsterdam, Miami, Atlanta, New York City and Caracus in South America. The other islands have shorter runways which can accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. When traveling to one of the smaller islands, you can get regional flight connections. There are also ferry connections between St. Maarten and Saba that operate on a weekly basis.

Attractions and Activities near Netherlands Antilles Resort Rentals

Being tropical islands in the Caribeban, their primary attractions are the beautiful sandy beaches. If you do nothing else on your vacation, you can laze in the sun and enjoy the warm weather and stunning tropical scenery. The islands have magnificent coral reefs and places like Saba are often considered some of the most elite dive sites of the world. Crystal-clear visibility, warm water temperatures, and gentle currents all combine to make for ideal diving conditions.

Rich coral reefs and walls are home to a myriad of reef fish. If you want to see the larger pelagic, you can do some big blue dives or explore the drop-offs. This is definitely a destination where you will want to have an advanced diving certification so you can get to enjoy the very best of the dive sites. Some of the shallower reefs and coral bommies can be enjoyed from the water's surface. Cruises and snorkeling excursions can take you out to the reefs where you can enjoy hours of snorkeling. Make sure you lather on loads of sunscreen when you go on a snorkeling excursion to avoid getting sunburned. On the islands, there are national parks and wildlife sanctuaries where you can go birdwatching and explore nature trails. Sailing is a popular pastime and cruise charters can be easily arranged.

Visitors to Caribbean Vacation Rentals in the Netherlands Antilles

The Netherland Antilles are generally considered more up-market destinations because they are quite remote and expensive. On the island, you will find predominantly European travelers from the Netherlands and France. The islands are becoming increasingly popular with travelers from North America, particularly those who have an interest in scuba diving. The world-class diving is probably one of the main attractions that draws travelers from around the globe.
