  • Great Time was had by all

"Perfect spot for a girls vacation!! 8 friends rented this villa and could not be happier. Villa was in a very safe gated community - never felt unsafe at all. Less than 1minute and you are at the beach, almost a private beach away from the people trying to sell you something every minute - could not ask for a prettier spot. House was recently painted and other repairs done so it was in great shape. Perfect combination of sun and shade for those who want both. Without a doubt hire the chef. We had 2 different ones during our stay and they were both superb. We ate like royalty every day. Jose the driver goes out of his way to help you and is very sweet. We had one issue and it was immediately taken care of by the owner and Peggy the manager. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Town is a 10-15 minute walk away or a quick cab ride and there a re great restaurants and bars. Don't hesitate to stay here you will not be disappointed."

  • Golf and Beach Vacation

"Beautiful house on Links Golf Course's 9th hole met all our requirements including a pool and airy, open living spaces and fully-equipped kitchen. The owners were helpful in supplying detailed information about available amenities and contacts for finding necessities such as a car and golf cart. Casa de Campo is well maintained and security is very good despite our visit being during a very low-season week. A great cook and housemaid were available to make our stay a restful one. We recommend this villa for a great golfing, tennis, and beach-bathing vacation in a community that's easy to get around in to find things of interest. Beautiful sunsets too."

  • A Beautiful Week In Las Terrenas

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Pachuco in Las Terrenas! It was a perfect place to get away from the sub-zero temperatures and 8 inches of snow back home. We were there for one week and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Paul was an excellent taxi driver and China kept the house looking great. Isabelle was available if we needed anything. The pictures seen here are a few years old (some of the trees are a lot taller now), but the house still looks just as beautiful. The enclosed grounds were very private and wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The gorgeous beach was just a short walk down the road and we almost had the whole beach to ourselves. We chose Villa Pachuco because my wife is in a wheelchair and the house is very spacious and open. She could get around the grounds and the lower level of the house very well, although the door openings to the bathrooms were too narrow for her wheelchair. Also, the sink and shower area in the lower bedroom was a tight fit so she could not reach them (but she could reach the sink in the kitchen). The road to the beach was extremely rough. I was able to push her down it the 200 yards to the beach, but it was a chore. Overall, it was a perfect trip. We would definitely go back again and hopefully take some of our family with us."

  • Great spot on the beach for couples.

"The location of this rental is wonderful because it is close to Grand Case and lots of great restaurants, and the beach access is great! We found the studio exactly as described and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (coffee pot, toaster oven, clothes drying rack, and even some mosquito candles), and there were even a few helpful books about the island. Although we only used it to check our flight status, there is wifi and TV too. We had a great time, and there were some nice aspects of the place that definitely helped make our stay better. They have beach chairs and a mini cooler available for use, and even a short beach chair that we took with us for a day at Happy Bay. We saw the owners Nicole and Daniel a few times during out stay, and they were very attentive and sincere about making sure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Anna is also very helpful and accommodating. We paid for an additional cleaning during our extended stay, and she was great to make sure the day was convenient for us. There is parking, but it can be a pain to get a spot. The location really is great, but it is not ideal walking on the street in the evening. Overall, it is a great value for the price, and I'd recommend this to couples."

Netherlands Antilles Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Netherlands Antilles Vacation Rentals

The Netherlands Antilles are a group of islands located in the Caribbean. They enjoy a year-round warm tropical climate where the season is defined by the the amount of rain rather than the temperatures. There is little different between summer and winter except that in the summer months, there are higher levels of humidity and greater amounts of rainfall. Late summer is when tropical storms can blow through and this is therefore the low travel season. At other times of year, the islands enjoy a warm climate. The peak travel season is from December to April which coincides with the dry season. This conveniently coincides with the winter season of the northern hemisphere and is a welcome excuse for travelers from the United States, Canada and Europe to escape from the chilly winter temperatures back home.

Traveling to the Netherlands Antilles Villas

The Netherlands Antilles are made up of several islands. Each has its own international airport and good flight connections. Curacao, St. Maarten, Saba, Bonaire and St. Eustatius are the five islands. The airports on Curacao, St. Maarten and Bonaire are equipped to handle long-haul international flights and there are regular commercial arrivals from Amsterdam, Miami, Atlanta, New York City and Caracus in South America. The other islands have shorter runways which can accommodate smaller commercial aircraft. When traveling to one of the smaller islands, you can get regional flight connections. There are also ferry connections between St. Maarten and Saba that operate on a weekly basis.

The islands have magnificent coral reefs and places like Saba are often considered some of the most elite dive sites of the world. Rich coral reefs and walls are home to a myriad of reef fish. If you want to see the larger pelagic, you can do some big blue dives or explore the drop-offs. Make sure you lather on loads of sunscreen when you go on a snorkeling excursion to avoid getting sunburned.
